Harmonix and MTV announced today that they are gonna rock your socks off with the latest DLC for Rock Band just in time for Halloween. The pack for the PS3, XBox 360, and Nintendo Wii will include songs from Rob Zombie, Wolfmother as well as tracks from Liz Phair and Morningwood. All to be added next week to the Rock Band Music Store. Don't worry for those who owns Rock Band Unplugged, they didn't forget about you for they have tracks from Sonic Youth and Steely Dan ready for you next week for your PSP system. Infinity Ward recently announced that their upcoming Modern Warfare 2 won't be supporting dedicated servers, something that PC gamers have 99% of the time, replacing it with something called IWNet, a proprietary server system ran by Infinity Ward themselves. Before we get ahead of ourselves, let's make a list of pro's and con's. Pros: Less Cheaters Less Lag Better Matchmaking No Clan Servers No Custom Configs Cons: No Mod Support Chance that IW could disconnect and end servers at anytime for any reason No Clan Servers No Custom Configs Unable to play on “favorite” servers, only way to play with same group of people is to be in the same party or clan While console gamers have never had their own dedicated servers (save a few games like Section 8, Evolution 4x4, and a few others), it's rare for a PC game to do away with it (and yes, COD4 had dedicated servers). Borderlands Review: A Cell Shaded Grind Loot. Every role playing game experience has it in abundance. It's the life's blood that drives a player to move forward. For that next precious piece of armor, that dominating piece of weaponry, or that elaborate spell scroll with it's twenty minute animation sequence. It's what the love-hate relationship of most RPGs is based on. On the Civilization Fanatics' Forums Sid Meier, legendary creator all thing Civilization, has just announced that they will be creating a Civilization project called Civilization® Network™ via Facebook. So what is this game then if it isn't the next IP for the Jurassic Park franchise? Pretty much another dinosaur shooter style game with one major twist that others do not have. What would this twist be? Not that you are another space marine traveled through time and space and ends up in a jurassic era, but that you are a "normalish" adventurer and weapons master. Being a lowly space marine seems like the worst thing to be in Aliens Vs. Predator. Just by watching the trailer down below, you get a great sense that most people will only play the Human portion if they are in for a challenge or an Achievement/Trophy whore. I mean come on, the human they show through out the clip is scared poopless the entire clip. To the point where it begs the question right? Tired of playing Left4Dead already? Need to play something new? Well how about the demo for the next installment with Left4Dead2. On October 27th, Valve will be prepared to released an early access of the demo to those who pre-order the game via participating retailers or Steam. Yesterday, Activision released the track listing for the bonus 2-CD pack of Jay-Z and Eminem for the DJ Hero Renegade Edition. As a person who is readily suspicious of special editions and collector's edition, I had my doubts about DJ Hero's special pack-in when I saw that the jump in price from the regular edition was 80 US Dollars. With Wednesday's track listing release for the big addition to the original product and what exactly it will be, it really begs the question if what you're getting is worth the price of admission. Here we go again with the new age Indiana Jones/Tomb Raider game that we all loved, quite literally, 2 years ago. Only this time, it's a different artifact being tracked and a new villain for Drake and friends to out smart. All of it has a very epic, action film taste to it. Evading guards, traversing a modern warfare and running through the snow in Tibet make for a great adventure along with a very witty and humorous feel mixed in. Let me start out by saying I really enjoyed this game. I was really excited about the game when I first heard about it but as time went on I became concerned it would be too childish. Yes it’s very cartoony and yes when you kill creatures they turn into fuzzy animals, but somewhere in the midst of all that I had a blast playing this game!
