by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of August 2026 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week We made it through another fun week, and had so many more video games release and get some big updates. Even if titles like Grand Theft Auto VI and God Of War Laufey had very little to add to the title for now, it was still a massive week for us all. Not to mention that we had a little more wrap-up from SDCC 2026, and one more of the mazes that we can expect to try to game our way through for Halloween Horror Nights. Sure, some of those are not video games, but they are interactive experiences. Read More...

God Of War Laufey Has A Bit More To Learn Out Of SDCC 2026
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of August 2026 - 07:00 PM ]
God Of War We have the full God Of War Laufey panel out of SDCC this year, and we get the release date for God Of War Laufey out of it all It was reported early on that we were going to have a bit of a panel out there at SDCC for God Of War Laufey. One that was supposed to give us a bunch to look forward to for the game, and to help Santa Monica Studio help to get us all onboard again with the PS5 and what PlayStation has been doing. Well, they all took the stage, and it was a packed house out there at SDCC 2026, and there were a lot who did not get to experience it. Thankfully, they chose to record the full panel out there to let all fans see what is on the way for God Of War Laufey. Read More...

Head Back Into The Lodge Again At SDCC 2026 With Paramount+
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of July 2026 - 07:00 PM ]
The Lodge Paramount+ is bringing The Lodge back to SDCC in 2026, and here is a look at all the fun The Lodge will open up for us It has become the tradition out there each year of SDCC now that Paramount+’s The Lodge comes back and gives us so many more experiences to have. This is the update that we are getting, just that, even if it looks as if most fans will be standing in the standby line to get in. Unless more reservations for The Lodge experience are dropped out there before July 22nd when the whole thing opens up to experience. We will hope that is the case, as it does look as if Paramount+ will be celebrating so many big things this year, with Star Trek, South Park, and Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender amongst the fun that will be seen behind these closed doors. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of July 2026 - 05:00 PM ]
PlayStation A trio of PlayStation titles will be on display, with two of the upcoming PlayStation titles having a few extras to go around Even though there are many still out there who are not happy with PlayStation at the moment, we feel the same around here. It looks as if they will be out at SDCC this year to push some of the titles that should still have a physical release tied to them. Well, maybe not God Of War Laufey, depending on when that will hit the PS5. This is a topic for another day. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/2/26 — 6/5/26
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of June 2026 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Even as I am writing this little update, the week is still going strong, and so many video games are getting announced and revealed out there. Partially, as the Summer Game Fest continues on, along with the IGN Live event that will go down over the weekend. We cannot allow that to take away from the big things we saw this week with God Of War Laufey, Marvel’s Wolverine, and Until Dawn 2 getting a showcase during the week, but that does mean that the week is not fully over. Just what we can handle with the load around here for all of the video games. Read More...

God Of War Laufey Continues The Saga With Gameplay Into The Everywhen
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of June 2026 - 05:00 PM ]
God Of War The next part of the God Of War saga has been revealed, with loads of new gameplay for God Of War Laufey It feels like we all knew it was coming, but it still hit so hard with the announcement, reveal, and gameplay we now have for God Of War Laufey. The next title in the saga that Santa Monica Studio is working on, and as the title tells us, it will be a story all about Faye. Not a backstory, specifically, but what happened to her after the scene that we had in the 2018 title. It has been eight years, but I am still not going to spoil it for those who have not had a chance to experience all that God Of War has up to now. Read More...

Gothic 1 Remake Shows Off The New Combat That We Will Have In Our Hands
by Jana Lass [ Friday, 29th of May 2026 - 05:00 PM ]
Gothic A new behind-the-scenes look at the Gothic 1 Remake is here to see how the combat systems have been updated from the original Gothic Things have been very lax around here when it comes to the Gothic 1 Remake, and a few things have evaded our advances. Not from the lack of excitement for what Alkimia Interactive is putting together for us, or getting lost in the sea of titles that THQ Nordic is pumping out there. There's been a lot, and on June 5th, we're going to see one more, and we should all be up to speed on it. Specifically, we should be all caught up on the combat system that the Gothic 1 Remake is going to bring to us, as it is not going to be just the same one we remember from before. Read More...

Review — Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of May 2026 - 09:00 PM ]
Fan Fest Nights We were brought out to Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026. Here is our experience of everything Fan Fest Nights offered up It looks like it is going to truly be an annual thing, with Universal Fan Fest Nights coming and going for 2026. This would be the latest limited-time event that Universal Studios has been putting on that falls in line with its Horror Night in style, but brings us more of the family or general fun for those who do not like to get scared. IPs like Scooby Doo, Dungeons & Dragons, and One Piece, among the many that were out there this year. We had a chance to head out to experience it once again, and here is our review and thoughts on how Universal Fan Fest Nights is holding up. Read More...

Gothic 1 Remake Is Ready For Us All To Throw Down For
by Jana Lass [ Tuesday, 7th of April 2026 - 07:00 PM ]
Gothic Those looking to secure their copy of Gothic 1 Remake can do so now, with the pre-orders opened for Gothic In a world where things are mostly digital and there are fewer limited quantities out there, it is always weird to have an announcement to come through as we do for the pre-orders for the Gothic 1 Remake. You can do that as of right now to make sure you are going to have what Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic will drop on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this June 5th. Just in case you were worried that you wouldn't be able to secure that copy of Gothic. Read More...

The Release Date Is Set To Send You Into The Prison Of The Gothic 1 Remake
by Jana Lass [ Thursday, 12th of February 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
Gothic The Gothic 1 remake now has a release date for us all to be locked back into the prison world built in Gothic It's been close to a year since we had anything solid to report on the Gothic 1 Remake around these parts, which is why it is always good to get something big for a game like this. It is something that captured so many years ago, and now that Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic have been working on bringing it all back for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, they do have a bit to live up to. It looks as if they've taken their time, that's for sure, but that time is coming to an end. Read More...

The Far Cry Classics Are Getting More Frames Updated Into Them
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of January 2026 - 06:00 PM ]
Far Cry Three of the Far Cry Classic titles have a new update that will bring more of the Far Cry family into the 60 fps world It feels like it has been some time since we had a solid full entry into the Far Cry IP, and that wait seems to be growing without another new main title on the way as of yet. Given the cycle of things over at Ubisoft, that feels a little off, but it is what it is. Especially since it feels like they have been diving more into the nostalgia of the past with a few of their games after some of the other recent things that have gone down. Read More...

Quite A Ride Has A New Update To Pump Our Brakes Over
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of December 2025 - 08:00 PM ]
Quite A Ride A new look at Quite A Ride is out there, along with an announcement that Quite A Ride has a new publisher bringing it to market Start pedaling a bit faster out there, as the horrors of Quite A Ride are getting closer to getting us. At least when the game is ready to ride on out there on the PC. Something that I know Goodwin Games is working hard on, so we have this weird biking experience where we are locked into a biking mode of transportation. I say all of this, as it looks as if they were able to also land Silver Lining Interactive to help get Quite A Ride over the finish line out there. Read More...
