Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The week has come to a close and we had all kinds of video games to talk about once again and a few things that were not specifically in that realm. Twisted Metal The release date for the second season of Twisted Metal is finally set with the Twisted Metal kicking off by the end of July The second season for Twisted Metal will be riding up on us sooner than some might have thought and this Summer is going to be an explosive one. If you have not had a chance to see season one of the show, it is currently streaming on Peacock for you to enjoy. You will want to hop on that as soon as possible so you can be sure to be up to speed by July 31st. That is the date that season two of Twisted Metal will be kicking off on the platform as well. Tony Hawk There is more of the Tony Hawk fun coming out there with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 heading to the Switch 2 as well It should come as no surprise that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is now on the way to the Nintendo Switch 2. This most likely would have been part of the original announcement for the game if Iron Galaxy Studios and Activision did not have to wait for the new console to get its official showcase, but that is a whole different can of worms. We now know that it is officially coming and not going to be part of some backwards play for those who are picking it up on the original Switch. Even if that might be the best option this coming July 11th with how the new console is being handled in the States currently and if you will even be able to have it before this new Tony Hawk remake title drops out there. Stygian The gameplay of Stygian opens up quite a bit more with a new look at the upcoming entry to the IP, Stygian: Outer Gods This new update that we have for Stygian: Outer Gods is going to be a fun and big one for those out there looking to see where this IP is going out there. It still seems like there is going to be a bit more time before Misterial Games gets us all to the final version of the game, but Fulqrum Publishing is making sure that we are not left waiting for that until some time later in the year. In fact, it looks like the Early Access for Stygian: Outer Gods is about to start up on April 14th for those looking to have some of the experience on the PC before waiting for it to come to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S too. I Hate This Place The comic series I Hate This Place is coming to life in video game form with a new video game named… I Hate This Place Well, it looks like another comic book is coming alive out there with the reveal for I Hate This Place coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. A title that is coming to life from the book of the same name and from Rock Square Thunder and Broken Mirror Games in the mix of all of this. It is coming from a label known for some of the best horror we have had in the more indie space of things, so that is fully worth noting. Assassin’s Creed The next chapter of Assassin’s Creed is finally here with the full launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows to the world It has taken a lot longer than we would have thought, but Assassin’s Creed Shadows is finally out there on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for us all to enjoy. If you are one of the ones who can get past all of the criticisms that have been wrongly, or rightly, thrown the way at Ubisoft for the game. They have taken their time to make sure it was all ironed out and a great version of the game is coming to us in the end. Read More...

Assassin’s Creed A new walkthrough for Assassin’s Creed Shadows is here to show how this Assassin’s Creed is offering up two vastly different experiences We only have one more week to finally get our hands on Assassin’s Creed Shadows after all of the extra waiting we have had to endure. It might have been a bit of a struggle, but we are in the endgame for it and Ubisoft is ready to offer up a whole lot of fun for us so we are ready for March 20th when the game lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That is, we have a whole lot of new gameplay to dive into for the game and to see just how Naoe & Yasuke will be rolling around in this Assassin’s Creed. Hell Is Us New gameplay for Hell Is Us is finally out there to offer up a look at how the investigations will go down in Hell Is Us Those investigator hats are going to be needed here with the latest gameplay we have for Hell Is Us. Not because we need to dig into any hidden means that Rogue Factor might have hidden in the gameplay, but because that is the focus of it all this time around. That being the investigation and exploration parts of Hell Is Us that we will have to endure when the game lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this September 4th. Occultist We have some gameplay to look at for The Occultist so we can get further into the mindset of our Occultist out there In the mix of all of the fun with the recent Nacon Connect, we had a bit of The Occultist slip into the mix out there. An interesting choice, given that it is DALOAR and Daedalic Entertainment behind the bulk of it all, but it is one I will gladly take as it gave us all a bit of the gameplay we can expect when the game lands in 2026 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Something a bit further beyond than just another first-person horror experience and also fitting with all of the paranormal things we have on the way. So, get ready to see just a little bit of what The Occultist has to offer and some of the frights we can expect to experience next year. Read More...

Side Quest The spin-off series from Mythic Quest, Side Quest, is dropping out there very soon for us all to pick up yet another Side Quest Just as the fourth season of Mythic Quest is coming to an end, it looks as if things are going to carry on a bit more with Side Quest. This would be the spin-off show that was in the works from Ubisoft and Apple TV+ to further capitalize on the popularity of the show while giving more of the cast and crew ways to flex their talents a bit more. Tony Hawk Tony Hawk fans are going to be able to get more of their skating on with the reveal of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 We all sure do seem to love remakes and want them enough that we are finally getting a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 back out there again. A full remake of those titles coming from Iron Galaxy Studios for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. All so we can get more of our skate on, virtually, with all of our favorite pro skaters out there. Stygian The story of Stygian is expanding further with a demo for Stygian: Outer Gods on the way to us by the end of the month The Old Ones are coming back to place all the horrors they can on humanity with Stygian: Outer Gods. A title that we heard about a little while ago from Misterial Games and Fulqrum Publishing that is on its way to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. All of that is still up in the air for now beyond an Early Access coming to the PC at some point in the year. That is all nice and good, but the better news we have here is that Stygian: Outer Gods will be offering up a slight taste of it all with a new demo for the game on February 24th. Read More...

WWE A new interactive WWE documentary is on the way to us all when we get the full release of WWE 2K25 out there It looks like we might be able to change some history out there when WWE 2K25 hits the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this March 14th. Not in a way that would be detrimental as we have seen in other ways this goes on in the world, but in a new interactive documentary that Visual Concepts is dropping into the game for us all to experience. A mode that will allow us to see some of the great matches from the past of the WWE and give a different twist to how they played out or who even was part of it all. Hell Is Us The full release of Hell Is Us is finally coming and we do not have much longer to wait for Hell Is Us We finally are in the home stretch to see what Hell Is Us is going to offer up to the world, as we have a final release date for the game. After it was revealed back in 2022, and missed the original timelines that Rogue Factor and NACON set down for the game, we only have a few more months to see how this third-person action game is going to play out. As long as you are ready to pick up Hell Is Us on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC this coming September 4th.
