The Matrix Is Coming
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of June 2008 - 06:16 PM ]
Paralyzed Man Takes A Walk In Virtual World Ok, so I love reading about these kinds of things that make science fiction into science fact over time. I know I've had other stories about similar things, but I found yet another one that I thought god to share with you. So this guy in Japan that has been hit with a horrible lot and has been paralyzed got hooked up, pun intended, with a device that reads his brainwaves and allows for him to manipulate data in a computer. Mainly just the data streams that are used for input and such, but still data. He merely thought about walking and was able to make an avatar in Second Life walk around the virtual world. BREAKING A RECORD
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Saturday, 7th of June 2008 - 04:26 AM ]
What person hasn't thought about breaking a world record at least once in their lifetime? I remember as a kid - the Guinness books were the ones most often checked out at our schools library, so when the chance arose to finally be in the book itself, I was more excited than a fat kid in a cake factory (no offense to any of you fat kids ;p ). Every year thousands of people gather at the Dallas based anime convention, A-KON in a weekend that can only be described as PEACE, LOVE and POCKY. This year's convention though seemly the same, had one major difference - Guinness Book of World Records was there to witness our world-record breaking skills at work! Read More...

Capcom's Gamer Day Alright, so, I wasn't able to make it to this years Capcom convention. A little upset since it took place in my home city. It was an extremely closed group of the press and 5 lucky Capcom fans that got to go in and check everything out that Capcom has coming up. I'm a little let down I didn't go, but I have the stories to share with ya. The guys at one of the best Game sites, Kotaku.com, has all the stuff we want. Read More...

Activision Gets pwned By WSJ
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of May 2008 - 04:34 PM ]
Video: Guitar Hero IV Demo I was perusing Kotaku.com and stumbled across this little gem. I almost busted a gut when I watched the stuff leading up to the actual demo of the game. One quote in particular. I'll wait until after you watch the video before I slap it out for you. It is awesome. Here's the Video.     Ok, now that you've had a chance to watch the video, or at least I am making the assumption. Did you catch the quote, "This is the first time you will be able to play all the instruments," said by the Activision CEO Robert Kotick. Read More...

PC Street Fighter IV
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Wednesday, 28th of May 2008 - 11:21 PM ]
Next Generation reports Street Fighter IV for the PC is in the works, in spite of the PC not being considered the ideal platform for fighting games. They say the game will be released "this fiscal year," for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Street Fighter Website has a countdown timer, which reads two day and fifteen plus hours at this point, so it's possible that another revelation related to the franchise will be made before the end of this week. Ikki Tousen EF Coming to Japanese PSPs This Fall
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 27th of May 2008 - 06:34 PM ]
This Fall, October 2nd 2008 to be exact, anime and manga fans of Ikki Tousen (Battle Vixens in the U.S.) can beat-'em-up on the go.  Ikki Tousen: Eloquent Fist, or EF, for short will make it's debut on the Sony PSP as a side scrolling 2D Action/Beat-'Em-Up game.  The anime best known as fan service due to it's featuring of girls battling out in dresses and short skirts, as well as featuring many ecchi moments such as clothing being literally ripped to shreds and gratuitous panty shots. The game will feature animation sequences reproduced from the CD and look very well done on the PSP's small screen.  And yes, just like in the anime and manga series, the game features a Costume Destruction System, so as more damage is taken, the less clothes the character will have. [RUMOR] That I Hope Is True
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of May 2008 - 04:16 PM ]
Resident Evil 5 Now Due Out In November? So first thing I find when I get back from a fun filled 3 day weekend is some great news. That it looks like Resident Evil 5 will be out for this holiday season. Well before the big on and after the appropriate one. Christmas and Halloween respectfully. Much better than the March of '09 release that was originally slapped on this title. Now why would this be the case? On the official Resident Evil Website a weird count down has been placed on the front end of the site. Read More...

by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Thursday, 22nd of May 2008 - 05:57 PM ]
Variety has news that Castlevania & Pac-Man are set in stone to be made as "movies" for you and me to see while sucking down a drink and popcorn.  Will the movies suck is a big question many will have.  "Castlevania," a co-production with Universal's Rogue Pictures. Project, based on the Konami vidgame, is written by Paul Anderson ("Resident Evil") and directed by Sylvain White ("Stomp the Yard").  Other titles in the Grosvenor Park-funded slate include an adaptation of Richard Branson's memoir "Losing My Virginity," a bigscreen adaptation of vidgame "Pac-Man" and a sequel to John Woo's actioner "Hard Boiled"; company also controls the rights to Brad Thor's bestselling novels.
