by Juliet Meyer [ Friday, 10th of October 2025 - 09:00 PM ]
Magic Magic: The Gathering is getting another big crossover with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles getting their own Magic cards The Magic: The Gathering fun expands even further out there with a new crossover with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles next year. Even though pre-orders are being served up hot right now, you can make sure that you are able to get these heroes in a half-shell on March 6th, 2026, if that is something you need to do. Granted, there are many other options like this coming to Magic, so it would make sense if you needed to skip this one. It's just worth noting for all of those TMNT fans out there that they can get the core four and many other characters from the IP mixed in, along with some new art that can only be picked up in this way. Magic: The Gathering And How I Got Pulled Back In
by Raymond Bruels [ Monday, 21st of July 2025 - 05:00 PM ]
Magic Let's take a trip to MagicCon 2025 and how it pulled me right back into the fun of Magic: The Gathering Magic: The Gathering, that seminal work by Dr. Richard Garfield had a major impact on my life. A high school buddy introduced me to the game around Unlimited Edition, and we would regularly trade Arabian Nights and Antiquities cards. I loved Legends and The Dark, but around Fallen Empires, I started to get disillusioned. I had gotten into Type 2 tournaments, introduced numerous friends to the game, and watched as stores around Warrensburg; Missouri began running tournaments. Read More...

It is hard to think that it has been in this situation for so long, but it looks like CD Projekt RED has found their game to be ready for the free market out there. Even after so many professional Gwent events that have been run while still in its beta form. I will not knock it, but it seems a bit odd in general. Read More...

Learn The Basics On How To Play Gwent: The Witcher Card Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of January 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Gwent Since Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has undergone a few changes recently in the beta it may be time to relearn Gwent in preparation for its upcoming release Since the beta for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game kicked off last year we've seen a few things get changed up and reworked to make sure the game is at its best that it can be. It really is what CD Projekt RED is going for here instead of the usual demo hidden as a beta thing that most other companies go for when they really just want to hype a game or test their servers before launch. That all said, we've seen changes that some love and other disagree with but for those who are still not in or playing the beta currently, you may need a breakdown for how Gwent is played here as it is a bit different than its original inception back in The Witcher 3. Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Is Shaking Up Player Progression A Bit Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of December 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Gwent A new player progression system is coming to Gwent: The Witcher Card Game with the next patch update and it aims to mix up the Gwent leveling system in a good way If you are already playing in the Gwent: The Witcher Card Game beta then get ready to see things get changed up a bit yet again. Of course this is something we should always be ready for when in a beta and especially here as CD Projekt RED is looking to give us the best version of this little game that they can and are not married to many of the gameplay designs yet. This is a good thing before you get on a high horse about your Gwent never staying the same. Read More...

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game's Player Progression Has Been Explained A Bit More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of November 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Gwent New details on Gwent: The Witcher Card Game's player progression system have been revealed and it looks like players who can't play Gwent non-stop won't be penalized too much The closed beta for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is fully underway and has been for some time. Maybe you made it in or maybe you didn't. Either way that doesn't mean that there aren't some sweet card battles going on and that CD Projekt RED isn't taking all of the feedback given to help make this title the best version it can be. I personally thought that what we had in the original mini-game of Gwent was amazing but this full version is adding on a lot of extras to make it more than just a card game and something we all want to keep progressing through at the end of the day.
