This Week In Video Games 8/5/24 — 8/9/24
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of August 2024 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Well, this was a much bigger week for video games than we could have expected, but a solid one still. After SDCC and now the upcoming Gamescom, I was under the impression it was going to be a slower one, between Call Of Duty and Epic Mickey, we had a whole lot drop on us and with massive names in the mix. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead and Gori: Cuddly Carnage also got a nice highlight out there and then there is the Five Nights At Freddy’s celebration going on add into so much out there. Not to mention new video games coming from Tarsier Studios in the mix of things too. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of August 2024 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies is bringing us more of the round-based combat to tackle the undead problem in Call Of Duty We had a teaser for it, and now we have some actual gameplay along with new details coming for the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies mode this year. A fun little bit if you have been looking forward to how Treyarch is going to press things forward with not only the gameplay but the story when it launches on October 25th for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. As it turns out, it looks like there will be some great modes and aspects still in the mix with round-based zombies here again for Call Of Duty. A solid thing for those who have been involved with this aspect of the game for a long while now. Read More...

Five Nights At Freddy’s: Secret Of The Mimic Is Bringing Us Some New Nightmares
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of August 2024 - 09:00 PM ]
Five Nights At Freddy’s A new Five Nights At Freddy’s games is on the way with Five Nights At Freddy’s: Secret Of The Mimic getting announced As if the IP did not already have a whole slew of things out there or announced already, here we go with a teaser for Five Nights At Freddy’s: Secret Of The Mimic. Yes, it looks like Steel Wool Studios is not only leaning into the ten-year anniversary for the IP but also stepping on the release of another big game that is coming out later this week on August 8th. Maybe not stepping on, as the fans of Five Nights At Freddy’s will devour everything, but it feels odd to have a big title release along with a teaser for a new title that we will not see until 2025. Scholar’s Mate Is Getting A Bit More Physical For This Escape Room
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of August 2024 - 05:00 PM ]
Scholar’s Mate A physical edition of Scholar’s Mate is on the way to the PS5 for those who want to get deeper into Scholar’s Mate Many have had the chance to dig into what Scholar’s Mate had to offer up in its digital form, but I know that is not enough for many gamers out there. There is still a good number that still wants to have a physical disc in hand along with a case to display in their collection. For those gamers, it looks like JanduSoft heard those cries and are making sure you are taken care of. At least on the PS5 version of the game with the new physical edition of Scholar’s Mate. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of June 2024 - 09:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed Wander about the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and see how this Assassin’s Creed will bring us back to Feudal Japan Even though we had a whole lot to look at for Assassin’s Creed Shadows last week, we are back with just a bit more. No, it is not about all the bullshit complaints fans have with Ubisoft about the characters or any of that dumb drama that is being made up. It is a good look at the lands that we are going to get to explore in this new Assassin’s Creed that fans originally were begging for. Maybe that will quiet down by November 15th when the game lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Read More...

Star Wars A whole lot of new gameplay for Star Wars Outlaws is here along with a lot of Star Wars lore for you all to dig right through too If you wanted something new for Star Wars Outlaws, well, you now have a whole lot of that to take in. During the recent Ubisoft Forward, as promised, Massive Entertainment went all out and gave us teases, an overview, a lot of gameplay, then a whole lot of the same gameplay explaining all of the hidden Easter Eggs and lore that we can expect when the game launches on August 30th for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Just on a few watchings of it all, all of the Star Wars nerds out there are going to have a lot to look at and explore. Not to mention a whole lot of the same locations we have seen many times over, but they are iconic for a reason, and with it being an open-world game, some of those worlds do lend well to all of that.
