Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Just as promised, we were able to come into this week swinging with all manner of fun updates for our video games and then keep it all going. Cthulhu Cthulhu is rising up once again with the reveal of the upcoming title The Mound: Omen Of Cthulhu that we just had It is still the season of all of the Lovecraft style games out there, as we have the reveal for The Mound: Omen Of Cthulhu. The next title that Nacon had to show off during their little stream with ACE Team behind it all to give us another twist on the setting. This time, though, it is not going to be a solo adventure out there into the madness of the Cthulhu mythology. Mortal Kombat A deeper look at the T-1000 in Mortal Kombat 1 is here as we get ready for another termination in the Mortal Kombat 1 world We have seen a bit of the fighter already for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, but here we go with a much deeper dive into what the T-1000 is going to bring the world when he lands on March 25th. Death Relives Death Relives keeps the development flowing with another look at how the AI will function in Death Relives Xipe Totec is back out there and wandering around in another look we all have for Death Relives. This is that survival horror title that Nyctophile Studios has been cooking up for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC where we are going to be hunted and haunted by the Aztec god. Things for the game have been flowing out there before now, but the bigger push has been on getting the enemy AI nailed down. Death Stranding The release date for Death Stranding 2 is now set and we can soon get our pre-orders out there for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Things felt like they were only at a trickle out there for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach and that made us and many others wonder when we were going to see the game landing on the PS5 out there. Especially with all of the other things that Kojima Productions seem to be doing for the IP that were not specifically this new game. Once Upon A Puppet New gameplay for Once Upon A Puppet is out there with the developers giving us some extra behind the scenes for Once Upon A Puppet Let us all walk into a new theatrical world out there with another look at Once Upon A Puppet. This is the upcoming puzzle-platforming game that Flatter Than Earth has been working on to bring to our PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PCs this coming April. A game that will have us playing as a hand and a puppet being controlled by said hand. That should get you caught up on what we knew from the teaser we had for Once Upon A Puppet a little while ago. Marvel Rivals A new event for Marvel Rivals is on the way and it could shake up many matches we get to experience in Marvel Rivals The fun of Marvel Rivals just keeps on flowing as we have a new event taking place later in the week to look forward to. Kicking off on March 7th and running on through the 21st, it looks like NetEase Games is dropping in a whole new mode for us to undertake as Clones are coming out. That is, the Clone Rumble is kicking off in Marvel Rivals and we will get to use so many of the same characters to do all kinds of crazy things within the game. Split Fiction There is now another way to get a friend to play Split Fiction with you just in case you have had issues finding a friend to play Split Fiction I know I have made the joke many times about how some out there might not be able to play Split Fiction due to a lack of friends. It is a game, like the others that Hazelight Studios has made, that will require there to be two players in the game. Not specifically in a way to force two people to always buy the game with EA offering up the friend's pass for it all at no extra cost on March 6th when the game lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That is nice, but it does not solve the issue that humans are terrible at communication or actually making any real connection in the modern day. Read More...

Mortal Kombat We have a look at yet another Kameo fighter for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns to shake things up further in the Mortal Kombat universe Well, this is a bit of a twist we are getting here for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns. Not that we are getting a new Kameo fighter in the mix but that NetherRealm Studios is taking the time to highlight the character before they become fully available in the game on March 18th. A character we have seen in the Mortal Kombat 1 landscape already, but not in a fighting role specifically up to now. We are talking about Madam Bo coming in and serving up some steaming plates of pain along with a grim fatality to perform in the mix out there too. Read More...

Terminator The Terminator is coming back for us all with the announcement we have here for Terminator 2D: No Fate It is really starting to look like there is no fate for Sarah Connor out there as we have another run at the IP with Terminator 2D: No Fate. A new title that has been announced by Reef Entertainment with Bitmap Bureau helming all of the development for it. All so we can relive more of the world of Terminator 2 again, but in a vastly different way than one would originally think. Mortal Kombat The next Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns character is on the way soon with another Terminator shooting up the Mortal Kombat universe Yet another time travel is coming into Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns soon with the T-1000 getting the highlight for the next DLC. Yet another of the guest fighters that NetherRealm Studios was gearing up for us for a while and the payoff finally coming on March 18th for those who have the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. All to give us yet another of the Terminators into the Mortal Kombat line while also paying homage to the film the character is from. Split Fiction The Friend’s Pass is set in stone for Split Fiction and here is a little bit on how it will get us playing to Split Fiction Since the announcement of Split Fiction, it was known that we would be playing the game with friends just as we have with all of the other titles Hazelight Studios has brought to us over the years. It is kind of how they build these experiences. That is why it is not strange to find out that they have made it so EA will be bringing us all the Friend's Pass to this game too when it launches on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this March 6th. Horror Unleashed Universal Horror Unleashed has an official opening date and gets us ready to face our fears at Universal Horror Unleashed If there has been one thing we have been excited to pop up here in Las Vegas, it has to be Universal Horror Unleashed after it was announced. This is that year-round Halloween Horror Nights experience that Universal Studios was expanding out into the desert. All so fans can have those fun haunts all the time but also more of a horror experience than just walking some mazes. This is why I am so very excited to see that Universal Horror Unleashed is officially opening up on August 14th, 2025, with tickets available as you are reading all of these words. Read More...

Metal Gear Solid Metal Gear Solid fans now have a release date to mark down for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater It feels like it has been a long time coming, but we finally have a release date for Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater and it will be in 2025. It feels like this was a secret that Konami was keeping under wraps for a while now, but on August 28th, we will finally get to see how well this game has been updated to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It is looking more and more like a shot-for-shot remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 than any kind of reimagining of the source material, but maybe I was hoping for too much from the start.
