Zachary Levi To Host Video Game Awards

Today it was announced that Zachary Levi will be hosting the 2011 Video Game Awards on Spike TV. Before you click away from this article and roll your eyes, let's take a look at the VGAs and this press release in particular before you pre-judge the fledgling award show. I decided to do this analysis in hopes that Spike TV is trying to legitimize the show and the process. First off, Zachary Levi is a nice, safe choice for host. Grand Theft Auto V Now Has It's Trailer...Straight Outta Vinewood

The wait is now over GTA fans. The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto V can be seen below in all of its glory. At least in the glory of having a trailer that really doesn't tell us much. Outside of heavy hints at a Los Angeles-type setting and a time period of being current. But hey, it is better than just having a tweet that said the game was coming. We all get to see that the game is in full production and not just some pre-production limbo for now. I, for one, was wishing that Rockstar would have deviated from the normal GTA staples and gone outside of the box - at least in the realm of game world. Read More...

Borderlands 2 Game Play Footage

So I was surfing around YouTube and came across this amazing fourteen minute long sneak peak of Borderlands 2. Just watching the first five minutes I was blown away by the unprecedented amount of changes to the game; Completely revamped menu system that is all in-world and amazing improvements of enemy AI, they actually climb walls and jump over gaps to get to you. Borderlands 2 Is Getting Chilly Too

Living in Vegas it is rare that we get to see snow. I'm talking real heavy snow. I personally hate the stuff but I do love the temperature that comes along side with snow. Batman Getting The Cold Shoulder In Arkham City

Here we go with yet another villain shown for Batman: Arkham City - Mr. Freeze. If you look below, you'll see the nice, shiny new trailer for this latest reveal. At first glance, it really just seems like another step to stop Bats from getting things under control. That is, until he begins to meander around like a smaller, frozen Big Daddy. It does look like Freeze will be adding a few new environmental challenges for Batman from the video. Most notably would have to be the freezing of ledges. Read More...

The case I'm talking about is that 2K Games sent out no official press release and just used the magazine to spread the word. So everyone out there who doesn't have a subscription and/or doesn't want to pick up the magazine is SOL. You could also be like myself and still have yet to receive your copy in the mail. Nintendo Drops 3DS Price, Rewards Early Adopters

Nintendo recently announced that on August 12th, they will be reducing the price of the Nintendo 3DS from its original lofty $249.99 to $169.99 - a dramatic decrease. The most likely reason being they've sold less than a million units since the 3DS made its retail debut in North America at the end of March. Besides the high price, the 3DS had a few other things going against it: poor software library, no internet browser, lack of an online virtual store and the thrill over 3D is waning some in the general populace.
