THQ has recently announced a "Game Of The Year" type package for Saints Row: The Third. Simply called "Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package" for a price of $49.99. Criterion released a new game play trailer this week showcasing some new single player features in Need For Speed Most Wanted. One feature that really stood out was the ability to modify your car’s performance parts on the fly. Some of the modifications that can be made to your car include a reinforced chaise to help you take down your rivals and a nitrous boost to leave other racers in the dust. If the cops are on your tail you can foil their tactics by equipping re-inflating tires to be able to run over spike strips or equip impact protection to your car to blast through their roadblocks. EA has released the single player footage from Gamescom to the public. The footage is five minutes and shows off some white knuckle racing and new features such as the new Autolog and the new Jack Spot feature. The Jack Spot feature is simple if you find a parked car just press Y to jump right in and add it to your collection of cars. Square Enix has announced a new game mode at Gamescom called Contracts for the upcoming Hitman: Absolution. Contracts mode is a unique multiplayer mode in which you create your own hits and challenge your friends to complete them. It works by selecting a level and a target. While creating your hit you can pick up to three targets that can be any NPCs in the level. The player can choose the stipulations of the hit such as what weapons and disguises are allowed to be used. You will be able to take on other player’s hits to earn money and new equipment. Criterion has released the full multiplayer trailer for Need For Speed Most Wanted at Gamescom. The trailer shows that the multiplayer will be filled with multiple challenges that you can face your friends with. The challenges include jump, takedown and drift. Most Wanted’s multiplayer will support up to 12 players and will feature free roam. Just as Criterion has said in the past the game will have no lobbies and will have players meet up between events. This feature will eliminate any waiting and will always have you driving and exploring Fairhaven City. Read More...

Harmonix has announced the full set list for the upcoming Rock Band Blitz. Rock Band Blitz is the first game to ditch the plastic instruments of past games in the series. If you don’t know what to expect from Rock Band Blitz it’s a beat matching game much like Amplitude or Audio Surf. Below is the full set list of 25 songs that will come with the game. For all those lovers of classic action games or side scrolling RPGs; look no further than A Valley Without Wind. When I spoke with the developers from Arcen Games at PAX East last April, they had said they loved the old 2D actioners like Super Metroid, Castlevania and so on. Last year we got to see a very behind closed doors presentation of the new Star Trek game. So closed doors I had to wait until an embargo lifted after E3 2011 to talk about it. This year was quite the opposite. In fact while I was leaving my appointment from seeing Borderlands 2 I took a wrong turn on the show floor and ended up walking down a corridor from the Enterprise leading into a transporter room where myself and a plethora of other fans were whisked away to see the presentation. Talk about a title I wish I would have had a chance to get some real hands on with at E3. Hitman: Absolution ranks right up there with Tomb Raider in level of excitement for Square Enix titles coming out. While it was on the show floor, there was not enough time in the day to play it but I did get to sit through a pretty cool demo that was geared towards showing some of the cool stuff we will get to have Agent 47 do. First and foremost I have to mention the visuals of the game.
