This Week In Video Games 6/3/19 — 6/7/19
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of June 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week If you were hoping things to be quite this week in video games just before E3, we would all be wrong. It is seeming more and more as if we are getting announcements before the event instead of surprises day of. I will take it as we did get to see Baldur's Gate 3 and Darksiders Genesis announced during this week and get us ready for next week. Not only that, but we did get to see Watch Dogs Legion announced after the usual leaks that happen for that company before the event. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of June 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Darksiders The next Darksiders title has been announced and will be altering the style and bringing us Strife with Darksiders Genesis It looks like we were all right in guessing what THQ Nordic was going to announce as we have Darksiders Genesis here just before the big showing at E3. This would be their next title in the franchise and it is a prequel to it all. Not only that, but we get to finally see Strife in action in the franchise. The mix in Darksiders Genesis is now a top-down action-RPG instead of the usual gameplay we are used to. Read More...

Beyond Good & Evil More concept art for Beyond Good & Evil 2 is here to give us all a little taste of what we can expect in this Beyond Good & Evil a bit It was recently stated that Beyond Good & Evil 2 was going to be sitting this E3 out for the year, but that does not mean that we will not be getting some kind of updates for it at all. Sure, there are the Space Monkey reports out there that Ubisoft is placing out there and we may see a new trailer before or after the event. There is nothing specific set down as of yet, but we do have something new for Beyond Good & Evil 2. Read More...

Watch Dogs Legion Is Announced & Set To Be Revealed At E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of June 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Watch Dogs The next title in the Watch Dogs franchise is now announced, as we will see Watch Dogs Legion at E3 this year after various ‘leaks’ If you were hoping for a huge reveal to happen from Ubisoft at E3, then it is time to take some of the steam out as we have word that Watch Dogs Legion is officially going to be a thing now. Not that there will not be other huge announcements, but it looks like the publisher opted to get out ahead of the recent leak of the game and announce it before their big event. Why no one can hold on to their secret information they have been trusted with is beyond me still, but it is what it is. Read More...

It’s Time To Go Dark With Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of May 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty The next Call Of Duty title is officially announced and it looks like it will indeed be Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare The time is finally here and it is time to reveal what this year's Call Of Duty will be, and it will be…Modern Warfare. Yes, it looks like all of the rumors are true and Infinity Ward will be back bringing us a reboot to the Modern Warfare line of the franchise. It messes up the numbering, sure, but at least we are set to get back on track with a single-player campaign and some over-the-top visuals as you can see in the trailer that released with this announcement. All of which brings some interesting and new things for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare that you may not have expected for its October 25th release date. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of May 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Monstrum Monstrum II has been officially announced and will be carrying on everything from the original Monstrum into the next generation It feels like it was not that long ago that we were here talking about the original Monstrum making its way out for the PS4 and Xbox One, and now we are here with the announcement for Monstrum II. To my knowledge, the prior is still in the works from Junkfish, but that will not change the fact that we are getting the sequel here by the end of next year. At least for the PC gamers. Read More...

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled Is Bringing A New Adventure Mode
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of May 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Crash Team Racing Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is almost here and with it will be a new Adventure Mode, of sorts, to complement the original version form Crash Team Racing Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is just about to drop on June 21st and it looks like we are getting just a bit more than a newly upgraded visual set for the game. That should have been a bit of a given based on everything else that Beenox has been giving us for the game thus far, but now we get to see how the Adventure Mode will be altered in the game when it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. Altered in a good way, from what we can see now, and not in a way that would make us all question why we would want to buy Crash Team Racing again. Read More...

Well, at least for the PC gamers out there as the PS4 and Xbox One gamers will need to wait until December to experience what Panache Digital Games has put together. That is a bit away, but as I mentioned, PC gamers will be able to get their hands on Ancestors on August 27th. Read More...

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Brings More Sights To Be Seen
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of May 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Ancestors New gameplay for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is here and shows off a bit more on how we will identify things in Ancestors with our babies Here we go with a bit more gameplay for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey today and it is just a nice little bit. I will take everything that we can out of Panache Digital Games here as it has been an interesting concept from day one for me. Especially given the pedigree of the developers in charge of it all. That and the interesting use of the game's world to force exploration in Ancestors. Read More...

Life Is Strange The trailer for the third episode of Life Is Strange 2 is here as we see Daniel start to walk a dark path in the world of Life Is Strange Our journey continues in Life Is Strange 2 on May 9th, next Thursday for those keeping track, and it looks like things have gone all kinds of crazy in the story. Not as if DontNod did not already have some crazy shit going on in the story and game's world, but it does look like things are getting crazier. Call Of Duty The next DLC for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 is almost here and we have a new look at just what it will bring to this Call Of Duty title The next "season" of content for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 is just about to hit us all. At least for those who have bought in for everything that the game has to offer until the next major one is released this year. At least, it is rumored to be this year and not from Treyarch as we keep the revolving door of it all turning. There could be a break for Call Of Duty to focus more on the expanded content for this one, but I would not hold my breath. Read More...

Life Is Strange 2 Teases Us All With Some Special Kind Of Fun
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of April 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange A new teaser for Life Is Strange 2's third episode shows the cast of Life Is Strange 2 heading into a special kind of nettle field Color me surprised that we did not get more of these kinds of trailers like the one we have here for the next episode of Life Is Strange 2. That being ones that try to dive into the made-up holiday to celebrate the 20th of April. It looks like DontNod did not want to be left out of it all as we await the third episode of the game and see how everything will progress for the boys. It looks like it will take a smelly path given the setting of Life Is Strange 2, but with little to no context in it all. Read More...
