Quantum of Solace Review, XBOX 360
by Ben Brody [ Tuesday, 4th of November 2008 - 07:06 AM ]
Quantum of SolaceESRB: TeenReviewed on: Xbox 360Quantum of Solace is Activision's first 007 game released since gaining the license from EA in 2006. It also marks the first Bond game released on 7th generation consoles (it is also released on 6th gen too). Daniel Craig, Eva Green, Mads Mikklesen, Olga Kurylenko, Mathieu Amalric, and Judi Dench all lend their voice and likeness to the game, which does give make it seem like you indeed are playing the movie, however, this time, that's a bad thing.Quantum of Solace doesn't fail so much due to the fact that it's not a great game to play, it fails in the regard that it's based on a movie, which while containing some over-the-top action, was largely a drama-love story that couldn't hold a candle to the action found in Goldeneye, From Russia With Love, Everything or Nothing, or even Nightfire. When producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson decided to take Bond in a different direction I was pleased with what came out on the big screen but was disappointed in the fact that the toned down, more realistic action wouldn't translate well to a video game, where over-the-top is the standard. A Goofier Way To Look While Playing Games
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of October 2008 - 05:58 PM ]
Sony Patents Ultrasonic Waggle Controller Technology A while back, there was a video showing a motion controller designed for the PS3. It looked like the Dual Shock 3 controller only that it split in the middle to make for two fists of fury. Really cool looking. But now there is a new patent passed through to create a new motion and proximity controller by Sony. And the images proposed look really goofy. But the technology is actually kind of cool when you think and look at it. Read More...

Enter The City With Your Mac
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of October 2008 - 04:55 PM ]
NCsoft and TransGaming Announce City of Heroes for the Mac So it's been a long time coming, but it is finally going to happen. So good news for those Mac players that have yet to get addicted to WoW. But one of the other best MMOs will be easily available for those who love to game with a Mac. Why someone would do that I don't know. Sorry personal opinion. But the details, at least the shorter version, is that there will be a public Beta of the Mac version available before the Holiday Season around the same time the next Issue (patch) comes out. With Major 'WOW Killer's' Age of Conan and Warhammer Online, Blizzard's World of Warcraft Cannot Possibly Thrive
by Robert [ Tuesday, 28th of October 2008 - 08:33 PM ]
Fun Fact: World of Warcraft's player subscription base is equal to Ohio's population according to the 2007 census estimates. Even before the release of next major expansion Wrath of the Lich King, Blizzard has much to brag about. After Age of Conan and WAR Online both have released and Blizzard still holds a strong grasp over the MMORPG market, an ever-growing gaming scene, and has now reached a player base of 11 million strong.   Quoted from Blizzard: IRVINE, Calif. - October 28, 2008 - Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Who Doesn't Like A Zombie
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of October 2008 - 09:07 PM ]
Tips for eating brains Really who doesn't? Well the people behind World of Warcraft just showed their love for them in their latest world event. At least in my opinion. In this event, there are boxes located in every port city that has the ability to turn your toon into a flesh craving zombie. From there, you get a few extra abilities to play around with in the game. Like say, bite a NPC and turn them into a zombie. Bite friend and turn them. Read More...

And There Was Asshatery
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of October 2008 - 05:39 PM ]
Gears Of War 2 Invades Torrent Sites So a new game is about to roll out and the pirates go to town trying to break the disk and get it out there for the masses. That being said, there is the 7gb torrent of the game being spread around the net for people to use for free. But that isn't what this article is about. It's more along the lines of what the source was going into. Piracy <RANT> So we all know it can get expensive to buy all the games that we want to play in today's market. Read More...

Tell Fables For Fun And Prizes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of October 2008 - 07:51 PM ]
Fable II Site Launches When the first game launched, they did something much the same, as is the case with any new game that launches. You want to get out the info as soon and as quick as possible. Makes sense. But this time around Lionshead and Microsoft have decided to make it even more worthwhile to go to the game's site. This time around when going through the story and cutouts, the choices you make can actually gain you in-game items. Pretty much however you decide to go through can get you different items for play within the game. Read More...

RUMOR MILL: Guess What Else Comes Out Nov 19th Along With NXE
by Ben Brody [ Monday, 13th of October 2008 - 05:32 AM ]
Oh c'mon why wouldn't they pull that. The Inquirer reports that on November 19th of this year, Sony's Playstation Home will be unleashed to the public, coincidentally on the same exact day that Microsoft drops it's New XBOX Experience for its XBOX 360 console. While Home is certainly more substansial (it's a whole virtual world where you can walk around, play games, watch movies, and more, semi-akin to second life), where as NXE is more of a looks-rather-than-content update, both are being heavily looked forward to. While people who live close to each other in real life probably won't substitute going to somebody's PS Home versus going to their real home, it does offer a great solution for people who live across the country. The world you ask? Read More...
