Swing The Pendulum & Figure Out What Is Real In The Occultist
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of August 2024 - 07:00 PM ]
Occultist Take on a new supernatural world with The Occultist as we get to see just what this occultist might be able to do out there Well, it looks like the horror of the world will still carry on into 2025, not a huge surprise, but at least we will have The Occultist to help with all of that. No, I am not talking about the specific Hellscape that we find ourselves in right now, but the world that DALOAR and Daedalic Entertainment are building for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for 2025. Even if it would be a nice change of pace to see this kind of survival horror out there in the world instead of the one we have now. I am getting off-topic, though, so let us dig further into The Occultist and just what this new announcement is going to offer us all when the game does launch out there. Read More...

So, You Want To Play Disney Lorcana (Or How I Fell Back Into A CCG)
by Raymond Bruels [ Tuesday, 23rd of July 2024 - 05:00 PM ]
Lorcana So, you want to play Disney Lorcana (or how I fell back into a CCG) It began with a dream. A few months ago, I had a dream that I was playing Magic The Gathering. This lingered for a while with me at times floating the idea of getting into a CCG (Collectible Card Game) with my spouse to which they showed interest. But I had been out of the MtG scene twenty-five years ago and really knew I did not want to get back into that. It was fairly toxic when I played those years ago and we did not even have social media. Read More...

TV Review — Star Wars: The Acolyte [Some Spoilers]
by Raymond Bruels [ Thursday, 18th of July 2024 - 05:00 PM ]
Acolyte Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Power of Many… Missed Opportunities. Here are my thoughts on The Acolyte (Warning – spoilers!) So, the last episode dropped and after eight weeks of slogging through Star Wars: The Acolyte, I figured it is time to share my thoughts on the show. Overall while I did not care for the series, there were aspects of this show I did appreciate. There has been a lot of online hate leveled at the show, its cast, its writers, and its showrunner Leslye Headland. Some of the complaints I agree with, while others I think are nitpicking and prompted by statements that Headland and Stenberg have made. Read More...
