A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week

Even as I am writing this little update, the week is still going strong, and so many video games are getting announced and revealed out there. Partially, as the Summer Game Fest continues on, along with the IGN Live event that will go down over the weekend. We cannot allow that to take away from the big things we saw this week with God Of War Laufey, Marvel’s Wolverine, and Until Dawn 2 getting a showcase during the week, but that does mean that the week is not fully over. Just what we can handle with the load around here for all of the video games. This is why we all miss bigger events like E3 or when SDCC held more of the in-person fun instead of sitting around just watching all the marketing hype pushed out there. That is a topic for a different time, though.

All of that is also to say that next week is going to be a big one out there for us with all of the video games getting announced and shown off in the coming days. It has been rough keeping up live with it all even now, but we are going to do our best to take in all of the information and videos to give you a stripped-down idea of where your hype should be for all of these video games. Some feel as if they are deserved, and others, well, feel like there is more sizzle to the reels than there should be. So, expect us to go through all of that and offer you what we can next week. If anything, we will have all of the videos live on our channels so you can see them all in action before we talk about what could be obfuscated behind the flashy images and soundtracks.
