Just as with Telltale's last blockbuster title, The Walking Dead, we have another new 'point and click' storytelling adventure with The Wolf Among Us. I am back with another update on Telltale's next epic episodic game series The Wolf Among Us. Telltale has announced that the first episode of The Wolf Among Us will be available on the Xbox 360, PC and Mac on October 11th. Telltale did not mention a PS3 release date but did say that it should be out a few days after the other platforms. I'm going to guess October 15th as that will be the day of the next PSN update. Telltale has confirmed that their new game, The Wolf Among Us, is now open for pre-order. Telltale did not mention a release date but did say the game will be out by the end of October. A season pass will set you back $24.99 but you can nab it for a discounted price of $22.49 through Steam and Telltale’s official website. If you purchase through Telltale you will receive a making of DVD at the end of the season although shipping will be on you. The Walking Dead from Telltale has been out for some time now for every device with one of the most recent being the PS Vita. Now I know what you are thinking "is there a reason I should get the game again?" Well with the PS Vita comes a few extra hardware additions that just were not available on the console or PC so let's dig in and see if your third or fourth play through will be worth it on Sony's handheld device. Just in case you were still worried about the overall tone of Dead Rising 3 still being "too serious" and you've missed all the Twitter chatter about the game still having its light hearted side, then do I have a trailer for you. So with Techland working on Dying Light it kind of surprises me to hear about Dead Island: Epidemic. Just how do they have the time? Oh wait a second…they aren't working on this. Just as last year, The Walking Dead Escape was back with a vengeance at Petco Park during the San Diego Comic Con. For the uninitiated this is an event where a good portion of the sports arena in San Diego was converted into an obstacle course in the theme of AMC's The Walking Dead. It really allows for people to really test their mettle and some of their survival skills to brag that they could survive the initial zombie outbreak. I was lucky enough to get to run the course again this year and what I found interesting was that most people I ran with compared the experience to most of the action zombie video games on the market today. Granted we were not allowed to attack the zombies in the run, but I would have to agree with the sentiment as there has been a push in the industry with Outlast and Dying Light this year. If you are looking forward to Deadpool: The Game then you will be happy to know that there is now a release date as well as pre-order bonuses galore for all of us. There are also a few more screen shots of the game but nothing overly revealing or special in terms of news or features. This is starting to concern me as we are approaching the release date quickly and for the most part we have no clue how the game is going to play, only how it is going to look. Big news in the world of witty cross-over card game simulators. Telltale Games has recently announced that Poker Night at the Inventory is getting a sequel. According to the Telltale's website, “Poker Night 2 is the unnecessary sequel to Poker Night at the Inventory! In the original game you played poker with a bunch of weirdoes for fame and fortune Team Fortress 2 items and the satisfaction of beating the odds.” The original game had you playing against Max from Sam&Max, Strong Bad from Homestar Runner, The Heavy from Team Fortress 2, and Tycho from Penny Arcade. Firstly, we have the recently re-announced Saints Row 4 from Volition and their new owners Deep Silver. Nothing about this game aside from the release date and a fluff trailer has been shown.
