Las Vegas Casino Party Announced Just incase Mario Party was not good enough for the family, or the family wants to get their kids hooked on gambling, buffets, and hookers early, a new party game for the Wii has been announced today. One that strikes home with me oh so well. Pun intended. Las Vegas Casino Party is that game. From the description of the game, it sounds just like the above mentioned Mario Party titles. You get ten stereotypes of Las Vegas gamblers to move around a game board, for some reason, to move from casinos to casino playing the classic games of old Vegas. Read More...

Possible Beta Schedule For Final Fantasy XIV Let me say this here: This is speculation based on career board finding and nothing official. The same goes for any site that isn't as courteous as Aggrogamer to state this. Now that is out of the way. One of the big shockers at E3 this year was the announcement of Final Fantasy XIV Online. "But wait I thought Left 4 Dead was an XBox/PC exclusive and Valve is not a huge fan of the PS3?" You are correct on that view. At E3 when Valve announced that there will be a sequel for this zombie-fest of a game a lot of people were a bit surprised that Valve is releasing the sequel so quickly. But is the game also going to be appearing for the PS3? According to EA official website, not only did they list the game for the PS3 as a “Coming Soon”, but also a cover art for the PS3 version of the game. Read More...

Two New Wolfenstein Trailers Hospitals for some are just creepy places to be. People laying in "death beds," sharp medical instruments everywhere, creepy doctors or patients wandering about, and the ever draining of ones life force, money. So it makes sense that when you want to place a creepy scene or level in a game, you would choose an environment like this to give that real creep factor to the players. Raven Software, not wanting to skip on this for Wolfenstein, have placed another version of the Hospital level in a game. This time with Nazis and demonic powered soldiers. Read More...

Max Payne, who is now bald and sporting a pretty fierce beard, is back and in full force and gracing the cover of Game Informer. Not only that, the guy is addicted to pain killers. Who didn't see that one coming? Max Payne 3 takes place in Sao Paolo, Brazil, with "fully destructible environments". Which means more stuff to shoot at and blow up. There are the Madden purists out there, there always will be. I cannot consider myself one of them because for all of the "innovations" EA throw into the Madden games - it will always be the same experience for me. Since EA secured the NFL license, there's been false start after false start for competitors to the gridiron throne. I give all the credit in the world to Blitz: The League and the 2k series for creating some compelling gameplay, but because of either: dated gameplay and graphics, or leaning too much on novelty gameplay, they were never able to achieve the same numbers of units sold. World at War’s Map Pack 2 is Released

Activision has unleashed Map Pack 2 for download on both the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace. The pack features 4 new maps entitled Banzai, Corrosion, Sub Pens, and Shi No Numa. Banzai takes place in a jungle deep in Japanese territory. Corrosion makes use of a rundown Russian train yard as a battleground. A bombed out Japanese submarine base is the site for Sub Pens. Shi No Numa which is Japanese for ‘Zombie Swamp’ adds a third map to face down the unstoppable zombie hordes. Read More...

E3 Impressions: Final Fantasy IV: The After Years

As much as one can be in awe of the Final Fantasy XIII and XIV trailers on the giant screen at Square Enix’s booth at E3, I kept walking around to find something else. The classic jRPG fan in me jumped for joy at the sight of Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. Already out on Wii Ware, picking up and playing Final Fantasy IV: The After Years was like running into a warm hug of an old friend.This sequel, 18 years in the making, tells the story of you, the son of the paladin Cecil and the white mage Rosa, years after the end of Final Fantasy IV. The great evil of the second moon destroyed by Cecil and Rosa’s party in the original has returned and it is now up to you to stop this evil and return peace to the once quiet planet. Read More...
