Alien Isolation Is Proof The Franchise Will Never Die
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of January 2014 - 07:24 PM ]
Alien Isolation has been announced from Sega and Creative Assembly games but will it be the Aliens game we hoped we were getting before? During the hullabaloo of CES it looks like Sega announced a new Aliens title, Alien Isolation. Yea, after the huge fiasco that was Aliens: Colonial Marines, it looks like Sega and 20th Century just doesn't want to let the franchise fall aside and let the fans still love what they already loved. One bonus that Alien Isolation does look to have is that it is being handled by a new studio, so there is that. Why don't we take a look at the announcement trailer and see what is going on here. Review: Nihilumbra
by Kenton Winkfield [ Sunday, 12th of January 2014 - 07:53 PM ]
We sit down and review Nihilumbra. How does this quirky 2D side-scroller handle? As much as i enjoy a game with many difficult maneuvers and complex button combinations to master, a simple game is always preferred after a long day. But simple gameplay can make it difficult for a game to hold my attention, and keep me from getting bored. The people at BeautiFun Games have created the perfect game to fill that position. BeautiFun Games is a 7-person indie development company located in a city just outside of Barcelona, Spain. Read More...

A Few Updates On PlayStation Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of January 2014 - 05:31 PM ]
PlayStation Now was announced and we got some of the news but after getting to talk to some of the people behind the service we have a few updates. Earlier I wrote about my experiences with Sony's new PlayStation Now service that will be coming to market in the next half a year or so. I had a few reservations as well as a few other questions crop up during my writing. Being semi-responsible I decided to go and get some better clarifications and answers to expand on my experience. Here is what I learned directly from the horse's mouth at CES. Read More...

CES 2014 Hands On: PlayStation Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of January 2014 - 05:32 PM ]
Sony unveiled PlayStation Now at this year's CES and had a little taste of it on the show floor. Here's what I discovered while giving it a whirl. In case you have missed the announcement, Sony has announced PlayStation Now as a new video game streaming service coming to the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, and Bravia TVs in the near future. Think of it along the lines of OnLive or the PC game streaming feature from GameFly but aimed at PlayStation games and at Sony products solely. That is the general gist of things but here's a bit more of a break down for you. Read More...

The Steam Machine is one of the hot items at this year's CES and I was lucky enough to get all handsie with one of the units and controllers. What did I think? The Steam Machine had to be one of the top things I wanted to check out at this year's CES in Las Vegas, NV and it just happened to be the first thing to kick off my experience. To those who don't know what they are you can check out more info here so I don't have to get into the details of the device(s). For those of you who do have a clue, then read on and see what my I think. Read More...

Review: The Walking Dead Season 2 - All That Remains
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of January 2014 - 06:38 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Walking Dead Season 2 - All That Remains. It's The First Episode But Does It Keep The Steamroller Of A Franchise Rolling? I've finally had time to digest the events of the first episode of the second season of The Walking Dead from Telltale. It's been over a year coming and we now get to see what happens to the adorable little Clementine and the survivors of the previous season even though those numbers were running pretty low at the end. So let's jump in and see if the wait was worth it. If there seems to be description missing that is due to trying to keep this as spoiler free as possible. Read More...

by Kenton Winkfield [ Thursday, 19th of December 2013 - 06:27 PM ]
Review Of The Harvest By South African Indie Developers Luma Arcade Are you busy and looking for a game to play that doesn't require all your attention? Is solitaire not intensive enough to fill that free time? Do you not have a mouse readily available to play most games and are left with only one free hand and a trackpad? Well that sucks, but maybe you'll want to look into The Harvest. The Harvest is a top-down action RPG set in the future from South African Developers, Luma Arcade. Read More...

The Walking Dead Season 2 Is Finally Launching And Launching Today For Most. Let's See What Telltale Has For Us. If there was one game that captures so many over the last two years it has been The Walking Dead from Telltale. Hard to believe it has been that long since we were first introduced to Clementine and Lee isn't it? It has been though and now we are moving into the second season of the The Walking Dead franchise and for most of us gamers out there that day is today. Don't get too worried by me saying for most of us and not all just yet though. Read More...

Get Teased Some More For Tom Clancy's The Division
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of December 2013 - 07:24 PM ]
The New Tom Clancy's The Division Trailer Shows Off The Amazing Snowdrop Engine But Nothing In Terms Of Gameplay I have heard so many people talk about how awesome The Division looks and how excited everyone is for it. After watching a few of the gameplay videos online, because I missed the first big showing at E3, I too have been getting more and more interested in The Division. I am not a huge Tom Clancy fan but the visuals and little bit of gameplay I have seen makes me ignore that part of the game's title and keep alerts up on anything new. Like most of you I got excited when it was stated there was going to be new gameplay video during the VGX awards last weekend. Read More...

Shock And Awe At The Power And Utility Given With The Unreal Engine 4. We've Seen The Final Project. Now See How It Was Done. Time to take a little side trip away from the normal hustle and bustle of gaming and go down the avenue of how some of our favorite games, or soon to be favorite games, are made. I think any of us would be hard pressed to not be able to name a title made via the Unreal Engine. If you have to think too hard on that then you must turn in your 'Gamer Card' now. Read More...

Review: Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of November 2013 - 06:29 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD. How Does This Port From The 3DS Stand Up On The PS3 And 360? Originally released on the 3DS, most of us who don't own a 3DS missed out on Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow - Mirror Of Fate. Luckily for all of us who are fans of the Lords of Shadow franchise MercurySteam added a HD rendition of Mirror Of Fate in the recent Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow Collection for the PS3 and 360. This is just in time to let us all have a good go at the full story before LoS2 comes out. As usual though, is the game worth your time or should you pass on it? Read More...

Story Time: Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of November 2013 - 05:57 PM ]
Looks Like Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee Is Getting The HD Make Over With Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty. Here's The Story Trailer And Some Proof I remember way back in 1997 when I first spun up Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee in my PS One. At the time I thought it was the pinnacle of graphics and fun story telling. Now it looks like we are getting a HD rendition of some sort with Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty. From what I remember of the original and see below in the story trailer it is the same in most ways. But that is to be expected from a full remake am I right? Read More...

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Give You A Case Of Déjà Vu
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of November 2013 - 11:28 PM ]
There Are A Couple Of New Trailers Out For Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. They Showcase Some New Gameplay And The Déjà Vu Mode I don't know if you want to take this as good news for PlayStation owners or not but it looks like Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is going to have a mode just for them. This mode is simply called Déjà Vu and from the looks of it, it is a mode that allows you to replay missions in Metal Gear Solid V using the original skins from the PS One days. Exciting stuff to say the least. Read More...

We Sit Down And Review Call Of Duty: Ghosts. This Is The Second Part Where We Cover The Multiplayer Of The Game The new Call Of Duty is here and it’s that time again for players to put many hours into the games' multiplayer. This time it's Infinity Ward up to bat with Call Of Duty: Ghosts. This is part two of our Call Of Duty: Ghosts review and you can check out our Campaign review here.
