The Latest South Park Episode Wraps Up The Ludicrous Thoughts On The PS4 Vs. Xbox One Console War…In My Opinion A few years ago, around the launch of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, there was a huge controversy over an acronym that was being used as a promotional piece for the game. Fight Against Grenade Spam was the tag for those that don't remember. They caught a lot of flak for it from the media and at about the same time the brains over at South Park Studios put out an episode, The F Word, which summed up my feelings on the matter. As we move into the new consoles coming out here in a matter of days, one for the PlayStation 4 and eight for the Xbox One in NA, I have been seeing more and more on this gens 'Console War'. Good news for all you gamers out there who crave an extra challenge with your games. It has been announced that Batman: Arkham Origins will have a new difficulty mode called "I Am The Night" mode. This mode will only unlock after you have beaten the game not once, but twice. You complete the game once, I am assuming to unlock the second to hardest mode, and then complete the game again on New Game Plus mode. With the below trailer straight out of Gamescom, we are up to five of the eight assassins hunting Batman in Arkham Origins now. There are still loads of other villains, NPCs and sidekicks announced as well, but now we can add Firefly to the list of killers. Also it looks like there might be some pretty damn cool fight/flight scenes mixed in with this new character as well. Keep an eye out in the trailer and you'll most likely see what I am talking about. Well, not that much that we have not seen or heard from E3 will answer that question. It makes sense that Batman: Arkham Origins would be on display at the San Diego Comic Con but you would think that there would be some kind of information dump that wasn't handed out a month prior. I guess it is more about getting the information out to the public directly and not through the filtered lenses of the media. Who knows? Didn't make it to San Diego Comic Con or the South Park: The Stick Of Truth panel? Well we got you covered. Or at least an amazing individual on the internet has you covered in the video aspect and I have you covered in the details as I was there taking notes for you. It should be no surprise that there isn't much in the way of new information since E3, but a few choice questions from fans and during the panel revealed a few tidbits. One of the best things I have heard in a while has to be that there are no plans to force DLC down our throats even though there were some major cuts from the 850+ page script of the game. Both Trey and Matt expressed a hatred for the term and that it was suggested when they had to start culling down the content. Read More...

I have been filled with all kinds of mixed emotions since the announcement of Batman: Arkham Origins. I am a huge fan of the franchise and storyline of the game's world. I am not a fan of most prequels and unfortunately Arkham Origins falls into the prequel world. Usually prequels just feel like the developers wanted to do another title in the franchise but have been written into a corner or need to find a reason to explain why the protagonist is weaker compared to where fans left them. Fortunately for myself, I was granted access to the elusive "behind doors playable demo" of E3 and had a chance to play around with the younger version of Batman.
