The Guardians are ready to glam rock it up, with the Switch 2 launch of Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy
It has been a journey, but we are finally going to see Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy land on the Switch 2. In fact, we are going to see it there as of today, as Eidos-Montréal has finally got the game to a point where it can make the hop over to the newer system and has launched out there. This does sound a bit odd for a game that is so old by this point, but Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy was an underrated gem of a title when it first launched, and so many more gamers should give it a try if they can. Especially since this version of the game is coming with a bit more to it, and I am not talking in terms of just the costumes that you will get to add to this version of the game.
Not only does Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy work on the Switch 2 now, but it brings in a few new updates and changes that we can all experience in the mix of things with this platform specifically. There are five new costumes for each of the Guardians to wear in the game that are 1980s glam rock inspired, for starters. Then we have a few new visual settings designed just for the Switch 2, depending on whether you are playing it on the go or in the dock. You can also take advantage of the mouse capabilities if you so want to, and finally, there is a new gyroscope motion control for various things in the game. Specifically, the zero-gravity portions of the game, but I am sure that there are other great uses of it once we start diving further into this gem of a game. Buckle those seat belts and get ready for an epic journey across the cosmos. Eidos-Montréal is thrilled to announce that Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy: Encore Edition is out now on Nintendo Switch 2.
Developed by Eidos-Montréal in collaboration with Marvel Games, published by Eidos-Montréal, and distributed by PLAION Partners, the Encore Edition is the optimized version of the award-winning game for Nintendo Switch 2 and includes new content exclusive to this edition:
- Five New Exclusive Outfits — brand-new looks for each of the five Guardians inspired by 1980s glam rock, available only in the Encore Edition.
- Graphics Settings & Target Performance — In TV mode, there are two settings: Quality, targeting 30 fps at 1440p, and Performance (120Hz TVs only), targeting 40 fps at 1080p. In Handheld mode, the game targets 30 fps for a smooth experience on the go.
- Mouse Control Support — full mouse functionality using Nintendo Switch 2’s built-in mouse, for menus and aiming.
- Gyroscope Motion Support — Tilt your controller to guide the Milano through space or to move Peter around when sliding or during zero-gravity gameplay sequences.
