The Bungie countdown has ended, and with it releases a new teaser trailer.  Set in a futuristic city, you are looking through a camera at various areas when pods drop from the sky.  When the cameras are brought back online, you see destruction and damage everywhere. Cut to "Halo 3" and after which the camera itself is hit by a pod, and the video cuts to "Prepare To Drop". Blizzard have started a new Recruit A Friend initiative where you as the player invite your friends to start playing WoW and recieve some pretty nice things. If you sign them up for 30 days you get 30 days free. Sign them up for 60 days and you get a new mount called Zhervra. Get them signed up and play alongside them and not only will you recieve triple the xp, you can summon each other from any point in the world. Blizzard also announced that "for every two levels of experience your friend earns, they can grant one level of experience to any one of your characters of lower level." Three weeks ago during the Microsoft press conference at E3 the good people of Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIII would be making it's way to the Xbox. This came as a huge surprise since it was previously thought to be a PS3 exclusive. The one condition of this deal, or so we all thought, was that an X360 version of FF would be exclusive to North America and possibly Europe. Well it seems there has been a change in plans. Due to be released in 2009, Infinity Ward will do another round in the Call of Duty franchise. What does this mean? This means that COD6 will be amazing in all its glory, so at least if WaW sucks, you can at least look forward to the new installment. In Gears of War 2 news, the people of Epic seem to really understand their audience. Epic loves us for exactly what we are, a bunch of achievement whores. Now while some people may be above spending time going through games solely to raise their gamer score, most of us are not. Epic has created a whole new type of achievement system, called "linked" achievements. Linked Achievements occur when someone obtains an achievement in the first game(Gears of War), this then unlocks new content in the second game(Gears of War 2).
