Star Wars We are going to get to become a new legend in the Star Wars if we are able to speed our way to the end of Star Wars: Galactic Racer If you thought that Star Wars: Galactic Racer was just going to be all racing and no story, well, you're going to be shown why you are wrong about all of that. It does look as if Fuse Games and Secret Mode have opted to make sure this is not just a game about racing, but something that will add to the overall story and lore of the universe. Star Trek The Star Trek universe is getting a little dark, with the announcement of the horror title Star Trek: Shadow Frontier It is time to mark down a title I never thought we would see in the IP, but here we go with Star Trek: Shadow Frontier. Not that I thought this was based on anything before now, but more that we are getting a true horror title in the universe and from Bloober Team, along with Paramount Games. An IP that's always been known to stay closer to the positive and happier side of exploration is now heading into something that seems truly dark out there. Kingdom Hearts The world of Kingdom Hearts is coming into a real setting with the latest teaser that we have for Kingdom Hearts IV After four years of waiting, we finally have a new thing to be teased about when it comes to Kingdom Hearts IV. Not only did Square Enix give us so little before that we have had to speculate and dream about what the game could be, but then they made us wait so long to get something new. The gall to do that. Star Wars The gameplay for Star Wars Zero Company takes center stage, as we finally get to see a bit of how Star Wars Zero Company will handle It looks as if every move we make in Star Wars Zero Company needs to count, as long as we want to master the gameplay that will be heading our way. That feels a bit like a given, but it's something that Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment are hammering home in the latest gameplay we have to look at. Since Star Wars Zero Company does land on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this August 27th, I'd venture a guess it will be good to know what is on the way. SAW A new title in the SAW IP is on the way to us, with the announcement of SAW: Genesis taking us into The Great War Even though the film side of things seems to be in a weird limbo, the video game side of things got a little bit of a surprise with SAW: Genesis getting announced. A new and interesting entry into the IP with Anshar Studios and Bloober Team coming together to bring it all to the PC. Not the exact set of teams I was expecting, yet still the teams that I have a feeling have a good chance of doing it correctly. Final Fantasy The conclusion to the Final Fantasy VII Remake saga is almost here, with the official reveal and gameplay for Final Fantasy VII Revelation The teasing is finally over, and we now have the announcement for Final Fantasy VII Revelation. The third and final part of the remake run that Square Enix has been taking their time with. The one that will bring us so many things we've been waiting for in terms of characters, world building, and the story. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Even as I am writing this little update, the week is still going strong, and so many video games are getting announced and revealed out there. Partially, as the Summer Game Fest continues on, along with the IGN Live event that will go down over the weekend. Modern Warfare The reveal of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is here, and we have a new location this Modern Warfare will take us It is that time of year, again, and here we go with the announcement for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The next of the main game reveals for the IP with Infinity Ward behind the wheel of it all. One of the better versions of the IP, in my opinion, and it looks as if they are striving to keep that a constant out there. Bloodlines 2 The next DLC for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is on the way, and we will have just a bit more to experience in Bloodlines 2 The night seems to be coming to an end with what was promised for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, as the next announced DLC is about to land. That would be The Flower & The Flame DLC that The Chinese Room announced way back when they took over the project. Fighting Souls More of the Fighting Souls are coming into the mix, with the Knights Of Doom coming for the release date of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls We've had a chance to test out Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, and we are getting so much closer to the final release of the game. A date that we know now Arc System Works is gearing up for August 6th for the PS5 and PC. Just after that sweet spot of showing the game off at SDCC this year, while giving them plenty of time to make sure we know all of the fighters and teams that will be in the mix. Wolverine A new and extended bit of gameplay for Marvel’s Wolverine is here, and it is giving us the Wolverine we have all wanted We knew it was coming, and gods did Insomniac Games deliver on the promise to show us all more for Marvel’s Wolverine. Given that the game is still slated for release on September 15th for the PS5, it makes sense that they would push it all at this point and give us seven minutes of fun gameplay to look at. It is not raw gameplay, but it is something for us to stick our claws into and see how Wolverine is coming to life in this game. God Of War The next part of the God Of War saga has been revealed, with loads of new gameplay for God Of War Laufey It feels like we all knew it was coming, but it still hit so hard with the announcement, reveal, and gameplay we now have for God Of War Laufey. The next title in the saga that Santa Monica Studio is working on, and as the title tells us, it will be a story all about Faye. Not a backstory, specifically, but what happened to her after the scene that we had in the 2018 title. Hands Over A new co-op horror title, Hands Over, is on the way to us all, and Hands Over will test some of those true friendships out there The dark party game trend is coming, as we have Hands Over revealed to us, and it looks as if it is following another trend we have seen in the co-op horror genres as of late. This is the latest title that ArtDock is putting together for us on the PC, and it will have 5 of us sitting around a virtual table, playing random games that seem harmless at first, but always come to a very dark and brutal end for the losers.
