Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - Ultimate Character Reveal (Spider-Man)
by Jesse [ Thursday, 27th of August 2009 - 11:22 AM ]
Spider-Man is easily one of the most iconic superheroes ever created. Since being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker’s life has become a roller coaster ride of mammoth proportions. Living with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, Peter grew up trying to live by Ben’s example of great power and great responsibility. Peter was still a high school student when he first dawned a costume and has gone on to battle against such deadly enemies as Venom, Doctor Octopus, Kraven, and on and on. His most bitter enemy though, the Green Goblin, is a villain who will forever be known to Peter as he was the man responsible for killing Peter’s love Gwen Stacy. Read More…

Everything I Needed to Know in Life I Learned from my Atari 2600
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 27th of August 2009 - 03:58 AM ]
There have been countless books about self-help and what you learned in Kindergarten is all you needed to know and some Dr. Phil mumbo jumbo. I’ll tell you where I learned all I needed to know: Atari 2600. I put a ridiculous amount of time and energy into untold numbers of games and they taught me some valuable life lessons. Failure is not the end, but an opportunity. One of the first things you learned when you began playing the Atari 2600: the reset button is your friend. Read More…

It\'s About Time To Get Wet
by Kevin [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2009 - 10:36 PM ]
One of the more curious titles of the year has presented a demo for PS3 owners and Xbox owners. For the uninitiated, Wet is an action game that combines shooting and swordplay with all kinds of crazy acrobatics. The main character, Rubi voiced by Elisha Dushku, carries twin pistols and a sword and does all of the fun filled John Woo-esque moves that have become standard fare in most action titles these days. One of the better elements of the gunplay is that she automatically target an additional enemy which allows some ease and versatility with your firefight strategy. She also has the ability to fuse attacks together, and your acrobatics aren't limited to flipping off of a wall, but you can substitute a person instead of the aformentioned wall. Read More…

Hey Look At Me! I'm Climbing A Bridge!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2009 - 08:23 PM ]
The Saboteur Screen Shots So The Saboteur tried to sneak by with a quiet showing of the game. Either because they were drowned out by al the Blizzcon news and other GamesCom news that was all a flutter. But you know what? We at AggroGamer here caught these sneaks trying to get past everyone's view. We caught the game in action here and we caught it red handed. Climbing, driving and sneaking on the peripherals of everyone's views. Read More…

Manhunting For Rumors
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2009 - 03:48 PM ]
Manhunt 2 PC Rated AO Who wants to play Manhunt 2 the way it was originally designed to be played? You know the version that originally netted the game and AO (Adults Only) rating way back in October of 2007. The version that was deemed so violent, raunchy, and filthy that it was banned in a few countries and had to undergo massive censorships to be made into a M (Mature) rated game. I know I do. Maybe it would be the game everyone was hoping for. Read More…

PS3 Slim Review
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2009 - 11:07 AM ]
So the 120gb PS3 Slim is out, how does it compare to the older, fatter, more mature PS3? Well the first thing I noticed was, “Damn, that box is a lot smaller than my old PS3's box”. The next thing I noticed was, “Damn, this is a lot lighter than my old PS3.” The lighter, smaller PS3 is a little wider than the old PS3, but it's slightly wider girth is greatly overshadowed by the smaller height, the lower profile, and the overall sleek, matte black, design. The PS3 sports a new 45nm processor, which, technical differences which I will not get into aside, requires less power. The power cord itself is just a standard unpolarized C8 cord (non-technical term: the same one the PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, SNES, NES, 3DO, etc all use), as opposed to the beefier C13 (aka IEC, nontechnical term: the one that your PC, monitor, and TV use) that the older PS3 uses. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - Ultimate Character Reveal (Ms. Marvel)
by Jesse [ Tuesday, 25th of August 2009 - 11:27 PM ]
Growing up as the only daughter of a large family, Carol Danvers was always a bright and capable young lady who was also fiercely independent. While her father would have had her find a husband and settle down, Carol defied him by joining the United States Air Force after she graduated from high school. She grew to become an extremely skilled fighter pilot which caught the eye of the CIA. She was recruited and trained as a field agent. Read More…

Command & Conquer™ 4 Fact Sheet You want updated facts for Command & Conquer 4? We got the cold hard facts about the final game in the franchise. Well most likely final chapter in this story of the franchise. But still, we have all the factsy goodness and screen shots to add a bit to the anticipation of the game. Still have about a year to wait for it, so why not? These features being the case in point on why I say it is only the end of the story and not to all things Command & Conquer. Read More…

Co-Op Hack and Slash Gets a Penalty
by Kevin [ Tuesday, 25th of August 2009 - 07:22 PM ]
DataBox Games: Nine guys in their mid-20s on an island off Sweden. They are all attending Gotland University and working on their final thesis for their Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. Why is this important? Because much like the current wave of independent titles that flood the Xbox Marketplace - they are just a bunch of people with a love for games trying to deliver a unique experience. They don't have a major machine behind them, but they have a passion for crafting something that we can all get into and as such are definitely worth promoting around these parts. The game that they are currently working on is Penalty of Heroes, which I believe is their 26th title; most of the previous 25 have been made in ten weeks or less and have more fun crammed into them then a great majority of bigger budget titles. Pyro Studios Making A New Commandos Game!
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 25th of August 2009 - 03:16 PM ]
Well it's about time...Pyro Studios, creators of the famed Commandos series, is set to release a new Commandos game more in line with the first title in this WWII strategy franchise. How many of you recall the critically low scoring FPS shooter that was Commandos: Strike Force? Yeah, even Pyro Studios was less than enthusiastic about the title. Well, players will be happy to know that this time around they are going to be bringing back all the tactical gameplay that players knew and loved. No word as to how much Commandos publisher Eidos will be involved. Read More…

Time To Clean Up Arkham
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of August 2009 - 01:38 PM ]
Batman: Arkham Asylum - Release Trailer Just in time for the official release date, in North America, come what will be the coolest looking trailer/advertisement for Batman Arkham Asylum to date. Even better than the sing skeleton video they have showing off the Scarecrow DLC you get for pre-ordering at GameStop. Albeit, not as funny, but it is one of the best views of the game that the general public will get a look at before they actually get to pick up the game. Even more so earlier for those across the big blue ocean to the East, they have to wait a few more days to have the Caped Crusader on their systems. Read More…

Not Your Normal Avatar
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of August 2009 - 01:48 AM ]
James Cameron's Avatar - Screens and Video We've all been bored with the speculation. We've all been bored with the waiting for any information about this game. We've all been bored by listening to James Cameron babble on about what may or may not be included in the game for his next big block buster. Can you honestly say you were not bored and let down by everything that came up about Avatar before the huge trailer showing at Comic Con? I didn't think so. Read More…

Nintendo DLC for the Week of 8/24
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 24th of August 2009 - 10:17 PM ]
For the first time in more than a few weeks, Nintendo's weekly release of downloadable content (DLC) has spiked my interest. Believe me, this is for just more than a Star Wars game. Though I cannot play it myself, as I do not own a DSi, it finally looks like someone may have released a game on the DSiWare service that may be worth the DSi Points spent. Pop+ Solo for 500 DSi Points, from the screens and videos, looks like an excellent bite-size value for $5. Small and portable, the game fits into the kind of lifestyle you would expect from a DSiWare game you would always have on hand. Read More…
