Now We Get To Escape Dead Island While We Wait For Dead Island 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Deep Silver has just announced Escape Dead Island, a third-person survival mystery take on the Dead Island franchise from Fatshark Just in case you couldn't wait for some hardcore zombie killing action in Dead Island 2 or Dying Light (Coming 2015™), Deep Silver and Fatshark are bringing us yet another zombie slaying game of sorts with Escape Dead Island. It's not just zombie killing and surviving, but also a game about solving the mystery of what caused the outbreak and keeping your own sanity in the middle of this world crushing event. Also to deviate from the normal Dead Island type of formula is that Escape Dead Island will be in third-person view and with a graphic novel art style instead of the more realistic we are used to. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 14th of June 2014 - 01:01 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming This has been one insane week and we have tried to cover everything we could for E3 and all of the news, announcements, and everything in gaming. There is still a whole load of impressions and hands on we are still trying to churn out so you can get a feel for what you may have missed or didn't have the chance to actually play. There were fewer hands on with games in general but there was a plethora of all things we can expect in the world of gaming. We were so very lucky to have been able to sit through all of the press conferences and able to give you all the ability to watch as the gaming news came flying in. Read More...

E3 2014 Impressions: Dead Island 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of June 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
While At E3 I Got To See Dead Island 2 In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It Ah Dead Island 2, now here is a title I can completely get behind and that was based just on the trailer that announced that the game was coming. Who doesn't like a little zombie killing action in a non-depressing yet not-over-the-top comedic way? More or less the balance between The Walking Dead and Dead Rising in terms of tone and mood. Yes, the previous titles were not all that well received but I blame that on other critics not know what is truly good for them to unwind and eviscerate. Read More...

Deep Silver Knocks It Out With Another Amazing Trailer For Dead Island 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of June 2014 - 07:35 PM ]
Dead Island 2 was announced at the Sony press conference and just as before it came with an amazing trailer to show it all off If I had to say one thing that Deep Silver does insanely well it has to be trailers for games and they did it again for Dead Island 2. If you were unable to catch the trailer in the middle of the Sony press conference out here at E3 then you are in luck as I have included it below for your viewing pleasure. It will also save you the time of having to scrub through the recap of the press conference just for the Dead Island 2 trailer so there is that as well. But enough of the sucking up. Read More...

Telltale games has just announced that The Walking Dead Season 1, Season 2, and The Wolf Among Us will be coming to next gen consoles Mark this down under not-to-shocking-news as it looks like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us from Telltale will be making the jump to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. That is both Season One and Season Two of The Walking Dead as well not just the most recent season. This is all in physical form for both the PS4 and XB1 for all three and also the PS3 and 360 for the titles that have yet to have a physical disc for those consoles. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 21st of May 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Walking Dead Season 2 - In Harm's Way. It's The Third Episode. Does It Keep The Steamroller Of A Franchise Rolling? Here we go with the hump section of The Walking Dead: Season 2. We've hit the midsection of this season for the game and it should be 'all downhill' from here. Pun intended and hopeful. There is a lot riding on the season as well as the franchise here but has it fully delivered? Read More...

The Walking Dead Season Two Episode 3 Will Be Out Next Week
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of May 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Season Two Episode 3 has a new trailer and is slated to be on all platforms/markets next week. It boggles my mind sometimes on how Telltale likes to keep their new releases so secret until they do what they just did with The Walking Dead Season Two Episode 3. Just like all of their other titles they wait until the week before to put out a trailer for the game, claim it is coming soon, and then give a solid date for five to seven days later. I've said it before that we should be used to it but it just sticks in my craw that much that it bugs me enough to complain. For now let us get to the new trailer for The Walking Dead S2E3. Fear For Clementine With The News Screens For The Walking Dead: Episode 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of May 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
There are some new teaser images for The Walking Dead episode 3 and it looks like Clem may be in peril. Up until now with The Walking Dead from Telltale we have been on edge for our little protagonist's wellbeing. The entire first season of the episodic game was all about making sure she was safe and sound and now that we have control of her in season two we are in direct control of that. With these latest teaser images for episode three of the second season it looks like Clem may be in a lot more harm's way than before. Ok, well maybe not so much for Clem as the whole of The Walking Dead would crumble if the main protagonist up and died but that doesn't mean she can't be maimed. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 3/10/14 — 3/14/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of March 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. This has really been the week of reviews in gaming hasn't it? We reviewed Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2, The Walking Dead — S2E2, South Park: The Stick Of Truth, and Race The Sun. There are still more in the pipe at that but it has been one crazy week of reviews for all of you to ingest and get our informed opinion about the games that matter right now. Reviews aside, there have been some interesting developments for Mirror's Edge 2 and Tales From The Borderlands at that. I still can't believe that there is a rumor that ME2 is going to reboot the entire franchise yet still carry the numbered title. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of March 2014 - 05:02 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Walking Dead Season 2 - A House Divided. It's The Second Episode. Does It Keep The Steamroller Of A Franchise Rolling? The short wait is over and it is time to continue where Episode One left our little group of survivors in the middle of the end of times. There is a lot going on this time around as the 'villain' of the season has been presented and taken a leading role. Here we go with a hopefully spoiler free review of this episode. Should you be downloading and playing through it right now even with all of the other great titles out? Read More...

Looks Like The Last Of Us Is Going To Hit The Big Screen
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of March 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Reports are in that Screen Gems and Sam Raimi will be bringing The Last Of Us to the big screen. How excited are we now? File this new The Last Of Us news under the most amazing thing I could have heard and hope is 100% confirmed. What is it? That Sam Raimi, Ghost House Pictures, and Screen Gems is working on bringing The Last Of Us to the big screen. One of the best parts of the game, that being the story, will now be placed on a medium that will let everyone, gamer or not, to enjoy what I thought was one of the best stories I have had the pleasure to play through. But let's move onto what is known as of right not and not all of my hype. Read More...

Also the new episode will release on March 4th Well that didn't take too long for Telltale to get the next episode for The Walking Dead out. Just under three months and we are continuing the saga of Clementine and the undead. Hopefully we will get an answer to the cliffhanger of who she thought was dead in the first episode. by Julia Schoebel [ Monday, 3rd of February 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
A new NSFW trailer for The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 title Smoke & Mirrors has surfaced. Are you looking forward to the new episode? As has been announced, episode two of The Wolf Among Us is coming to our chosen platforms and countries this week. Any who have played the first episode or have read ahead on the game should know that it is titled Smoke & Mirrors. At least that is the hope although it doesn't look like we will be hoping too much given the below trailer for the new episode. Read More...

Review: The Walking Dead Season 2 - All That Remains
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of January 2014 - 06:38 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Walking Dead Season 2 - All That Remains. It's The First Episode But Does It Keep The Steamroller Of A Franchise Rolling? I've finally had time to digest the events of the first episode of the second season of The Walking Dead from Telltale. It's been over a year coming and we now get to see what happens to the adorable little Clementine and the survivors of the previous season even though those numbers were running pretty low at the end. So let's jump in and see if the wait was worth it. If there seems to be description missing that is due to trying to keep this as spoiler free as possible. Read More...
