Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Well, the week has come to an end once more, and we had some fun with the various video games and films we had announced there. Some big ones like Resident Evil Requiem and Poppy Playtime had some highlights. Resident Evil The latest showcase for Resident Evil Requiem is out there, and it shows how past Resident Evil titles are driving the gameplay Just as we have all been promised, we have a new showcase out for Resident Evil Requiem. Partially to get us hyped up to pre-order the game before Capcom drops it on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC, and partially to make sure we all know what titles from the past we should be familiar with before playing. Not just for the story, but as it seems that Grace will have some basis in certain Resident Evil titles when it comes to tone and gameplay, while Leon will have a vastly different one based on some of the other games. Styx Take Styx for a quick run before you offer up your coin to pre-order Styx: Blades Of Greed With Styx: Blades Of Greed hitting the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 19th, time is getting close to pre-order this bad boy. Not that there is much of a reason to pre-order digital games in the modern age, but it will help out Cyanide Studios to keep the lights on a bit longer as we wait for the game to launch. I know, a month is a long time for many gamers who have been waiting to join Styx on one more adventure in the world. Not only did we get a lot to check out during the convention, but we also managed to get solid updates out to you all week. Resident Evil Resident Evil is coming to life with the new Path Tracing & DLSS 4 features that Resident Evil Requiem will house It feels like it would not be CES without Capcom showing off something new out there with their games, and it looks like Resident Evil Requiem is taking the stage here. That might sound weird to many, but they do like offering their games to showcase either new PC hardware or showcase a new console feature. Styx See more of Styx in action, with some new gameplay that we have to share for Styx: Blades Of Greed to hype us all up It looks like we have more gameplay sneaking out for Styx: Blades Of Greed just ahead of the February 19th release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not just more, but a good chunk of a mission out there with Cyanide Studios offering up looks at the same gameplay that we have been sold on for a while, but also some of the newer things we will be able to do in this stealth game. Along with a bit of a look at how the visuals and other game aspects have been improved upon since the first Styx game dropped out there so long ago. Styx Styx has gone missing in 2025, but we have a new release date for Styx: Blades Of Greed in 2026 Those paying close attention to Styx: Blades Of Greed might have thought that the game was set to stealth release in the next few days. Given that Nacon and Cyanide Studios had it slated for a 2025 release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stupid Never Dies A new bizarre game, Stupid Never Dies, has been announced and Stupid Never Dies looks to offer up something new for us all It was stated during The Game Awards that GPTRACK50 was setting out to give us all a world and game that we have never seen before, and here we are with Stupid Never Dies. While the title is a bit on point with how many feel about the world, try not to take it at face value, as I am sure you will be wrong. Tomb Raider The next full Tomb Raider is finally announced, with Tomb Raider: Catalyst taking Lara into a bold new direction There was certainly one title that The Game Awards kept teasing us all with, and it turns out it was Tomb Raider: Catalyst. A new addition to the IP with Crystal Dynamics back at it to see if they can bring the goods as we have seen them do in the past. At least in terms of this IP. Liminal Point A new bit of gameplay for Liminal Point is out there, and this one further highlights Mira as we go searching for her in Liminal Point It's time to enter more of the darkness out there, with something new to look at for Liminal Point. We've seen some of the gameplay and horrors that HideWorks will be placing in the game when it launches on PC down the line, so now it is time to dig a bit further into the story. Along with some new gameplay and monsters that Liminal Point will have for us.
