XMB +GT 4 PS3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of June 2008 - 10:40 PM ]
Scheduled PLAYSTATION®Network Maintenance Disclaimer: This is speculation from myself and a few others. Consider it a rumor. I hate Spam. Now that that has been said. On the Official Playstation Support page, there was an announcement of the PSN (PlayStation Network) being shut down for maintenance. Not to out of the ordinary, except for the fact that some of the updates people have been waiting and pining for is suppose to be out soon. It is of my opinion that this could be a few server updates to coincide with the new in game XMB (Cross Media Bar). Read More...

Strategic Dismemberment... Nuff Said
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of June 2008 - 06:20 PM ]
New Dead Space Trailer Advises Strategic Dismemberment So let me guess. You saw that title and thought "WTF? I gotta check this out." I know that's what I did when I first saw this. It is also why I clicked onto the video. (See below.) It is about what I was expecting as well. Well maybe not exactly, but I was not let down with what I got from clicking the link and watching the video. So what is this? It is a show of the game Dead Space, a little bit. Read More...

Ikkitousen EF Limited Edition Figure Revealed!
by Michael Camacho [ Friday, 20th of June 2008 - 08:12 PM ]
Thanks to a Kotaku story, I found out Marvelous has finally announced and revealed the actual figure to be included in the Ikkitousen EF Limited Edition set for the Sony PSP.  As noted prior, it features the mother-daughter team of Hakafu and Goei.  The figure set is actually a pun referring to "Oyako donburi", which means "parent and child donburi" which is a dish made of Rice, Egg and Chicken.  But as interesting as that is, we all know everyone is more interested in the figure itself.  So here is some images of said figure:       Now we know the OBVIOUS joke of "2 Girls 1 cup" here, but it has already been used a few times over on other sites, so we will leave it be. Or you have no clue who the hell they are talking about when going into the long and gorgeous cut scenes. Well Sony and Konami are going to hook up the cut for you. How? Read More...

Today, Valve released a whole bunch of updates for Team Fortress 2. Of the updates come 2 (not so new) maps. Valve has been keeping a close eye on it's servers and it seems that it picked it's 2 favorite user-created maps and stuffed them into today's TF2 Update. CP_Fastlane and CTF_Turbine are now available to you - so you can join these servers without having to wait to download them.On another note, Valve's second installment of the TF2 Achievement updates has also been released today. Never Cease To Amaze Me
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of June 2008 - 05:35 PM ]
Wii Balance Board Controls WoW I figured it was only a matter of time before it happened, so here it is. The Balance Board has been "hacked" to be used to control World of Warcraft movement. Yes, you read that right. Below is the video that shows it in the works. It starts out with a bit of Google Earth footage, but then they show a gnome running around the game. The movement and camera seem to be all controlled pretty well too. Now what does this mean? Read More...

Geek Culture and Flexible Morality
by [ Tuesday, 17th of June 2008 - 09:18 PM ]
Morality is a tricky subject, as it is something that is subjective depending on background and culture.   People of faith will argue there is only one moral code, and you either follow it or you don't.  Down to earth, I've noticed there are 3 rules about morality and people that are pretty fail-proof:   1. People will never hesitate to express to you what they feel is morally right and wrong 2. Said people will apply their form of morality to you and judge you upon it 3. Read More...

Ikkitousen: Elequent Fist Flashes Us With A Trailer and New Screenshots
by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 12th of June 2008 - 08:06 PM ]
As the title states, Marvelous has released new screenshots and a nice trailer to go along with them of the upcoming PSP game Ikkitousen: EF. EF stands for Eloquent Fist, which is actually a clever twist on words on Ero-quent.  Ero = erotic or in the Japanese video game scene, Eroge.  And Ero-Quent is a very accurate statement in describing this game.  The trailer entitled "Blast Milk Promotional Video", should clue you in to this trailer definitely being NSFW.  And NSFW it is, as in tune with the show is an abundance of bouncing breasts, panty shots and torn up clothes. HACK Ads Invade CAL'S Website
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Tuesday, 10th of June 2008 - 09:48 PM ]
For anyone familiar with most any website, Google Ads is probably a common distraction. The Cyberathlete Amateur League aka CAL, proved today more than ever that it's no exception to the mayhem brought upon by Google's "selection" for the ads generated. Today these lovely ads gracefully advertised "Hacks" on their CS Intermediate division's page in a display of irony that can only be responded by with plenty of laughs. "GET THE BEST WORKING CS HACKS" ...while you check your messages, division news and download the Anti-Cheat System? Read More...

The Matrix Is Coming
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of June 2008 - 06:16 PM ]
Paralyzed Man Takes A Walk In Virtual World Ok, so I love reading about these kinds of things that make science fiction into science fact over time. I know I've had other stories about similar things, but I found yet another one that I thought god to share with you. So this guy in Japan that has been hit with a horrible lot and has been paralyzed got hooked up, pun intended, with a device that reads his brainwaves and allows for him to manipulate data in a computer. Mainly just the data streams that are used for input and such, but still data. He merely thought about walking and was able to make an avatar in Second Life walk around the virtual world.
