Slavers Are Not The Only Enemy In Enslaved
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of September 2010 - 06:57 PM ]
That is something that you should have already known though if you've followed Enslaved: Odyssey to the West with a fraction of the attention I have. But I figured that I would hook you all up with the new look at the robots that will be the main enemies for Monkey and Trip as they venture west to get Trip back home. It is getting even closer to the Terminator, and most likely our own, future will be in the number of robots that will control humans. You know it will happen even with all of our warning movies and stories. Read More...

Get Enslaved By These New Screens And DLC Announcements
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of September 2010 - 09:51 PM ]
As I said back at Gamescom, my interest was just starting to come around for Enslaved: Odyssey To The West after seeing the actual game footage there. It was something truly attention catching and these new screen and clips nail your eyes lids to the game while a 300 lbs. midget sits on the back of your head keeping your eyes focused on nothing but. (Read: I think it looks super keen.) While below you may only start out seeing screen shots of how the game will visually look, which is not too shabby, the video shows a bit of how the combat system will flow and how the game will play out. Time To Go Back To The Future
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of September 2010 - 03:42 PM ]
I think Telltale Games took the DeLorean the wrong way through the time stream. Instead of going back and making a huge game based off the franchise back in the late 80's and early 90's, they went forward and decided to make a game 20 years after the last film hit theaters. That is, if it somehow came out before the end of the year. That just seems like the wrong way to do things. What they did do right though is snagged one of the guys who wrote the scripts from the classic films and also grabbed the great Christopher Lloyd to actually voice Doc Brown. Read More...

Enslaved Went West To Gamescom And Showed The Goods
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 21st of August 2010 - 08:56 PM ]
Up until now, I have been only mildly interested in Enslaved: Odyssey To The West. It has an okay concept, but the screens, clips and hands-on I have seen or had up until now have done nothing to overly impress me. Please notice how I said "up until now." If you look back, you'll see it in the sentence prior. We were given a really great look at where the game has progressed to so far and it feels and looks like a whole new game to me. I know it isn't literally, but like I said, what I saw before didn't "Wow" me. Read More...

Torchlight II Teaser Causing Salivation
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 19th of August 2010 - 09:14 PM ]
With the crazy amount of news coming out of Gamescom this year, even a little teaser trailer of the recently announced Torchlight 2 is generating plenty of buzz. Besides showing some outdoor environments, there really isn't a whole lot shown here, but the teaser did absolutely everything it needed to accomplish - raise the level of excitement and anticipation. I think our very own Corey Dockendorf demonstrated the proof in the pudding when he instant messaged me shortly after watching the trailer: "The new levels look pretty epic. If you all don't play with me, I'm gonna be pissed. Read More...

Looks like players of Lord of the Rings Online will not have to wait much longer for the highly anticipated Free-to-Play content update. Today it was announced that Turbine will be releasing the update on September 10th. The entire free-to-play structure has been under close scrutiny by fans and the press alike. In response to that, Turbine has conducted a fairly long beta test of the new material. The update is not made up of just the new economic model. Read More...

Runic Games Announces Torchlight II
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 4th of August 2010 - 03:58 PM ]
Today via Twitter, Runic Games announced the highly anticipated sequel to last year's hit action-RPG, Torchlight. While only a teaser website today, Torchlight II looks to bring everything that made the original successful, build upon it and enable co-op game play. New classes to play, new TorchEd modification editor and a new user interface are just a few of the features already listed for Torchlight II. Did I mention Co-Op multiplayer? I was a big fan of Torchlight and while the fans (myself included) patiently wait for Torchlight MMO; this will definitely tide us over until then. Read More...

Zurg Invasion of Toy Story 3 Video Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of June 2010 - 12:56 PM ]
No, I'm not talking the Zerg from Starcraft. They spell their name with an 'u' and not an 'e'. Not to mention they are a lot less "emperor"y. So if you are still thinking that, then you need to re-watch the films or the below video clip. A clip that shows how you will be able to play Buzz's archenemy in the PS3 version of Toy Story 3: The Video Game. It is no surprise, since it was announced a while ago, that Zurg will be playable in the PS3 version of Toy Story 3. But what was not fully touched on was how playable he is. Read More...

Review: Alpha Protocol
by Kevin [ Thursday, 3rd of June 2010 - 10:56 PM ]
There were few games I was looking forward to this year more than Alpha Protocol. With every new video and image released I thought the customization, character interaction and apparent polish on the title would really push it to the top of my "gotta play" list. I felt like Obsidian Entertainment wouldn't disappoint, with their history of working on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II and Neverwinter Nights 2. This was their time to make an original IP, and though the game was wrought with delays and false starts, here we are. So, while we're here – what exactly do we have? Read More...
