So day 2 has come and gone for E3 and it was a day ranging from dull to exciting. We saw what Nintendo had to offer, as well as Sony, and finally got to hit the showroom floor to start looking at all the titles. First we all had the chance to attend the Nintendo press conference and they showed off mostly what we've come to expect, which is plenty of casual games aimed towards a broader audience. Remember that rumor that started about a month or so ago that nobody thought was true at all? Well everything (including the Gran Turismo Mobile bit) just got confirmed in one of the most unlikeliest of ways. June's episode of QORE got leaked to the internet much to the dismay of the coordinator of the Sony E3 press briefing, which confirmed the existence of the PSP Go. Boasting a 16gb hard drive, bluetooth, memory card expansion slot, and shedding the UMD slot, the PSP Go looks to be more of a competitor of the iPhone/iPod Touch rather than the DS or it's big brother, of whom it will share the spotlight (Sony will continue to make the 3000). To say that I am excited about Eidos' new game Mini Ninjas is an understatement. I think I'm going to get some smoke bombs and adorn my office in samurai swords and kendo armor. One of the games that Eidos' will be debuting as a playable version at E3 is this little gem. Mini Ninjas is the story of a tiny ninja, named Hiro, and his big adventure against an evil warlord, and his quest to save the animals that have been changed into evil samurai, bringing harmony back to the world. From the screen shots it looks like you will be able to navigate through three different characters as well as take control of different animals. It’s taken years for mixed martial arts as a sport to grow into the worldwide phenomenon that it is today and much of the success is thanks to the efforts of the Ultimate Fighting Championship which has become the largest fighting league in the world. But if there’s one thing that’s been missing is an MMA video game that captures the spirit and the essence of the sport without having to step into the cage and get your face smashed in. Oh Bethesda studios you foul temptress. Such little information you give us about your new title has everyone salivating for more! Brink is the new title by Bethesda studios and Splash Damage. These two companies joined forces in May of last year, saying they both "share a passion for creating great games" and they're totally "confident that this partnership will result in even greater experiences for gamers." (Joystiq) Well it looks like the fruit of their labor is coming into view just a few days before the big E3 bash begins. Druids, are you tired of looking the same as all the other Druids? Would you want to change colors in your bear and cat form? Do you want to dance in bear form in style? Well now you can, as Blizzard has announced new looks for the Druids! In the next major patch for World of Warcraft, druids will be able to find color schemes for the bear and cat forms. Blizzard made the following announcement on their Under Development page: “There will be five different designs for each of these forms for the Horde and Alliance. Night elves can choose to change their cat and bear look at any time by visiting the barber shop and changing their character's hair color, while tauren will be able to change which look they use by switching skin tones in the barber shop -- a new feature for tauren in the next major content patch. In 2006 Marvel and Activision teamed up to create Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. Built on the X-men Legends engine, Ultimate Alliance featured the largest collection of comic book characters ever seen in a video game. Combining the standard roster with downloadable content, Ultimate Alliance featured nearly 40 playable characters. The game was a success and this coming fall we'll get to see the sequel Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion. Looks like Nintendo just announced a very cool little goodie for the Nintendo Wii. As of August 24th you will be able to buy Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Nintendo Wii, all utilizing the Wii Remotes control system displayed in Metroid Prime 3. When you look back at the 1990’s and you see the more popular fighting games to come out of that decade, your mind will invariably jump to Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter above anything else. From those two series came so many clones that really didn’t offer anything new to the genre. It’s ironic though that most of these clones are probably better known than anything from the Samurai Shodown series which is a shame since Samurai Shodown did so much to add to the fighting genre back in the day. Thankfully SNK Playmore have put together a collection of Samurai Shodown games that is a must have for anyone who is a fan of the series. 4MM games is a new gaming company founded by the original co-founders of Rockstar Games Jamie King and Gary Foreman.  Best known for their creation of Grand Theft Auto, Midnight club racing, Bully and Max Payne. “I was hugely honored to be approached by talent of Jamie and Gary’s caliber to co-found 4mm Games,” said Nicholas Perrett, Chief Executive Officer of 4mm Games. Looks like this time around 4MM games will be concentrating on the "online" aspect of video games.  4MM games is looking to create new properties for mobile platforms like the iPhone before expanding to consoles.
