Trailer Park 11/22/11

Since last week's installment of Trailer Park was non-existent, I believe you guys are overdue for a new set of trailers. First up we have a new trailer for EA's SSX coming out on February 14th, 2012. The trailer shows off a lot of game play footage that looks just as insane and hilarious as previous installments, Doing the "Worm" on a snowboard and twirling around like a helicopter are just a couple of the nut job tricks showcased in the trailer. It's Templar Week In The Secret World

Yea, I'll admit that sounds a lot like Shark Week on the Discovery channel, but damn it, Funcom wants to get some more info about The Secret World out to all of you. I am just trying to help them in this task. TSW does look like it can end up being one of the coolest MMO's out there. At least when it finally launches. Great Games Under $30

Are you bored? Tired of playing that new game you just got because it didn't live up to its hype? Got some extra cash? Well then, you're in luck. I've made a list of some really good games under $30. First up we got Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock. The final Guitar Hero went out with a bang, featuring one of the best heavy metal and rock set lists I've ever seen as well as some really cool power ups. Warriors Of Rock has the first story line in a Guitar Hero game. While it's certainly not the best it is still very enjoyable; especially the final battle against The Beast. Read More...

Rainbow 6 Patriots Officially Announced

As if we all didn't expect this, Ubisoft is doing yet another Tom Clancy title. This one has the moniker Rainbow 6 Patriots. From the bit that has been gleaned from the announcement and game's site it looks like a well trained and organized revolutionary group has come to the conclusion that (*Gasp*) the American government is corrupt. They want to bring everything back to zero and "reclaim" the country for their own ideals. Your job will be to of course stop them if all goes the same as usual for this kind of storyline. Grand Theft Auto V Now Has It's Trailer...Straight Outta Vinewood

The wait is now over GTA fans. The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto V can be seen below in all of its glory. At least in the glory of having a trailer that really doesn't tell us much. Outside of heavy hints at a Los Angeles-type setting and a time period of being current. But hey, it is better than just having a tweet that said the game was coming. We all get to see that the game is in full production and not just some pre-production limbo for now. I, for one, was wishing that Rockstar would have deviated from the normal GTA staples and gone outside of the box - at least in the realm of game world. Read More...

Star Trek Online Goes Free To Play

Cryptic Studios has just announced that it's highly acclaimed MMORPG Star Trek Online will be free-to-play before the end of this year. The game will also be downloadable and playable at no cost! "In addition to seeking out new life and exploring strange new civilizations, part of our continuing mission for Star Trek Online is to expand and improve," said Jack Emmert, CEO, Cryptic Studios. "Transitioning to a free-to-play model is a natural way to share all we've built with a broader community of players and we couldn't be more excited." So later this year we will see STO go free-to-play, with features that include customizing avatars, crews and ships just like normal and no limitations to the galaxy they wish to explore. Trion Announces End Of Nations Will Be Free To Play

End Of Nations is Trion World's highly anticipated MMORTS which is still in the works, but that's not going to stop them from making some major announcements. Trion games announced yesterday that End Of Nations will now embrace the very popular free to play business model. Like all other Free to play titles, EoN will feature micro-transactions along with an optional "subscription" feature. Free players will have access to "the entire game" according to Trion, including its 50 person Multiplayer battles, full single player mode and player customization. E3 2011 Impressions: Tomb Raider

If there is one franchise that feels like it has been milked to death, it would be Tomb Raider. The true definition that sex sells in gaming. So it would be very little surprise that Eidos would look into remaking such a beloved franchise for more money. Only from what we got to see at E3, I would not put it in the normal "remake for money" category just yet. E3 2011 Impressions: Torchlight II

When I stumbled upon Torchlight during 2009’s E3, I knew I had found something special. Of all the games I came away wowed by during that show, Torchlight was definitely one that stood out in my mind after the buzz wore off. Fast forward to 2011, as Runic Games attempts to make a repeat performance at E3 with Torchlight II. At first glance, you will feel a familiarity with Torchlight II. Star Wars: The Old Republic E3 Intro Cinematic

Okay, that's it. If I have to watch one more cinematic teaser for Star Wars: The Old Republic, I'm gonna scream. Honestly, these things are so awesome, it's almost like a feature length film. The latest one released at E3 this year has me torn. I'm no longer sure if I want to be a Jedi or a Sith - and for good reason.
