Brett Favre announced at the end of his recent appearance on Letterman that he will be on the cover of Madden NFL '09, the franchise's 20th installment. Brett Favre is a 3 time MVP, a 7 time Pro Bowl selection and 2007's Sports Illustrated Sportsman Of The Year. Favre also lays claim to many NFL records, to include Career Passing Touchdowns (with 442) and Career Passing Yards (with 61,655). This is one of the NFL's greatest honors, but also one of the most cursed for active players as almost all the prior cover athletes have been injured or poor performances during the season they were on the cover. Michael Vick, Donovan McNabb, and Daunte Culpepper are among the few that had season ending injuries while featured on the cover of Madden. Read More...

More Good Stuff For MGO So it looks like my hopes for this are actually right for once. Here's another video that shows that the debacle with Konami and getting this whole thing set up should be worth it all. The video here is actual game play from a bunch of people in Japan. Now the Open Test is pushed back to about a year after their initial release date. I was not as shocked as all the other sites out there that saw this already. I figured it would be. So anyone not in the Closed Beta can sit tight until Fall of this year before we hear they are pushing it back again. NES Case Mod Into NES Cartridge At first when I saw this, it looked like some one had just destroyed a NES Cartridge. Then I delved deeper into what actually went down. They actually took all the insides of the NES system and stuffed it into the Super Mario Cartridge. Apparently this is possible even with the size of the original case of the NES. Makes you wonder why they needed so much space in the older versions of the system. I almost want to buy an old system and such just to try this out. Read More...
