Resident Evil The Resident Evil remakes keep coming, with the official announcement that we now have for Resident Evil Veronica The fans have been crying out for it, and after a solid run at remakes that Capcom has been giving us all, we are finally getting Resident Evil Veronica. This would be a remake of the Code Veronica title from so long ago for those who are not fully up on their gaming lore, even if the title should have given that away a little bit. That all said, it was revealed to us and the world that Resident Evil Veronica will be giving this little title a new bit of life with a release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC in 2027. That is a bit of a turnaround for it all, given that we just had the recent mainline title release this year, but they do have quite a few working on the IP over there, so I can see how that can all flow out there. Final Fantasy The conclusion to the Final Fantasy VII Remake saga is almost here, with the official reveal and gameplay for Final Fantasy VII Revelation The teasing is finally over, and we now have the announcement for Final Fantasy VII Revelation. The third and final part of the remake run that Square Enix has been taking their time with. The one that will bring us so many things we've been waiting for in terms of characters, world building, and the story. Halloween The single player mode for Halloween is on display to give us a feel for how that will play out when Halloween starts We have had the multiplayer look at Halloween, and now we have a solid update on how the single-player part of the game will flow out there. The bigger selling point for so many when IllFonic and Gun Interactive said that the game would have a true single-player mode on top of the asymmetric multiplayer modes that can get rather repetitive quickly. This is something that a few other titles have tried before, and with September 8th not as far off as many might think, this could be the biggest selling point for Halloween when it is ready for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Even as I am writing this little update, the week is still going strong, and so many video games are getting announced and revealed out there. Partially, as the Summer Game Fest continues on, along with the IGN Live event that will go down over the weekend. Modern Warfare The reveal of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is here, and we have a new location this Modern Warfare will take us It is that time of year, again, and here we go with the announcement for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The next of the main game reveals for the IP with Infinity Ward behind the wheel of it all. One of the better versions of the IP, in my opinion, and it looks as if they are striving to keep that a constant out there. Bloodlines 2 The next DLC for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is on the way, and we will have just a bit more to experience in Bloodlines 2 The night seems to be coming to an end with what was promised for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, as the next announced DLC is about to land. That would be The Flower & The Flame DLC that The Chinese Room announced way back when they took over the project. Fighting Souls More of the Fighting Souls are coming into the mix, with the Knights Of Doom coming for the release date of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls We've had a chance to test out Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, and we are getting so much closer to the final release of the game. A date that we know now Arc System Works is gearing up for August 6th for the PS5 and PC. Just after that sweet spot of showing the game off at SDCC this year, while giving them plenty of time to make sure we know all of the fighters and teams that will be in the mix. Wolverine A new and extended bit of gameplay for Marvel’s Wolverine is here, and it is giving us the Wolverine we have all wanted We knew it was coming, and gods did Insomniac Games deliver on the promise to show us all more for Marvel’s Wolverine. Given that the game is still slated for release on September 15th for the PS5, it makes sense that they would push it all at this point and give us seven minutes of fun gameplay to look at. It is not raw gameplay, but it is something for us to stick our claws into and see how Wolverine is coming to life in this game. Stray The Switch 2 launch for Stray is finally out there, and now everyone will have a chance to experience what Stray offers All you gamers who love cats, which is likely a high percentage, can now lie out a bit more in the sun with the game Stray. More so, the Switch 2 gamers out there who want to take the game that BlueTwelve Studio and Annapurna Interactive brought to us so long ago, as the game has officially launched on the platform. Backrooms Another adventure into the Backrooms is here, as we have the console launch of Escape The Backrooms kicking off today Just in time for the upcoming film release in the IP, we have the console release for Escape The Backrooms hitting us all. As in, the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S gamers can no-clip into the liminal space out there to see what the PC gamers have had for a while now. Not to mention, another solid push for those who played the game so long ago to give it a go and see the new stuff that Fancy Games and Secret Mode might have slipped in there. Agni New horrors are coming with Agni: Village Of Calamity, as we get to see how Agni will face down the darkness in the world The Indonesian horror scene is getting another fun display out there in the world, with the announcement for Agni: Village Of Calamity. A new title on the way to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC that Separuh Interactive is working on, with the help of Wired Productions. A title that will give us some new type of slasher to experience out there, along with fun survival-horror gameplay to go along with it. Hands Over A new co-op horror title, Hands Over, is on the way to us all, and Hands Over will test some of those true friendships out there The dark party game trend is coming, as we have Hands Over revealed to us, and it looks as if it is following another trend we have seen in the co-op horror genres as of late. This is the latest title that ArtDock is putting together for us on the PC, and it will have 5 of us sitting around a virtual table, playing random games that seem harmless at first, but always come to a very dark and brutal end for the losers. Dead By Daylight Jason will be making his run at the Dead By Daylight survivors soon, as Dead By Daylight finally gets to use the hockey mask It has been a long time coming, but Dead By Daylight is finally going to be getting Jason in the mix out there as a Killer. As long as you can wait until just past June 13th for Tuesday the 16th to hit us all. That doesn't have the same ring to it, but that is when Behaviour will have this iconic Killer in the mix of things on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.
