Today it was announced that 38 Studios acquired Big Huge Games.  38 Studios is the studio that was started by now-retired professional baseball player Curt Schilling who is also an admitted World of Warcraft addict.  Founding 38 Studios to create an “Online Entertainment Experience,” Schilling and his team have been working on this new fantasy MMOG, currently entitled Copernicus, since 2006. I know at this point you’re rolling your eyes at another fantasy MMORPG, and frankly, I don’t blame you.  Instead let’s look at how Schilling, a World Series Champion and fairly well-known and popular person in the US, bought into the industry to bring a quality product for the masses to enjoy. Druids, are you tired of looking the same as all the other Druids? Would you want to change colors in your bear and cat form? Do you want to dance in bear form in style? Well now you can, as Blizzard has announced new looks for the Druids! In the next major patch for World of Warcraft, druids will be able to find color schemes for the bear and cat forms. Blizzard made the following announcement on their Under Development page: “There will be five different designs for each of these forms for the Horde and Alliance. Night elves can choose to change their cat and bear look at any time by visiting the barber shop and changing their character's hair color, while tauren will be able to change which look they use by switching skin tones in the barber shop -- a new feature for tauren in the next major content patch. In 2006 Marvel and Activision teamed up to create Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. Built on the X-men Legends engine, Ultimate Alliance featured the largest collection of comic book characters ever seen in a video game. Combining the standard roster with downloadable content, Ultimate Alliance featured nearly 40 playable characters. The game was a success and this coming fall we'll get to see the sequel Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion. Looks like Nintendo just announced a very cool little goodie for the Nintendo Wii. As of August 24th you will be able to buy Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Nintendo Wii, all utilizing the Wii Remotes control system displayed in Metroid Prime 3. 4MM games is a new gaming company founded by the original co-founders of Rockstar Games Jamie King and Gary Foreman.  Best known for their creation of Grand Theft Auto, Midnight club racing, Bully and Max Payne. “I was hugely honored to be approached by talent of Jamie and Gary’s caliber to co-found 4mm Games,” said Nicholas Perrett, Chief Executive Officer of 4mm Games. Looks like this time around 4MM games will be concentrating on the "online" aspect of video games.  4MM games is looking to create new properties for mobile platforms like the iPhone before expanding to consoles. The Sims 3, which is release on June 2nd 2009, is beginning a media campaign to infiltrate your Social Network! Electronic Arts is going to use three new ways to let players enter the sims world on the web! Make them hang around your browser, send you an e-mail just to see how things are going, and even enter your iPhone. As many may know, when we launched Aggrogamer.com, we brought the Pwned.com Podcast, Total Meltdown, over with us. We changed the name of it to the more suitable title of Aggrocast. We retain the same cast of Michael (G-Nitro), Brian (Quiglin), and Binh (Church). We also kept the same format but moved around a bit to settle in properly with the site, and we also made sure the same craziness, humor and entertainment is still there. Japanese PSP game, Toradora! Portable, a visual novel game based on the anime Toradora!, has managed to shock and please numerous otaku. Sankaku Complex reported earlier that when one completes Taiga's Scenario in game to 100% completion, you are greeted with a rather surprise ending. Fans come to the realization that Taiga is in fact pregnant with Ryuji's child. There are other scenarios available to complete with two other characters, Ami and Minorin, but no word on how they end as of yet. Toradora! Read More...

FTW! Last month World of Warcraft made an announcement that they would be bringing us two new Gamer Fuel flavors of Mountain Dew.  Alliance Blue and Horde Red.  The official Warcraft site has been posting little about it but no real definite dates. Currently there is a website here with a timer quickly counting down.  The mystery is that it says you can start winning tokens and you can enter a chance to win every 15 minutes.
