The newly formed duo of Activision Blizzard has presented there schedule of releases. While many titles were mentioned, several highly publicized games received none whatsoever. Terminal Reality, 50 Cent: Blood in the Sand and most notably: Ghostbusters, were all absent from the list. The lack of these titles, as well as massive "realignments" with the staff of High Moon Studio and Radical Entertainment, is leading many to wonder if some titles and studios are being dropped because of the merger. It is already known that Massive Entertainment and Swordfish Studios are being considered for sale or closure at this time. In Gears of War 2 news, the people of Epic seem to really understand their audience. Epic loves us for exactly what we are, a bunch of achievement whores. Now while some people may be above spending time going through games solely to raise their gamer score, most of us are not. Epic has created a whole new type of achievement system, called "linked" achievements. Linked Achievements occur when someone obtains an achievement in the first game(Gears of War), this then unlocks new content in the second game(Gears of War 2). Some examples of this are:- Complete Act One in Gears Of War, unlock a playable Anthony Carmine in Gears of War 2- Find 10 COG tags in Gears Of War, unlock Minh Young Kim in Gears of War 2- Kill Raam in Gears Of War, unlock a playable Raam in Gears of War 2According to xboxfocus. New RE:D Trailer So this was one of the coolest things I got to see while at Comic-Con this year. It is quite a bit more of the new Resident Evil movie that they are doing. Unfortunately, it is a "Pirated" video that someone took. I was actually sitting not to far from the camera guy here. I've tried listening for my WOOO when Leon first comes on screen, but I get blended in. A little bit that they don't show in the clip but was revealed at the panel was that this is kind of a continuation of the 4th game. Yo Yo guys.   Some of you may of heard of a place called Omega Sektor which is a LAN game center in Birmingham. On the 9th of August they are having a birthday bash. Tickets will be £10 and the place will be open till 2am.   They will be releasing more information on this soon. Guilty Gear has always been one of my favorite series of fighter games because it greatly impairs our oh-so-beloved button mashers from pwning ass. Take Soul Calibur II for instance: when playing as Rafael, by repeatedly pushing one button, Rafael will rapidly flail his sabre, often leaving the other player no chance to retaliate. The control structure in Guilty Gear is so brilliant because rapidly pushing the punch or kick button won't get you very far: special combos are based mainly on the combination of buttons and quarter or half turns with the joystick or directional pad. Resident Evil 5 Just announced at the Microsoft Conference at E3. Resident Evil 5 will be released on the 13th of March next year (2009). They showed off a bit more of their co-op play and talked a bit about the new organization that isn't Umbrella. So we could maybe see a demo hit by October.
