Review: Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment

Wait, Vandal Hearts is still around? Why yes they are. Hijinx Studio and Konami recently released Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment for the XBox Live and PlayStation Network and did a reasonably good job with the game. I just find it a bit random that out of all the Konami franchises, that Vandal Hearts was the one they chose to release. In any case let see how this Japanese turn-based RPG do. If you have played any turn-based tactical RPGs like Ogre Tactics, Disgaea, or Final Fantasy Tactics than you will be familiar with the game and will find a few innovations. Read More...

Spartans Never Die In The Halo Reach Trailer

Attention Halo fans. The World Premiere Trailer for Halo Reach is out. It is also below for you to check out and gaze at what Bungie and Microsoft have in store for you sometime later this year. Well at least a basic story of things. All in a fully rendered video clip with the following seeming to be the story they wan to tell with this clip: A bunch of space marines, Spartans, are gearing up to go fight some huge alien threat, the Covenant. XBox LIVE Coming To A Windows Phone Near You

With Mobile gaming on the rise, and new technologies emerging from console makers these days it was no surprise to see Microsoft announce XBox LIVE connectivity with the new Windows Phone 7 software. Unlike Windows Mobile 6.1 and higher, this is aimed at a more social experience by increasing communication across a multitude of carriers and phones. Windows Phone 7 will be available (unlike the iPhone) on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and HTC phones. Windows Phone 7 OS is going to be Microsoft's mobile entertainment platform, by bringing gaming to the player anywhere they go, and the ability to network with all your LIVE friends, Microsoft is coming out the gate swinging. Splinter Cell Conviction Screens Sneaking Out

Almost a year ago, we were all blown away with the visuals of Splinter Cell Conviction. Never playing one before seeing the video at the Ubisoft conference, I was overly intrigued with what Ubisoft had done with this game. Which of course led to the disappointment on never knowing when it was coming out. At least that was up until Ubisoft set the date in stone earlier this week. The Year Of Blizzard And The StarCraft II Beta

With Chinese New Year just around the corner, 2010 will be the year of...Blizzard? Announced today by Blizzard President and Co-Founder, Mike Morhaime, the closed beta of StarCraft II will launch towards of the end of February. That is awesome for those, myself included, that have been waiting for StarCraft II to come out. The news of StarCraft II was not the only announcement made by Blizzard. XBox LIVE Discontinued For Original XBox Systems

According to Microsoft on April 15th 2010 they will be discontinuing there XBox LIVE services on the original XBox. The discontinuation of service will also include XBox v1 games that are backwards compatible on your XBox 360. So basically all you Halo 2 fans out there have been "cut-off". The original XBox LIVE had a good run, almost eight years from when it first debuted back in November 2002. Obviously there were numerous attempts at online gaming before XBox LIVE (Dreamcast anyone?), but none that became such a power house of online gaming. Read More...

Kratos' Fury To Quench Kratos' Rage

When you have a red, hot rage against the gods like Kratos does, how are you suppose to quench it? A rage that is hotter than the deepest bowles of Tartarus hot. Well with the new Kratos Fury Slurpee being housed in your local Seven Eleven stores in the next week or so. Then you can probably enjoy this Blackberry and Lime flavored frozen delight all the way up until the launch of the game in March. At least that is how it was made to sound from Evan Brody, the Marketing Manager for Slurpee and Big Gulp Brands. The Ides Of March Will Ring In God Of War III

Well it was rumored earlier that the End would Begin on March 17th from the release date of the God of War III PS3 bundle in Europe. There were no confirmations about it being the true listed date or not. Well that was until now. That is, Sony just announced the official release date for God of War III as the 16th of March. ESPN Coming To XBox 360

With all the consoles (finally) starting to stream digital media, either from Netflix, or from online stores, it seems that the only natural progression would be to start showing live TV shows/sporting events. ESPN were in talks with Microsoft in a very "private" meeting, about the possibility to stream sporting events live on the XBox 360. Of course fee's would be involved but now your average gamer, on any given sunday, could sit at home and switch back and forth from Madden '10 to whatever football game was on. For a per-subscriber fee, ESPN could provide live streams of sporting events, similar to the ones available through ESPN 360, a service that is available from some high-speed Internet providers. It is a well known fact that in God of War III you will be taking on huge bosses and traversing large environments that are literally the titans themselves that are suppose to be helping Kratos in the upcoming finale to the God of War storyline. Hellgate Resurected, Maybe For Good

So, raise your hand if you were upset when Hellgate: London was shut down. Look at all those virtual hands out there that seemed so depressed that I brought this up again. But turn those sad hands and faces upside down, it looks like you will most likely be getting this wonderful game and it's servers back up and running in the not to distant future.
