We Have A Few New Batman: Arkham Knight Screens Flying At You
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A few new screen shots for Batman: Arkham Knight have been released and show off Batman being Batman… While it may not be more video footage of Batman: Arkham Knight we do have a few new screen shots for the game to tide us over until the next big video of gameplay. Although this looks like it is all about the Batmobile or Batman in full action here in the game. If only there was more to speculate on and think about for Batman: Arkham Knight or the reason it is coming out in February next year instead of October here in short time. But alas, there is nothing more to go with than these images. Read More...

Let's Regain Some Perspective On The Combat System Of Bloodborne
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Not only was there a new trailer for Bloodborne out of Gamescom but some new information on the combat system and how it differs from other IPs When I first saw Bloodborne at E3 I was under-impressed with what I saw. Visually Bloodborne looked spectacular but as far as gameplay and combat went it looked nothing like the announcement trailer or other bits of CGI that was being shown. What I was expecting was fast paced and not along the lines of Demon's Souls' kind of combat for this PS4 title. Luckily there was a bit more of an explanation for Bloodborne at Gamescom here recently and it is starting to make more sense now. Read More...

It has now been fully announced that Kano will be gracing us in Mortal Kombat X with three hardcore fighting styles It was all but confirmed that Kano was coming to Mortal Kombat X last week via a German magazine sharing a few screens for the character. Now, as promised, Ed Boon has full announced Kano will be making a comeback to Mortal Kombat X even though he will be a bit older and relying on his cybernetics to not die right away. It really looks like NetherRealm is pushing that "in the future" aspect of the game doesn't it? So what do we get to look forward to for Kano in Mortal Kombat X? Read More...

Four Player Co-Op Revealed For Dying Light In The Latest Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The latest trailer for Dying Light from Gamescom has confirmed the four player co-op for the game I'm a bit confused here with the latest from Dying Light as I thought that the co-op was one of the original selling points for the game. Now we have the latest Gamescom trailer for the game that is highlighting all of the accolades Dying Light has received thus far as well as how we will be playing the game in co-op. From the looks of it that will all be in an online form and not split screen with your buddy sitting right next to you. I miss those days sometimes. Read More...

SDCC 2014 Hands On: LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
While At SDCC I Got To See LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It It was Comic Con and what kind of convention would it be if we didn't cover LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham or something comic book related in gaming? Am I right? Well in a few months time we are getting the release of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham on damn near every platform under the sun so I stood up and gave the game a whirl on the show floor. All just before the huge announcements that now surround the game and make it just that much cooler. Here's what I thought when I finally got my hands on LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Read More...

Did We Just Get A Kano Slip For Mortal Kombat X?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A few new images for Mortal Kombat X have cropped up online and it looks like Kano is up next for reveal The internet can't keep anything sacred and fun for reveal and the latest Mortal Kombat X outing speaks directly to that. It looks like a few screen grabs from a German magazine have found their way from the editing room to the internet and it pretty much confirms Kano as a returning fighter to Mortal Kombat X. It sure looks like Kano and the brief description in the bottom corner looks to be all about his "Wrestling-Kano" fighting style. Unless this is an elaborate fake just in the build up to Gamescom. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer out of SDCC for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham shows off the voice actors of the game If you didn't know by now, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is being slated as having the largest cast of characters from the DC Universe. I had the pleasure of seeing a good chunk of these characters at SDCC last week, look forward to a hands on article, but if you don't want to wait you can get a glimpse at a bunch of the characters and those who voice them in the below trailer. You also get to hear a bit on what the actors thought about LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham too; this includes an appearance from Adam West. See all of this from LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham reminds me of the old days when the LEGO games were all voiced in grunts and mumbles. Read More...

Looks Like We Get To Go Under The Red Hood In Batman: Arkham Knight
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
GameStop has announced that they will have an exclusive DCL pack for Batman: Arkham Knight that adds the Red Hood's Story It looks like we are getting more to Batman: Arkham Knight than just the Harley Quinn story pack. That is at least if you are pre-ordering the game for your local GameStop and nowhere else. None the less it is confirmed now that we are getting more story DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight in the form of the Red Hood and it doesn't look like the Joker's version of the Red Hood either. I'm thinking that it is more like the recent animated series and comic ark but that will most likely be told during the play through. Read More...

Well the good news is that at least this project doesn't look to be affected by the closure announcement. That is basically because we now have a good look at one of the main characters that will be in the show as well as Halo 5: Guardians. Read More...

The Walking Dead: No Man's Land Has Been Announced For 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A cinematic trailer for The Walking Dead: No Man's Land has been released to announce the new tie-in game The Walking Dead franchise is still a steam roller and in a preempt for SDCC we now have The Walking Dead: No Man's Land announced. The Telltale game has been relatively amazing, the Facebook tie-in social game was ok-ish, and the other console game from what I hear was 'meh'. Now we have yet another title but this time just for mobile from Next Games and AMC. That is about all we know about The Walking Dead: No Man's Land outside of the following cinematic trailer that we have from AMC's YouTube account. Read More...

Recent reports say that the studio will be closing as a part of a restructuring that will result in 18,000 Xbox employees being laid off News surfaced today that Xbox Entertainment Studios, the new studio that was to produce several Xbox original TV shows, will be shutting down permanently. The company began in 2012 with the vision to create interactive television content for Xbox Live subscribers. With one announcement of a live-action Halo television show with Steven Spielberg producing it. Read More...
