Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week It is now time to place another week behind us and take in all of the video games we have had to look at for the week. There were a lot of titles dropped or updated this week and many on the smaller size when it comes to teams. Sker Ritual and Capes certainly come to mind and then there were other video games that just had some awesome updates like The Outlast Trials and Dead Island 2. V Rising We have some new gameplay for V Rising as we are able to wander about another area V Rising will flood with the dead We are all still waiting for May 8th to come and give us the full version of V Rising out there on the PC and PS5. That is still the date that Stunlock Studios has set for us all when it comes to this title. What we do not have to wait for, though, is to see some of that great new gameplay that is on the way. Dead Island The next story expansion for Dead Island 2 is finally here so we can get more of that Dead Island world-building in the mix It is time to head back into HelLA in Dead Island 2, as we have the next big expansion for the story dropping out there with new DLC. As long as you are playing the game on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X|S. Those playing on the PC will need to wait until April 22nd to see what Dambuster Studios has added into the game. V Rising A bit more gameplay for V Rising is out there to show off how the Castlevania content will function in V Rising With the upcoming Castlevania update coming to V Rising when it launches fully on the PC and PS5, many are wondering how it is going to look and function in the game. We have seen a little bit of a tease before now with Stunlock Studios offering up a few little looks. Well, today, we have a nice long look at how all of this will look in V Rising and how we will be fighting Simon Belmont out there in the world. Star Wars The universe of Star Wars is further expanding this coming August with the release of Star Wars Outlaws It seems the rumors were true and we now have a release date set down for when Star Wars Outlaws will be hitting the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Not only a nice little release date, but it looks as if Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft wanted to make sure we had more of the story to get excited over so we can pre-order the various different versions of the game too. Stygian The Stygian universe is growing a bit more with the announcement that we have here for the upcoming Stygian: Outer Gods More of that cosmic horror flair is on the way to us all with the announcement for Stygian: Outer Gods. The next title in the line coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2025 with Misterial Games and Fulqrum Publishing keeping things alive. Alive in the way that this one is going to keep on building the world of Stygian: Reign Of The Old Ones for those who enjoyed that one and wanted more. Ghostbusters Nods to the latest Ghostbusters film have finally landed in the virtual space of Ghostbusters: Rise Of The Ghost Lord With the release of the latest film, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, it feels about right to have the DLC for the addition to drop into our virtual spaces out there. Not just as little skins for titles that are not fully linked to the title and only link via the parent companies. V Rising V Rising is getting some new content and fun as we see a spot of Castlevania added in for the fun of V Rising As we all wait for the full version of V Rising to drop out there on the PC and then the PS5, at least in a final form, we can have a look at a new bit coming when May 8th rolls on up. A new bit that will have Stunlock Studios dropping in another classic IP that deals with vampires in the mix. Zoochosis New gameplay for Zoochosis is out there to show us the basics of Zoochosis before the real horror starts to set in The terror is on the way one more time with a new look at Zoochosis and some actual gameplay for it all. Not that Clapperheads has not given some of that fun already, but this is a bigger showing of what the game is going to be about when we get it on the PC. A showing of the routine we are going to have to go through in Zoochosis before all of the animals start to become horrible spider-like creatures that are slowly stalking us and looking to infect the rest of the world. Starship Troopers A new expansion is on the way to Starship Troopers: Terran Command to take the fight to Earth for all of our Starship Troopers The fun of Starship Troopers: Terran Command is going to be expanding a bit more with the next DLC on its way to us this June. The next DLC that will have us looking at a whole new area of the IP with The Artistocrats bringing the fight deeper into the mix. If you have not jumped into the bug-squashing fun of the Starship Troopers universe with this title yet, it might be time to do that so you can be fully ready when Slitherine brings us the Urban Onslaught. Zoochosis A new video for Zoochosis is out of the Future Games Show to show us more frights to terrorize in the upcoming Zoochosis We had a good little fright with some dark animal body horror with the announcement for Zoochosis, but it looks like those frights are not going to end there. During the Future Games Show this year, Clapperheads offered up a new look at the game to place more nightmare fuel into our brains. More of the twister giraffes we will see scuttling around after whatever plague has caught them in Zoochosis. These will not be the only animals we see this happen to when the game hits the PC in Q2 of 2024, but it is a highlight of this new footage. Read More...

1943 The story of Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra is out there so we have more than just a title card for Marvel 1943 to speculate over Here we go with the Black Panther and Captain America video game getting a big update for us all to experience as Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra was shown off at GDC 2024. More than we have a bigger story and get to see just how Skydance is bringing this title to light and how Marvel Games will further expand their roster with, hopefully, a great story.
