BREAKING A RECORD
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Saturday, 7th of June 2008 - 04:26 AM ]
What person hasn't thought about breaking a world record at least once in their lifetime? I remember as a kid - the Guinness books were the ones most often checked out at our schools library, so when the chance arose to finally be in the book itself, I was more excited than a fat kid in a cake factory (no offense to any of you fat kids ;p ). This year's convention though seemly the same, had one major difference - Guinness Book of World Records was there to witness our world-record breaking skills at work! Read More...

Capcom's Gamer Day Alright, so, I wasn't able to make it to this years Capcom convention. A little upset since it took place in my home city. It was an extremely closed group of the press and 5 lucky Capcom fans that got to go in and check everything out that Capcom has coming up. I'm a little let down I didn't go, but I have the stories to share with ya. The guys at one of the best Game sites, Kotaku.com, has all the stuff we want. Read More...

by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 27th of May 2008 - 06:34 PM ]
This Fall, October 2nd 2008 to be exact, anime and manga fans of Ikki Tousen (Battle Vixens in the U.S.) can beat-'em-up on the go.  Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist, or EF, for short will make it's debut on the Sony PSP as a side scrolling 2D Action/Beat-'Em-Up game.  The anime best known as fan service due to it's featuring of girls battling out in dresses and short skirts, as well as featuring many ecchi moments such as clothing being literally ripped to shreds and gratuitous panty shots. The game will feature animation sequences reproduced from the CD and look very well done on the PSP's small screen.  And yes, just like in the anime and manga series, the game features a Costume Destruction System, so as more damage is taken, the less clothes the character will have. by Michael Camacho [ Friday, 23rd of May 2008 - 02:41 PM ]
This may come as a surprise to those within the U.S. and Europe, as everyone knows how Nintendo holds the number one spot in system sales lately.  But does Nintendo hold that spot within it's home country of Japan.  Surprising to many outside of Japan, Sony's PSP is consistently holding that ranking according to the Media Create Software Chart.  How is it sustaining such a lead in sales you may ask.  Well the answer is simple for Japanese gamers, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, and since it's release, has helped the PSP reach and maintain the #1 Spot. Jack Thompson's Florida Bar trial late last year has recommended that the controversial attorney be found guilty on 27 of 31 professional misconduct charges.
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Thursday, 22nd of May 2008 - 06:04 PM ]
"A celebrity is a person who works hard all his life to become well known, then wears dark glasses to avoid being recognized."  This is how JT treated him self when you watch him on any interview he would do about gaming.  With all his tricks and lies it was bound to catch up with him.  I assume there will just be another nut job who replaces his bag of tricks.   The judge who presided over Jack Thompson's Florida Bar trial late last year has recommended that the controversial attorney be found guilty on 27 of 31 professional misconduct charges. Among the Florida Bar offenses for which Judge Tunis has recommended a guilty verdict:Knowingly making a false statement of material fact or law to a tribunalKnowingly disobeying an obligation under the rules of a tribunalCommunicating the merits of the case with a judge before whom the proceeding is pendingUsing means that have no purpose other than to embarrass, delay or burden a third personEngaging in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentationEngaging in conduct in connection with the practice of law that is prejudicial to the administration of justice, including to knowingly or through callous indifference disparage or humiliate litigants or other lawyersMaking statements that the lawyer knows to be false or with reckless disregard as to the truth or falsity concerning the qualifications or integrity of a judge     Thanks to GamePolitics. by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Thursday, 22nd of May 2008 - 05:57 PM ]
Variety has news that Castlevania & Pac-Man are set in stone to be made as "movies" for you and me to see while sucking down a drink and popcorn.  Will the movies suck is a big question many will have.  "Castlevania," a co-production with Universal's Rogue Pictures. Project, based on the Konami vidgame, is written by Paul Anderson ("Resident Evil") and directed by Sylvain White ("Stomp the Yard").  Other titles in the Grosvenor Park-funded slate include an adaptation of Richard Branson's memoir "Losing My Virginity," a bigscreen adaptation of vidgame "Pac-Man" and a sequel to John Woo's actioner "Hard Boiled"; company also controls the rights to Brad Thor's bestselling novels.
