So, You Want To Play Disney Lorcana (Or How I Fell Back Into A CCG)
by Raymond Bruels [ Tuesday, 23rd of July 2024 - 05:00 PM ]
Lorcana So, you want to play Disney Lorcana (or how I fell back into a CCG) It began with a dream. A few months ago, I had a dream that I was playing Magic The Gathering. This lingered for a while with me at times floating the idea of getting into a CCG (Collectible Card Game) with my spouse to which they showed interest. But I had been out of the MtG scene twenty-five years ago and really knew I did not want to get back into that. It was fairly toxic when I played those years ago and we did not even have social media. Read More...

TV Review — Star Wars: The Acolyte [Some Spoilers]
by Raymond Bruels [ Thursday, 18th of July 2024 - 05:00 PM ]
Acolyte Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Power of Many… Missed Opportunities. Here are my thoughts on The Acolyte (Warning – spoilers!) So, the last episode dropped and after eight weeks of slogging through Star Wars: The Acolyte, I figured it is time to share my thoughts on the show. Overall while I did not care for the series, there were aspects of this show I did appreciate. There has been a lot of online hate leveled at the show, its cast, its writers, and its showrunner Leslye Headland. Some of the complaints I agree with, while others I think are nitpicking and prompted by statements that Headland and Stenberg have made. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of July 2024 - 05:00 PM ]
Hulu Hulu is bringing more massive fun to SDCC with the announcement of Hulu Animayhem’s Factory this year Even more of the SDCC fun is gearing up for next week with the latest showing of Hulu Animayhem’s Factory. This was a thing that the company brought out last year to help show off many of the animated shows they have in their lineup as well as give fans all manner of photo ops and fun experiences to enjoy. Last year, they brought the Planet Express building to life along with many of the other animated shows on Hulu, and at SDCC 2024, they are coming hard by bringing us all the Slurm Factory from Futurama along with many other shows in tow. All taking place behind the convention and without the need of having a pass to experience. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Just as we thought, this was going to be a wild week for video games even if it was going to be a bit on the slower side. Slower in terms of massive announcements after the big push not too long ago and that the holiday in the States would cause some other issues. Thankfully, We had some fun for Dead Rising, Anger Foot, and A Quiet Place drop on us all. Along with a whole lot of other fun for Marvel Rivals before we, most likely, will get some other updates during SDCC this year. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of June 2024 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Just when we thought things might have slowed down after all of the video games announced and updated recently, we had another full week. A little on the slower side, but still a full one. I have a feeling that is to further build up to SDCC in the coming month along with making sure Terminator: Survivors and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 are getting the correct highlight as they deserve. All while giving us more for Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed and our review of Capes to be able to join the mix of the video games out there too. Read More...

Things Are Bit More Extended For The Gameplay Coming In Zoochosis
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of June 2024 - 07:00 PM ]
Zoochosis One more look at Zoochosis offers up a bit more of what we will be doing & experiencing in Zoochosis when it launches There is still a whole lot about Zoochosis that many still do not know about as we are waiting patiently for it to drop on the PC. Even though we have been given quite a bit to look at for this weird horror bodycam title that Clapperheads is working on. That said, we are back to look at more and maybe learn a few things about the game from the source, not just from piecing together what we can from a bit of gameplay. All with the feel of a behind-the-scenes video for Zoochosis while also not being one of those kinds of videos. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of June 2024 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That is a wrap on this week and the various video games we had to cover in the mix. There were still so many we were not able to get to with the flood of announcements still coming out, but we did what we could. We had a lot for Funko Fusion, more for Zoochosis, and then the little things for Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater and Assassin’s Creed Shadows too. Zoochosis New gameplay and details for Zoochosis has crept out there to give us a look at some of the other faces in Zoochosis we will be dealing with We have seen some of the horrors out there in the world of Zoochosis so far as we all wait for the full release of the game. Now, it is time that we have a look at some of the other characters that Clapperheads is putting into the game to help tell the story and give us a reason to do what we are doing in Zoochosis. All of that and… a few more of the horrors we will need to face in the game when it hits the PC. New horrors in the way of us heading deeper into the penguin enclosure in the game and seeing a few things there along with something else that is sneaking about the facility. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of June 2024 - 09:00 PM ]
Assassin’s Creed Wander about the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and see how this Assassin’s Creed will bring us back to Feudal Japan Even though we had a whole lot to look at for Assassin’s Creed Shadows last week, we are back with just a bit more. No, it is not about all the bullshit complaints fans have with Ubisoft about the characters or any of that dumb drama that is being made up. It is a good look at the lands that we are going to get to explore in this new Assassin’s Creed that fans originally were begging for. Maybe that will quiet down by November 15th when the game lands on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Read More...
