Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games There we go with yet another week in video games in the bag. As usual there was so very much that we had to cover and we did our damnedest to make sure we were able to get to every last bit that we could. We did have a lot more on the Far Cry Primal and Paragon side of things than could have been expected but the world of video games is a fickle bitch. I'm just glad we were able to get to the Layers Of Fear and Minecraft: Story Mode reviews we kept talking about that last few weeks. Kholat Horror title Kholat is making the leap from PC to PS4 so more gamers can know what happened in the real world events that inspired Kholat from the start Last year an interesting little game by the name of Kholat was released on the PC. While not your traditional horror experience when it comes to video games, IMGN.PRO was able to recreate a fun, beautiful, and terrifying gaming experience based on some truly terrifying real events. The Division The season pass for The Division has been announced and offers up gamers three major expansions for The Division post-launch as well as other goodies The beta for The Division is now fully underway and it looks like there are going to be some extras to be able to get for those who fall in love with the game based on just this beta. Of course these won't be free extras as that isn't usually the case with games like this or out of Ubisoft but a whole bunch of extras in the way of a Season Pass for The Division. Song Of The Deep Another title from Insomniac has been announced called Song Of The Deep and we have the first trailer for Song Of The Deep as well as how this game will be played out It looks like Insomniac Games has been working on more than we thought over since their last major release as now we have another title from them on the way in form of Song Of The Deep. This is a brand new IP for them in the gameplay style of "Metroidvania" that takes place in an underwater setting where we follow the tale of Merryn who is trying to find her father who is lost in the depths of the sea. Not a horrible kind of setting for Song Of The Deep although I will say the tease and name did lead me to think we were going to see a horror game but first impressions are not always correct. The Division A new live action series for The Division has been released and helps gives some insight on what is going on in the world of The Division outside of society falling and murder The Division has its big beta coming up here at the end of the month but for those unlucky enough to not get in on it they may be stuck waiting around until March 8th to experience the game's world on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Well that is if they so choose to skip the latest live action series that Ubisoft has put together for everyone to show off The Division's story and world that has been crafted. The Division The dates for The Division's beta test has been revealed and we all will soon be having a taste of what The Division has to offer us all We finally have a date for the beta test for The Division and it is only a little over a week away. Of course it is closer for those who pre-ordered the game on Xbox One but Ubisoft is only given them a slight head start in terms of a day. That day of course being January 28th for those users. Minecraft: Story Mode Minecraft: Story Mode is finally making the leap to the Wii U so now Nintendo fans will be able to enjoy Minecraft: Story Mode in all of its glory It looks like we have yet another platform to the mix for Minecraft: Story Mode as the game is making the leap to the Wii U now. It looks like Telltale Games was done with losing out on dominating all of the platforms out there for the Mojang franchise and not Minecraft: Story Mode is landing on January 21st in terms of the first episode. Oculus While at CES 2016 I was able to play with the Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch in a more intimate setting than just a video. Here's my take on the Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch Obviously one of the big items around CES 2016 was the Oculus Rift; especially since it went up for pre-order and all of the new details cropped up just at the beginning of the show. That of course led to a whole lot of debate on if the Oculus Rift was going to be worth the $600 price tag out the door or if it was going to be another overpriced gizmo with a lot of buyer's remorse. This led me to take over the job of checking out the hardware of the Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch controllers to see if the price point made sense for where the system is now or if, like I said, it was something that could be left behind. Rise Of The Tomb Raider The final release date for Rise Of The Tomb Raider's PC version has been revealed and those gamers will be playing Rise Of The Tomb Raider before the end of January What was being speculated for Rise Of The Tomb Raider has now been confirmed as we have a solid date that the game is heading to the Windows and Steam platforms.
