by Jana Lass [ Monday, 31st of August 2026 - 09:00 PM ]
A long look at Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons is here, and we get to see some true gameplay for our Warlock character It looks as if someone out there made a great pact with a demon during gamescom this year, as we have a whole lot of new gameplay to look at for Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons. We still have to wait until 2027 to get to experience it on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC ourselves, but Invoke Studios has been compelled by that pact to give us just what all of us nerds have been longing for. So, get ready to tap into some dark and raw magic out there, with the action RPG style of gameplay that Warlock is going to unleash upon us all. Read More…

October Is Going To Get A Bit More Noir With The Release Of The Wolf Among Us Remastered
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of August 2026 - 07:00 PM ]
The release date for The Wolf Among Us Remastered is on the way to us with a new Noir Mode for The Wolf Among Us We all knew that The Wolf Among Us Remastered was on the way to us, but many of us thought we might have to wait until the next season of the story was going to be ready for us before we would get to see this remaster. That does not look as if it is going to be the case, as Telltale is getting the game ready for us sooner than we could have thought. At least, this is all based on what they were willing to give us out of gamescom this year. Read More…

Metro 2039 Opens Things Up With The Renegade Giving Us Glimpses Of The Stranger
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of August 2026 - 05:00 PM ]
New gameplay footage for Metro 2039 is here from gamescom, to give us all a look at the protagonist coming in Metro 2039 We have seen that we are going to be able to be The Stranger from Metro 2039 in real life with the collector's edition that is coming, and now it is time to see why that is going to be a big deal. During the opening night of gamescom, 4A Games and Deep Silver brought a new look, not only at the game, but how hardcore the new protagonist is going to be out there. Not that any of the protagonists from the previous Metro titles were not as hardcore, but this one is starting to look like they are going to take the win on that. Read More…

This Week In Video Games 8/24/26 — 8/28/26
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of August 2026 - 11:00 PM ]
A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This week has come to an end around here, and we had so many video games to look at. Partially due to the fact that gamescom was in full swing, and also due to the fact that we had so many on the verge of release already. Along with the bigger teases that Grand Theft Auto VI and Marvel’s Wolverine were going to have big showings this week before the event actually started. Although, that did leave some fun room for video games like Stage Tour and Final Fantasy VII Revelation to get some bigger announcements during the week. Read More…

Grand Theft Auto VI Takes Us All For An Extended Ride About Town
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of August 2026 - 09:00 PM ]
The gameplay for Grand Theft Auto VI is out there, and it looks like we are getting a whole lot more Grand Theft Auto Just as we all had been promised, the massive update for Grand Theft Auto VI is out there and joins the ranks of games getting talked about for gamescom. Not that anyone thought that Rockstar Games needed the event to help spread the word of this title, but it happened nonetheless. Weirdly, it was all handled by Netflix for some reason, but we will not get into that level of weirdness to explore. Instead, we will just focus on what we had to see for Grand Theft Auto VI and why some of us are going to be insanely excited to see what will be hitting the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19th. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of August 2026 - 07:00 PM ]
One last look at the gameplay features for Marvel’s Wolverine is here, and it shows off how Wolverine will be upgraded The days are starting to get numbered until Marvel’s Wolverine launches on the PS5, and it looks as if Insomniac Games was looking to use gamescom as the perfect springboard to give us what we have all been waiting for. A solid look at the gameplay flow and extra mechanics that we can expect to employ out there in the game when September 15th gets here and we are in the savage world of Wolverine. A different one than we might have expected in the narrative, but one that will offer up some fun new things for the character. Read More…

Silent Hill: Townfall Offers Up A Fun Cast Of Characters To Enjoy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of August 2026 - 05:00 PM ]
Meet the cast of characters entering Silent Hill just a bit ahead of the full release for Silent Hill: Townfall We are just a month out from Silent Hill: Townfall, and with gamescom still going on, it does feel like it is the correct time to have a look at the cast of characters we are going to have in the game. Not just in terms of the actual characters, but the voices that Screen Burn and Konami have tapped in to bring them all to life. All to give us some bigger names in the industry to help with that, even if that is not going to be the end-all, be-all for the IP. Read More…

Matchmaking Is Getting Slashed Up A Little In Halloween: The Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of August 2026 - 09:00 PM ]
Learn a bit on how Matchmaking is going to work in Halloween: The Game and see how often you can be the Boogeyman for Halloween We are under two weeks out from Halloween: The Game landing on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with a whole lot of hype starting to build for it all. Even if it is following the same structure that we have seen from IllFonic in other horror IPs, this one is getting a little more of a shakeup. Not just because we are getting a single-player mode for Halloween: The Game, but now it looks as if Gun Interactive is pushing forward with a new way to do matchmaking. A way that might make it easier to play as Michael Myers in the game, but it could easily be abused. Read More…

There Are No Ghosts At The Grand Gives Us All A Bit More Of Robert C. MacBrushy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of August 2026 - 07:00 PM ]
More of the cast for There Are No Ghosts At The Grand have been placed on display, but still No Ghosts At The Grand It always seems so sporadic when we get updates for There Are No Ghosts At The Grand, but it does seem that gamescom was the timeline for the next bit of fun to seep out there. Even if we have seen a lot of the same gameplay for a while now from Friday Sundae for the game, this one does the same, but gives us a little more to bite onto. With the Early Access coming up for the PC version of the game this December, it does make sense for that. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2026 - 09:00 PM ]
The release date for Stage Tour is now set, with so many more things coming in Stage Tour than we knew I am starting to feel a little vindicated in my assumptions when it came to Stage Tour and when we were going to be able to jam out to the game. There was always a release date lined up for Winter of 2026 from RedOctane Games for the new rhythm game to drop out there, and now they have backed that up. They did that by giving us the official release date for Stage Tour during all of the madness of gamescom that is going on right now. Along with the fact that we can expect to see the game land on the Switch 2 along with the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when December 10th flows on in. Read More…

New Terror Will Be Releasing Into The World Very Soon With Cosmic Fear
by Juliet Meyer [ Tuesday, 25th of August 2026 - 09:00 PM ]
A release date for Cosmic Fear is now set, and those looking for some new Lovecraftian horror will be able to play Cosmic Fear soon Things are going to be a little more frightening out there on the PC with the upcoming release date for Cosmic Fear. Well, as long as you can wait until September 9th for the game to be fully finished up by Alessandro Guzzo and ready to play out there. That little bit of a wait can be a little terrifying, but it's all to get a new cosmic horror and Lovecraftian title in our hands to explore. Even if that might be a trope that has run a bit of a course out there, that doesn't mean that Cosmic Fear shouldn't have its chance. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of August 2026 - 07:00 PM ]
A new look at the upcoming Resident Evil Movie is here, and we get to see how it is going to link into the bigger Resident Evil world The release for the Resident Evil movie is getting closer by the day, with September 18th almost here for us all to enjoy the new take on the IP. A new take that looks to bring us all back into the feel of the games that Capcom gave us, and not specifically a retelling of a story. That has been the goal since the start from Zach Cregger on this one. That has left some fans wondering how it will build into the rest of the Resident Evil lore out there. Read More…
