by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 20th of January 2010 - 02:28 AM ]
With all the consoles (finally) starting to stream digital media, either from Netflix, or from online stores, it seems that the only natural progression would be to start showing live TV shows/sporting events. ESPN were in talks with Microsoft in a very "private" meeting, about the possibility to stream sporting events live on the XBox 360. Of course fee's would be involved but now your average gamer, on any given sunday, could sit at home and switch back and forth from Madden '10 to whatever football game was on. For a per-subscriber fee, ESPN could provide live streams of sporting events, similar to the ones available through ESPN 360, a service that is available from some high-speed Internet providers. by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 22nd of December 2009 - 03:14 AM ]
Ever wonder what it would be like to hook yourself up to your Xbox or Nintendo Wii and have it monitor certain vitality signs, use the data to change your avatar accordingly, or tell you what your feeling during certain points of a video game. Imagine status updates but from your internal Biology, take that Facebook!Microsoft recently patented tracking of players physical characteristics and converting that information to reflect on your avatar.  Of course a third party device would have to be created first, but Microsoft would pick up all the info and beam it into your Xbox Live account, making your Avatar look more like you. Review: Saw: The Video Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of October 2009 - 03:37 PM ]
Now I want to start out that this is not a movie based game, at least like all the other movie based games that get pumped out onto the store shelves when a new feature film or the film it is based on is about to hit the big screen. I felt we needed to open with that, because Saw: The Videogame shares only the title and is a continuation off the first film. It is not based of any of the films that have come out or are coming out. It should be considered Saw 1. Read More...

Nintendo did it, Microsoft did it, now Sony has joined the ranks of content distributors via Amazon.com. Yes that's right, now you can head online to your friendly neighborhood Amazon.com and download anything from Sackboy costumes to full blown PSPGo Games. No longer will you suffer the oppression of sales tax, some locations not so lucky. I'm looking at you New York. I have just recently become addicted to the powers of the seductive Amazon, and have currently bought a metric-fuck-ton of books/equipment/bowling shoes, but now it looks like PSN titles and PSPGo titles will be added to my list. The opening cinematic to be exact. Why have I not watched this clip yet? Read More...
