Never Been a Better Time to Survive in '09
by Brian Bentley [ Friday, 1st of May 2009 - 07:32 PM ]
The best co-op game I played last year was Left4Dead and if you were among the few PC gamers that did not purchase this title, this is the perfect opportunity for you to try it, then buy it.  All day Friday, you are able to download Left4Dead on Steam and play the entire game including the recently released Survival mode.  After you try and fall in love with the game (as I know you will), you have all weekend to purchase it through Steam at 40% off.   Left4Dead is a cooperative experience where four players are challenged through an array of campaigns attempting to escape the zombie apocalypse and make it safety. Almost Died From Memory
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of April 2009 - 05:21 PM ]
More Dead Space Extraction Screens Just when the buzz started to die down about this Wii Rail Shooter, Dead Space: Extraction, EA throws a few more screen shots out at us. Not the best way to generate that buzz back up about the game, but it is a good way to keep the slight vibrations of it going just a little bit longer until the big pay off. I know where all of your minds just went with that last sentence there. Don't deny. Read More...

For The....Seals!!
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 9th of April 2009 - 06:03 AM ]
Alright you animal loving people out there especially those who play the lovely game of World of Warcraft. This Saturday the lovely group of peta has set up an event on the WhisperWind realm at the Howling Fjord area to help stop the killing of….seals??  “Thrall refused to ban the slaughter of seals, despite multiple requests from the Alliance to do so, because Orgrimmar stands to make a large profit from the fur.  Activists from across the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor are banding together to put a stop to the atrocious seal slaughter.” Just recently the Canadian government has started their killing on seals, which means sealers are free to kill up to 338,200 of these harmless creatures. French Please?
by Binh Nguyen [ Saturday, 4th of April 2009 - 10:43 AM ]
So how would you like to play a game that speaks only French? Imagine seeing “Qu’est-ce que tu fais ici, vous stupid idiot!” (What the hell are you doing here you stupid idiot, and you thought reading this you wouldn’t learn anything) Well in Quebec you can. You heard that right, according to the Toronto Star, as of April 1st (and no this is not April fool joke…) Quebec passed a law to prohibit sales of new English-only video in Quebec if a French version is available. Because of this law retailers and gamers will have to wait for new releases to come to Quebec due to developers having to spend extra time to make the games French only. “I’m afraid it’s going to cost me my business” said Ronnie Rondeau, co-owner of Game Buzz around Montreal, “If it really was going to make a difference, I’d be for it, but only a small number of people want to play in French. Review of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures Episode I: The Fright of the Bumblebees
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 24th of March 2009 - 10:47 PM ]
Telltale Games has a formula for success and this time they have added a British compound to their already stellar lineup of point-and-click, episodic games (Sam&Max, Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People).  Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Adventures begins its four episode run today with “Fright of the Bumblebees.”  Wallace and Gromit are the main characters of a British animated series developed by Nick Price of Aardman Animations.  Using stop-motion clay animation, the series depicts Wallace, an absent-minded inventor, and his silent, faithful companion Gromit. OutRun Online
by Kevin [ Wednesday, 18th of March 2009 - 01:04 AM ]
For American Xbox 360 owners, and European PS3 owners, June 30th is going to bring a gem to the arcade scene of Live and PSN. It's OutRun Online, an online speed-fest based on OutRun 2006, with 15 courses, and support of online head-to-head play for six players. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ou1fJ6CoRcIOutRun has long since been a favorite of mine and I would say it, arguably, influenced many other games in the genre with its approach to racing. If you aren't familiar with the series, it will be a great time to get aquainted. It's looking pretty good for an arcade title. Read More...

Talk About Being Effed Out
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 16th of March 2009 - 10:46 PM ]
HOUSE OF THE DEAD: OVERKILL BREAKS [AN EFFIN'] RECORD FOR THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS GAMER'S EDITION Now this is a feat if I say so myself. Not the getting into the Guinness World Records book, especially since there is the Gamer's Edition. That would make it kind of moot to say that a game made it in. But in this instance, it isn't just making it in, it is the reason behind getting listed in the book. It is an effing awesome reason too. Read More...

Screens From Xbox's Ninja Blade Who doesn't like Ninjas? Besides maybe Pirates, or Robots, or Zombies. Okay, well there is a small list there that might not like them. But you know what they can't not like about Ninjas, these new screens for the game Ninja Blade. Ok, well maybe they can because they don't have a new game coming out. But now I'm just rambling on. In any instance, the below images do a great job of showing off the style and look of the new game due out in a about a month or so. Read More...

The Organizers Target Us With More Shots
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of March 2009 - 05:55 PM ]
More To View On Platinum Games' Mad World With the launch of this game just around the corner, as in a few days (March 10th), the people over at Sega and Platinum Games have decided to tantalize all of us who are waiting for this game with some more in game shots. Which is odd because you would think there would be another launch video to get everyone pumped about this Wii Hack 'n Slash full of blood and gore. But beggars can't be choosers I guess. Even though it is all in Black, White, and Red they still make this game to look like yet another hidden classic on the Wii. Read More...
