Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Well, the week has come to an end once more, and we had some fun with the various video games and films we had announced there. Some big ones like Resident Evil Requiem and Poppy Playtime had some highlights. Then we had a whole lot of smaller titles in the mix with Styx: Blades Of Greed, all to wrap with a good look at the upcoming film The Mortuary Assistant. Resident Evil The latest showcase for Resident Evil Requiem is out there, and it shows how past Resident Evil titles are driving the gameplay Just as we have all been promised, we have a new showcase out for Resident Evil Requiem. Partially to get us hyped up to pre-order the game before Capcom drops it on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC, and partially to make sure we all know what titles from the past we should be familiar with before playing. Not just for the story, but as it seems that Grace will have some basis in certain Resident Evil titles when it comes to tone and gameplay, while Leon will have a vastly different one based on some of the other games. I Must Find Her Gameplay for I Must Find Her is out there, and it further highlights how I Must Find Her will offer up a different take on these events With the many titles that have been out there about the Chernobyl disaster, it is interesting to see one take a different approach as I Must Find Her seems to be doing. We are still going to see a lot of the walking around and darkness that seeped into the world from it all, but it seems that Evil Deal Games will be mixing in a few other things into the game that might take us to some darker places. Usually, we get to see soldiers and other workers at the facility get their stories played out, but in I Must Find Her we get to hear how it affected the local population who were just living their lives before all of it. Liminal Shroud Another haunting title in the liminal spaces setting, Liminal Shroud, is on the way to us & we have a small look at what Liminal Shroud brings It seems like the horrors of the liminal spaces just will never die, as we now have an announcement for the upcoming Liminal Shroud. Another in the growing list of titles that take place in the same setting, but are made by different teams out there. This one is coming from Everdeep Studios, who is setting up to bring us yet another title in the area on the PC. Although it does seem as if Liminal Shroud might be taking a bit of a different path than the others in this universe, which are only semi-linked together. Read More...

Hypnos A new exploration title, Hypnos, is teased out there to have us wander more of the realm of Hypnos when it is ready It will be time to enter into another Nameless City in the world out there, with the teaser that we have for Hypnos. This is a new title in the series of titles that Enclave and Redlock Studio are working on for the PC. A title that will have us walking about the lands where the gods dwell, even if this sounds more like a Lovecraftian horror than anything. Sounds can be deceiving, as the visuals that we have to look at for Hypnos, it is a lot lighter than we have seen in the genre before. Read More...

Star Trek Dive deeper into the combat of Star Trek Voyager: Across The Unknown and see just how we will be commanding everything in this Star Trek title The captain is on deck, as we take a look at the combat that we are going to have to master in Star Trek Voyager: Across The Unknown. Okay, that's a little off since we will be playing as the captain in the game, but we have gameXcite behind the controls of this new look, so we're not the captain in this instance. Not to mention, this is just a fun way to give us more on how we will be bringing this version of Star Trek Voyager to life, but also a way for Daedalic Entertainment to keep us reminded that it is coming to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 18th. Not only did we get a lot to check out during the convention, but we also managed to get solid updates out to you all week. Some, like, Styx: Blades Of Greed gameplay, Dead By Daylight and Stranger Things kicking off the crossover, Resident Evil Requiem getting some fun new visuals, and the fact that we will be able to play Xbox video games without the need of an Xbox soon. Grave Stakes The Early Access for Grave Stakes is here, and now we can play the dark gameshow that Grave Stakes is going to bring us With so much going on near the end of the year, it is interesting that we all lost sight of the next game show that was about to pop off with Grave Stakes. A title that was supposed to hit Early Access at the beginning of December last we heard, but it looks as if Wild West Games had to put the pause on that. Alone Psychological horror, Alone, is announced here and we will see how dark our dreams will truly be in the world of Alone If there is one thing that the horror genre is not going to be this year when it comes to games, is that we are not going to be short on them. Especially as we add in another small title to the mix with the announcement of Alone coming to the PC here. A new title on the way from River Flower Games that will not only be a horror, but one that delves a bit into mental health. It is odd how those keep getting intertwined, but for the masses, I'm assuming it is all still a horrifying thing. Read More...

007 First Light A new look at 007 First Light out of CES is here to show us just how NVIDIA will be pushing 007 First Light forward Fresh off the recent delay of 007 First Light, it looks like we have a lot more driving its way out to us for the game during CES. Not anything unusual, since the gadgets and vehicles in the IP get highlighted during the show, but here we go with a look at how IO Interactive is teaming up with NVIDIA to help give the PC version of the game a bit of a push before the new May 27th release date. Resident Evil Resident Evil is coming to life with the new Path Tracing & DLSS 4 features that Resident Evil Requiem will house It feels like it would not be CES without Capcom showing off something new out there with their games, and it looks like Resident Evil Requiem is taking the stage here. That might sound weird to many, but they do like offering their games to showcase either new PC hardware or showcase a new console feature. Dead By Daylight The Stranger Things crossover for Dead By Daylight is finally here, with many more kids needing to survive Dead By Daylight Things are getting turned upside-down here in Dead By Daylight with the second chapter of Stranger Things officially out there in the game. We just couldn't let the IP die, and this is a good one to have in the game, so I guess it makes sense that Behaviour is getting this out to us. Even if it feels a little weird to have it after the main show of Stranger Things has come to a close. That's neither here nor there, though, as it does bring us more to play in Dead By Daylight on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. Read More...

Xbox A new platform for the Xbox cloud gaming is on the way, with a new partnership announced for Xbox during CES It seemed like it was something that might never have come, but it looks like you might not need anything by a TV screen to play your favorite Xbox games again. Not that we won't have the Xbox Series X|S and PC as options to play, still. Also, maybe a new system that has yet to be announced as well. No, as it seems, a new partnership could see some smart TVs this year have the ability to play the cloud streaming versions of our games without anything but a controller. Read More...

Dawnwalker A small look at The Blood Of Dawnwalker is here to kick off the new year, with a few smaller peeks at what the Dawnwalker will bring The new year has kicked off, there was a lot of celebrating, and now we get to carry that over into The Blood Of Dawnwalker. All with a little bit more of the story, some words from Rebel Wolves, and a new track that we are going to hear quite a bit when we are playing the game. All so we can remember that The Blood Of Dawnwalker will be hitting the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2026.
