And Thus The Hazard Drops
by Kevin [ Tuesday, 5th of January 2010 - 02:42 PM ]
A few months ago we reported on the parody-rich continuation of Matt Hazard's first adventure, Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. This entry in the series, the downloadable Blood, Bath, and Beyond, is billed as a classic side-scroller to confront the evil General Neutronov, who has traveled back in time to capture 8-bit version of our hero. The strategy? Kill the original so that the current version of Matt will not exist to stop him. Read More...

Review: God of War Collection - GoWII
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of December 2009 - 03:49 PM ]
Continuing from the God of War Review from a few weeks ago, the beginning part of the Collection, we bring you God of War II. Which as you would think, continues the story of Kratos and his fight against the Gods and Titans from Greek mythology. Only this time with a little bit more twists and a quasi surprise ending that some could kind of see coming. At least if you know your mythology. Before I get to much further in, let me answer a question you may have. Read More...

Dear Readers: It has certainly been a pleasure writing for you, and I will be back soon, however I must leave now for a while as my country needs me. I decided sometime back to join the Navy and I ship out to boot camp today. While I will be without internet and any form of communication for the next few months, I will be back to writing after basic training. This is a new chapter of my life and I am very excited. My rate (job) will be AV, which will either be Aviation Electrician or Aviation Electronics Technician. Read More...

Chuck Brings the Pain to Your Mobile Device: Review
by Kevin [ Thursday, 10th of December 2009 - 05:07 AM ]
One of the few game developers that has never ceased to amaze me is Gameloft. I don't know what their development philosophy is, but it has consistently led to some great gaming experiences on mobile devices. To be perfectly honest, Chuck Norris: Bring On The Pain continues in that trend, turning the worn jokes concerning our favorite Texas Ranger into a pretty entertaining game.Over at the official site, Gameloft gives some insight as to what you are in for: "Step into the boots of America’s toughest man in the first Chuck Norris game available for your iPhone and iPod touch. A brilliantly outlandish scenario sets you, Chuck Norris, in the Cambodian jungle to release prisoners of war held hostage by a rogue army of Communist soldiers. Read More...

Aggrocast Episode Fifty Two: Bringing Back The Class
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 7th of December 2009 - 08:24 PM ]
Michael is back after missing an episode while away in Alabama. After a brief joke on Brian and Binh, the crew jumps right back into action. We discuss the games we've been playing, including Left 4 Dead 2, Lego Rock band, New Super Mario Brothers Wii and more. In Bargain Binh this week, Binh shows us some resistance for the Playstation 3. Brian takes us back to a kart classic from the 16-Bit era on the Virtual Console. Michael shows some love to the greatest B-Movie actor for his Netflix Pix. Read More...

Review: God of War Collection - GoW
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of December 2009 - 05:41 PM ]
With the lack of backwards compatibility on the current age PS3 units, it was starting to look like there was no way for new users to play their classic games as the technology became more economically available. This being the case, it looked like some great classic games would get purged from households to make way for the new technology. But you can't keep a great classic down, and it was decided to produce a version of one to make it through to the modern tech. Much like the great Greek Tales, God of War and God of War II do just the same with the God of War Collection. Read More...

Review: Assassin's Creed Bloodlines
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 2nd of December 2009 - 05:39 PM ]
As I was about to board my flight for the trip, I thought I might pick up something to help the trip go by faster. I understood that buying inside the airport usually meant higher prices, but I managed to find a reasonably priced PSP Assassin's Creed Bloodlines bundle, which came with the game, a Silver PSP-3000, a code redeemable for a DLC version of Angels and Demons, and a 2gb memory stick. Sure, I already had the PSP-1000 and I did know that the 3000's screens were crap at best, but I decided to get one anyhow seeing as that my launch unit's screen was fairly beaten up, scratched, and the fact that the audio only worked through the headphones as the speakers had found a way to stop working about 2 weeks before. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed isn't new to the handheld world, Altair's Chronicles was released to the Nintendo DS and iPhone earlier, however this was the first time that they would try putting the full free-roam style gameplay on a handheld. Aggrocast Episode Fifty One: No GNitro? No Problem...we think
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 25th of November 2009 - 05:28 PM ]
The crew is back minus Michael as he is in the land of the Crimson Tide. Brian and Binh are joined once again by Shannon (moepower). They talk about how much they miss Mike, give a lot of love to Oblivion and have a discussion about GameInformer magazine's top 200 video games of all time. We also discuss the games we have been playing (or not playing in Shannon's case), including Lego Rock Band, Torchlight, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Modern Warfare 2 and more. On Bargain Binh this week, Binh rolls out the doorbusters you must hit on Black Friday, On the DL has Brian gushing more love on a casual game that finally made it to the PSN, and Shannon pulls a hilarious TV series for the Netflix Pix. Epic Fail, the 4th edition
by Ben Brody [ Tuesday, 24th of November 2009 - 11:36 PM ]
<rant>So awoke today to an all to familiar sight: a red ringed 360. I've had 4 red rings in 5 years, and while I most likely use my 360 more than the average user, 4 units in 5 years is unacceptable for a company who can afford to make a system that won't fail.</rant> I did a poll of my 60 some friends on Live and got 30 responses: 23 of them have had red rings, 7 of them haven't, and of those 7, 3 got theirs this year (the newest 360, which allegedly won't red ring anymore). While many polls have been done outside of mine, the results are always staggering, in some polls (like the game informer poll) gamers report that the failure rate is over 50% while some polls report around 20-25%. Anything above 10% in my mind is a completely unacceptable. Read More...

by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 19th of November 2009 - 03:17 AM ]
The crew is here and celebrating their 50th episode. To kick off the celebration the right way, we brought back Michael's old co-host, Moepower (Shannon). We started off the episode perfectly as Shannon revealed her 360 just RRODed as we began the show. Bargain Binh brings us a PlayStation 3 exclusive for just under $25, Brian takes on the DL, highlighting Nintendo's recent decision to release WiiWare demos, and Michael brings Korean Horror to Netflix Pix. Shannon divulges her own Netflix Pix, bringing an anime classic to the table. Read More...

Call of Duty: The Numbers Game
by Binh Nguyen [ Wednesday, 18th of November 2009 - 11:49 PM ]
Are you tired of reading all the reviews for Modern Warfare 2? Or listening to every gaming podcast giving the game high marks? Well how about we throw some numbers at you and see if you think Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is worthy of this year's Game of the Year. Activision Blizzard, Inc (Nasdaq: ATVI) has announced today that Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 brought in approximately $550 million dollars in the first five-day worldwide. This makes it the largest entertainment launch in history. How about we look at more numbers for the first five-day entertainment records, including box office, book and other video game sales. Aggrocast Episode Forty Nine: MW2 Impressions and Controversy
by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 14th of November 2009 - 02:53 PM ]
The crew is here with episode forty nine and we give our initial impressions on Modern Warfare 2. We discuss the single player campaign and muliplayer, including a look into the controversy surrounding the game at launch. Michael also discusses a part of the game that really shook him while playing it, and you might be surprised that it doesn't involve an airport. We also discuss the other games we have been playing, including Dragon Age: Origins, Lego Rock Band, Torchlight, Borderlands and more. On Bargain Binh this week, Binh suggests a title to help survive the zombie hordes for under $20, Brian showcases a classic NES title revisioned for WiiWare when he goes On The DL, and Michael brings us a Sci-Fi action, comedy gem with Netflix Pix. Review: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
by Ben Brody [ Friday, 13th of November 2009 - 03:33 AM ]
As I looked at the massive amount of people at my local GameStop that were in line to pickup MW2, it dawned on me, this is the biggest, most anticipated, and what could be the best selling action game of all time. Over 300 people were standing in the cold for some four hours waiting for the same thing. Many of them planned on calling in sick the next day or skipping out on school just to get some playtime in. Many people were reminiscing about COD4 or saying how they played a bunch of COD4 to get psyched up about MW2. Read More...

War Zones, Zombies, Hip Hop, And 'Film Actors Guild'
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of November 2009 - 10:13 PM ]
The below thoughts are those of me, David, and not those of AggroGamer.com or Pwned.com. Send all hate mail and comments to me, or post them below. Just do the favor of not posting Annon and thus the wuss way out. With Modern Warfare and Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles both gracing shelves in the next two weeks, one after the other, it would seem time for the final launch trailers to hit the webs to give us even more reason to want these games. Like there is anyone that doesn't already want Modern Warfare and there is no Nintendophile that couldn't use another great zombie rail shooter. Am I right? Read More...

More Modern Warfare 2 PC Woes
by Ben Brody [ Friday, 6th of November 2009 - 01:34 PM ]
The bad gets worse. PC gamers have often been on the short end of the stick on gaming for awhile now except for one thing: Multiplayer. Mods, dedicated servers, better clan support, and VOIP programs like Ventrilo and Teamspeak usually make the PC multiplayer experience better than their console counterparts. Modern Warfare 2, which is poised to be the best selling FPS of all time, is only full of disappointments to the PC crowd unfortunately.Dedicated servers have already been taken away from the PC version and now comes more.
