Hitman: Absolution Has A Weird Twist On Ruler Wielding Nuns
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of May 2012 - 11:08 PM ]
We've all seen the stereotype of Nuns with rulers to rap on your knuckles when you do something wrong. Hells, some of you probably lived through something like that in your youth. But have you ever wondered what they have to break out for those kids who are too bad ass for that to work, like say, Agent 47? Well we get that answer below in the new Hitman: Absolution trailer that you can see below. I am sure that this has some form of story importance, be it for the new title or older IPs. Read More...

How Will You Murder Humans In Hitman: Absolution?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of May 2012 - 11:23 PM ]
Kind of an odd question to be asked huh but it is pretty much the question posed to you in the most recent trailer for Hitman: Absolution that showcases the star of the franchise, Agent 47. Outside of that it also shows off a bit of game play as well as the different ways you can control the original assassin through the game. It is also full of a lot of blood and violence so send the youngin's out of the room before watching it. If you are waiting to actually watch the clip and still reading, let me break it down a bit. Review: Sniper Elite V2
by Fred Buell [ Tuesday, 1st of May 2012 - 06:15 PM ]
Rebellion Developments just gave us a "reboot" or "remake" of the 2005 shooter of the same name, Sniper Elite: V2 which takes place in the same time frame. This time rather than infiltrating the Nazi Army in disguise, you are a lone sniper against both the German and Russian WW2 militaries. Referencing the real life "Operation Paper," you must sneak behind lines and kill, or rescue, German scientists from creating and launching deadly V2 rockets. The game plays very smoothly; only on few occasions, and probably at my provoking the system, did I experience any spots of being stuck or absurd clipping. Sniper Elite plays as you would hope and expect any 3rd person shooter to play. Read More...

Star Trek Should Be The Push From 3D To Something More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of April 2012 - 06:07 PM ]
It's been about eight months since we last heard anything of substance from Digital Extreme's Star Trek. Why don't we go check in and see what is new? Or if anything, see if there is anything all that spectacularly new since the E3 demo recording. Well… Um… We have a couple new pieces of concept art and a teaser trailer for the game that shows roughly a minute of new stuff. Outside of the fact that it will be able to be played completely in stereoscopic 3D, there isn't really all that much to say or show. Everything is below. Read More...

This BioShock Infinite Heavy Hitter Is Screaming For Vengeance
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of March 2012 - 09:23 PM ]
Here we go with the final "Heavy Hitter" for BioShock Infinite. Yep, the fourth and final that they are revealing as a hardcore enemy that is just below sub-boss and above mook in the game. We've gone over the Motorized Patriot, the Handyman and the Boys of Silence so far. Now we get to look at the Siren. Sounds kind of nice at first, then you find out that she essentially a healer that can resurrect all of the enemies you've already killed with but a scream. I'm not sure if this is going to be one of those creatures that inspire the panic to kill right away or just plain get annoying after killing everything in a room only to have her bring them all back. What's The Deal With Online Passes?
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 26th of March 2012 - 10:57 PM ]
Online Passes are apparently the new "Gaming Fad" even thought the majority of us gamers really dislike the over abundance of these online passes, especially when companies like EA are already starting to show some sketchy business models towards online passes. I'm going to be one-hundred percent honest: I fucking hate online passes and here are some reasons why: Online Passes are a new and "pricey" way to battle online piracy and used game sales, the latter being a joke in my opinion. A simple one use serial code that is required for access to certain online content such as Multiplayer and Co-op modes, or unlocks bonus content for a game. Although certain games such as Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and Batman: Arkham City require an online pass even though they are single player games and withhold on disc game content from the consumer if an online pass is not purchased. LittleBigPlanet Karting Now Officially Announced
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of March 2012 - 04:07 PM ]
Well it only took a little over a month, but LittleBigPlanet Karting can now be considered announced. It has a new trailer and screens to say so as well even though it was pretty much "leaked" a while back. I know…I know… But when we all first heard about the game and saw the first images it was outside the pre-defined PR timeline for when it was to be truly announced. That is now. Ok, so we all knew it was coming for a while now but at least we do get a nice new trailer and a few screens to show off the game and where it is in production. Read More...

BioShock Infinite Using Silent Alarms Now With Their New Heavy Hitter
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of March 2012 - 09:46 PM ]
Last week we got a few videos showing a few of the suped-up enemies of BioShock Infinite. The Handyman and Motorized Patriot to be specific. Keeping things going here, Irrational has brought us yet another "Heavy Hitter" from the game. These ones are called the Boys of Silence. At first glance they don't seem to imposing and only a bit on the bizarre side of things. This is BioShock after all. What is interesting her though is that these seem to be what will be taking over for those damned alarms from the first two titles. Read More...

BioShock Infinite Bringing Out The Heavy Hitters
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of March 2012 - 09:13 PM ]
With the official release date set now is as good of time as any to start the news and information flowing for BioShock Infinite. I for one am glad because I was getting tired of watching the same E3 2011 footage re-hashed and produced as something new. So I thank you Irrational for giving us a look at the first two new enemies we will be facing in the game amongst what looks like a decent sized list. First up, in case you didn't see it last week, is the Motorized Patriot. I'll admit when I first saw this thing I was a little underwhelmed at first. Read More...

BioShock Infinite Has A Release Date
by Matt Waitt [ Friday, 2nd of March 2012 - 11:12 PM ]
The guys over at Irrational Games have just put up a write up on their website that quite simply says "BioShock Infinite Release Date Announced." Excuse me while I go squeal like a little school girl at a Justin Beiber concert. Ladies and gentlemen it gives me great honor to announce to you guys that the release date of BioShock Infinite is October 16th, 2012 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Mark your calendars, quit your jobs, and put your social lives on hold. Ken Levine said that "After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition…BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can't wait for fans to get their hands on it. That's One Brutal Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Trailer!
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 27th of February 2012 - 11:42 PM ]
So, I just finished watching the new "Brutal" Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City trailer and it has sparked my imagination, surprisingly. I want to know what was the most brutal, misanthropic, hellish and death splattered concrete path you've ever taken in a video game. Did you sit in front of a grunt in Halo and cackle maniacally as you emptied clip after clip of assault rifle ammo into its lifeless corpse and watch your frame rate drop hysterically due to the massive amounts of blood? Did you play Splatterhouse? That's a treat in its own right. Read More...

We Are Already Getting Schooled In Twisted Metal
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of February 2012 - 06:38 PM ]
For those of you lucky enough to be able to get into the Twisted Metal demo and go into multiplayer you've probably seen a few people in there who are just trouncing everyone. Do you wonder how they are doing it besides making the assumption that they are testers? Or do you just want to know the ins and outs of the game before it launches on Tuesday? Well let's go to the Twisted Metal University and learn these tricks of the trade. Below you will see the first two, of what I am assuming to be a few more, videos that showcase some of the controls and tactics of the vehicles in the game. Read More...

LittleBigPlanet Karting Confirmed By Sony
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 11th of February 2012 - 07:17 PM ]
So correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Sony already had a title that was pretty much LittleBigPlanet Karting. Or at least what one can assume that LBPK will be all about. You know a little game called ModNation Racers. A racing game that also focuses on the ability to Play, Create and Share. So what is up with this new announcement? I will say that it may be a little premature to judge LittleBigPlanet Karting as being pretty much the same thing since there has yet to be anything other than the announcement as of yet. I mean, it could be something completely different and is just in a similar genre. Read More...

Here's Why You Should Get The Darkness II
by Matt Waitt [ Thursday, 9th of February 2012 - 05:52 PM ]
With the recent release of The Darkness II, I feel obligated to convince you guys to give this game a shot. I recently had a conference Q&A with the developers of The Darkness II. It was a fun and exciting new experience for me to sit down and listen to what challenges they faced while making the game and what are their personal favorites about the game. The Darkness II takes place two years after the first game, Jackie has gone from a mob hit man to the don of the family. Jackie has had the Darkness subdued for a couple years until he is attacked by an organization called "The Brotherhood" who know all of the Darkness' strengths and its weakness. Read More...

The Tester Season 3: Episode 1 - Lessons Attention Whoring
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of February 2012 - 06:58 PM ]
So here we go with Season 3 of PlayStation's The Tester. The first episode just hit the web and through every other medium that Sony wants us to watch it through. As promised in every other article about this show, I will give you my personal overview of the episode and things to look at for yourself. Hells, maybe even a reason on why not to watch at all or the converse. In any instance, let's move on before the title alone clouds your judgment. Read More...
