Review: Alpha Protocol
by Kevin [ Thursday, 3rd of June 2010 - 10:56 PM ]
There were few games I was looking forward to this year more than Alpha Protocol. With every new video and image released I thought the customization, character interaction and apparent polish on the title would really push it to the top of my "gotta play" list. I felt like Obsidian Entertainment wouldn't disappoint, with their history of working on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II and Neverwinter Nights 2. This was their time to make an original IP, and though the game was wrought with delays and false starts, here we are. So, while we're here – what exactly do we have? Read More...

Two Worlds II Trailer Debuts
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 04:55 PM ]
TopWare Interactive has just debuted it's latest trailer for Two Worlds II. The sequel to Two Worlds, which at release was labeled as the "clone" of the Oblivion series. Two Worlds was off to a rocky start and very buggy in the beginning. Not to mention the community had very little patience for an epic adventure of this proportion to be that buggy out of the box. Through it all TopWare moved forward and continued working on Two Worlds II to bring the players back to the world of Antaloor. Enhanced AI, balancing standards, experienced authors, an active combat system, theinnovative DEMONS™ magic management, and the PAPAK™ alchemy system guarantee enjoyment for new and experienced gamers. by Kevin [ Monday, 24th of May 2010 - 08:19 PM ]
Well, there's nothing quite like a 50% off coupon for games, and I think we can all agree that when the games available for that deal are actually good then that makes the deal that much sweeter. There are a nice amount games on the list right now and I think after you look over it, you'll be making your way to the website. The list of games includes: Tony Hawk: RIDE Skateboard Bundle NCAA Football 10 Madden NFL 10 Street Fighter IV Resident Evil 5 The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Overlord II Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution DJ Hero Bundle Mercenaries 2: World in Flames Star Ocean: The Last Hope Ghostbusters: The Video Game Infinite Undiscovery Battlefield: Bad Company Batman: Arkham Asylum Where the Wild Things Are Lego Star Wars Complete Saga The Orange Box Army of Two Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 Guitar Hero Metallica NBA 2K10 Spider-Man: Friend or Foe Rock Band Track Pack Classic Rock Guitar Hero: Smash Hits Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar Kit X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged Edition Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Bioshock Spider-Man: Web of Shadows Shaun White Snowboarding Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood FUEL Left 4 Dead 2 Tom Clancy's H. Alpha Protocol REMIX!!!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 21st of May 2010 - 11:41 PM ]
Well now this is an interesting new way to get the word out about Alpha Protocol. Music video/remix style. I am not kidding. Also, before you think it, this is not a fan film for the game either, but something specifically produced from Sega and Obsidian for Alpha Protocol. Silly yes, but it is worth a watch. Kind of catchy if you ask me. Even though it sounds like it is just a long argument over Michael's name. Read More...

Well BulletStorm was fully announced last week with a few nice shots and a video showing it of; Not to mention all the press of Cliff Bleszinski going crazy over all media outlets about it. He likes to talk and let people know what he thinks doesn't he? But I'm side tracking now. His socializing online isn't what is going on here. What is going on here though is that we have scrounged up some new screen shots from EA for BulletStorm. Well at least mostly new. Read More...

10 Things You Ought To Know: Final Fantasy XIII
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 11th of May 2010 - 06:18 PM ]
It has been two months since the release of Final Fantasy XIII on the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. Some – including myself – were among the many people who began playing on release day, just clamoring for the return to the Final Fantasy series. Meanwhile, others lost interest in the game or are saving the experience in order to play titles that were released around the same time (read: God Of War III). I’ve compiled a list of things to remember about the game as you ready yourself for a 60+ hour dive into this mammoth role playing game. The voice acting is not movie quality. Read More...

They have created a “Win a Trip to E3 2010” contest and all they want you to do is create an open letter video to Kevin Butler, you know everyone favorite fictional Playstation VP in the commercials. Here is the guideline: Each video should begin with the phrase “Dear Playstation” Include your take on Kevin Butler's ever-changing title Make sure you include your own name and title (e.g John Smith, Desperate Fan) Keep your submissions brief and to the point (30 seconds or less) Video can be about anything Playstation related All content must be original – no copyrighted music, video, pictures, etc. Read More...

Review: Dead to Rights: Retribution
by Kevin [ Monday, 3rd of May 2010 - 05:35 PM ]
Dead to Rights: Retribution is a third person action title following vice cop Jack Slate and his groin-ravaging, canine companion Shadow as they uncover the seedier threats that are rising against an already seedy Grant City. Essentially, it is a re-imagining of the franchise that began with very basic, but very fun run and gun gameplay with a hint of John Woo-style dramatics. The sequel to the original, Dead to Rights II: Hell to Pay, moved the series from all the aforementioned positives into an area of monotony and outright brokenness. It took the ideas of the first game, which were actually pretty fresh amidst most of the titles out at the time, and did absolutely nothing with them. Read More...

SEGA Embraces DRM For Alpha Protocol
by Brian Goodman [ Wednesday, 14th of April 2010 - 05:37 PM ]
SEGA, according to Eurogamer, has reported its intent to make use of the Uniloc DRM for its PC release of Alpha Protocol, despite past issues regarding the software. SEGA will be joining the growing group of publishers who have begun using intrusive authentication software in the name of protecting their PC releases. Since the inception of PC gaming publishers have been trying to find effective ways to balance protection against theft and unobtrusive gameplay experiences. How many people remember the funny picture wheel with older Lucas Arts games, or the frequently used “what’s the 4th word on the 9th line of page 36 of the manual” chestnut? Read More...
