Doctor Who Joins LEGO Dimensions At SDCC 2015
by Julia Schoebel [ Thursday, 9th of July 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
The first official trailer showing Doctor Who in LEGO Dimensions has been shown to the world at SDCC 2015 and it is a great fit for LEGO Dimensions We all knew that Doctor Who was coming for LEGO Dimensions and it was a safe assumption that he was going to be bringing all of the quirkiness and monstrosities that come with the Doctor. Now we get to see them in action for the first time as TT Games has released the first official look and trailer at the character(s) in LEGO Dimensions and it is just about what you would think it would be. For now this is the closest that most are going to get to having a Doctor Who game on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, or Wii U. Read More...

Skylanders SuperChargers Is Going Dark For Another Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2015 - 04:59 PM ]
A new Dark Edition has been announced for Skylanders Superchargers and it allows for more Kaos gameplay in the franchise In the last edition of Skylanders we had a cool Dark Edition as we had villains in tow and it looks like Skylanders SuperChargers is also going to be doing the same thing. As if adding in vehicles wasn't enough for Vicarious Visions it looks like they wanted to make sure we all had the option to play the "evil" versions when we finally get the game on September 20th. Before you get worried about it Skylanders Superchargers' Dark Edition will be available in starter pack form for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U versions of the game. No need to worry outside of being able to find the edition for sale anywhere. Read More...

Guitar Hero Live Is Bringing Some Hero Power Into The Mix
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 7th of July 2015 - 07:01 PM ]
Star Power is a thing of the past as Guitar Hero Live brings new Hero Powers to the franchise and we have the details on how they will change Guitar Hero Live We would have been a bit daft to think that Guitar Hero Live wouldn't be bringing back Star Power in some way or another. For those not fully up to snuff on the Guitar Hero lingo that would be the extra boost you get when you tilt the guitar during gameplay. Of course it is making a comeback but it looks like FreeStyleGames is bringing something new into the mix for it in Guitar Hero Live. So not only is Activision pushing a new controller on us but it looks like more new gameplay as well. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Looks like the wait is over as the PS4 version of The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter is slated for a July 15th release date now Hopefully by now all of you reading this know about The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter as it released on PC last year and was well received by many. This would be that amazing looking supernatural adventure title created by The Astronauts that even we spoke highly of back in the day. This was also back when we heard it was being redone in the Unreal 4 engine and also getting a PS4 release scheduled but there was never any word on when after all the great reviews began pouring in for the first release of The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter. All of that changes now. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of July 2015 - 10:59 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Now that we are all caught up on our huge week of video game news it is time to start flowing back into the norm until the next big video game convention happens. Or event. Or damn near any kind of information flood in the world of video games that may be on the brink. That doesn't mean we didn't have much for this week as we had two reviews, Hatred and Fallout Shelter, and all kinds of news and rumors for Rise Of The Tomb Raider, The Division, and Batman: Arkham Knight. Our official review for the last title there is on the way so rest assured we will dig in when it is a bit fare to dictate if you should make the purchase at all or still leave the game on the store shelf. Three More Heroes For Overwatch Emerge To Dazzle Our Eyes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of July 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We have more gameplay for Overwatch to show off three more characters as well as a bit of a wrap up on the core gameplay for Overwatch Here we go with even more gameplay and characters for Overwatch here to gawk at. Not only is it more gameplay for the game but it is also a good look at the 'non-female-stereotype' female-stereotype character that everyone praised Blizzard for when she was first announced. I am talking about Zarya the heavy Russian combatant that pretty much looks and plays like every other heavy Russian stereotypical female character in video games. But hey, Overwatch is made by a studio with such a following that no one will care about that and just spin it up on the PC to enjoy for decades as it is another new IP of theirs in the end. Time For A Bit More Story On Tom Clancy's The Division
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of July 2015 - 04:59 PM ]
We've seen a lot of gameplay for Tom Clancy's The Division but only a bit of story but thankfully here is a bit more on that for The Division There are a lot of people out there excited for The Division to finally launch on March 8th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. I know I am excited to see if the visual quality is upheld by Ubisoft or just upgraded for E3 demos and such. I also know that a lot of people flipped over The Division after seeing the new gameplay at E3. Maybe not on my social accounts but it was all the buzz around the booths on the show floor. The Dead Rise Again At SDCC With The Walking Dead Escape
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Escape is back at SDCC 2015 giving all of us a feel for what a Survival Horror game really feels like in the world of The Walking Dead Looks like the SDCC tradition just keeps going as The Walking Dead Escape is making its return again to SDCC 2015. This would be the live action, survival horror experience set in the world of The Walking Dead that graced Petco Park back in 2012 and has been going strong ever since. The only difference this year is it would seem that this video game-like experience is being brought to life even more not with just the TV show but also it sounds like the other media platforms and versions are making a show during The Walking Dead Escape. Notably one of the best characters from the franchise; Negan. Read More...

Review — Hatred
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of June 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Hatred. Is It Worth Your Time or was it all PR hype to grab your attention with the hyper-violence? Here's Our Review of Hatred If there has been one title recently that has made a huge splash in a short amount of time it was Hatred. This is the twin-stick shooter title from Destructive Creations that was denied on Steam and then allowed back after much outcry. Mainly all of the negative press being aimed toward the ultra-violence that is portrayed in this AO title only on PC that has garnered its claim to fame but we had a chance to give it a good solid play through and we have our own thoughts on Hatred. Without gilding the lily any longer or pissing off the game's protagonist much more, here is our review for Hatred. Read More...

Here's That Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain 2015 E3 Demo
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of June 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
For those who were not able to see Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in action at E3 2015 we have you covered with over 40 minutes of The Phantom Pain gameplay Not too surprising was the fact that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was one of the big titles that Konami had on the show floor for many to see at E3. What was a bit surprising, especially given all of the Kojima Productions drama, was the fact that their main demo was out in the open for all to see at specific intervals during the show. I would have thought that they would have had The Phantom Pain behind closed doors to keep questions to a minimum as they have in the past but I guess with the September 1st release date coming they wanted as many players seeing why they should pick up The Phantom Pain for their PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, or PC. Our First Look At The Upgrades To The Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of June 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We have the first batch of screen shots to compare Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition to the original Darksiders 2 version to see how far the game has evolved Not that long ago now we had the official announcement for the Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition coming from Gunfire Games to bring the franchise to a new generation of fans out there wanting to give the franchise a chance but only got into things at the start of the PS4 and Xbox One days. That wasn't too long ago but you know, money and the want to push the Darksiders franchise forward require a new version of Darksiders 2 to be pumped out there. I won't complain as it will give me another new reason to don the Death mask and hop back into the fun and amazing universe designed by Nordic Games; even though this is another HD remaster of sorts. Review — Fallout Shelter
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 29th of June 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
We sit back And Review Fallout Shelter. This of course being the nice little distraction on mobile devices until Fallout 4 releases. Let's see if it is worth our time or not This won't be an overly long review since Fallout Shelter is only of a mobile game but they are a lot of good things I like about this game so I am going to start with the few small gripes I have with Fallout Shelter. To start things off Fallout Shelter is a little buggy and crashes randomly on my girlfriend's iPad that is only a few years old. I am sure this is an easy fix and Bethesda Game Studios will get it fixed in short order when a new update is rolled out. Read More...

A Not So Full Review — Batman: Arkham Knight [PC]
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 29th of June 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
We Tried To Sit Down And Review Batman: Arkham Knight but sadly the PC version has made that impossibility. Here's what I have to say on the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight I received my copy of Batman: Arkham Knight when I bought my new GTX 960 SCC 4GB edition. I had never played the previous three Arkham games or any spin-offs and was quite looking forward to diving in to such a praised franchise from Rocksteady Games to review it without having the others to compare it to. Though after spending a day downloading the game… it crashed on startup. I'm not the only one who has been burned by the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 6/22/15 — 6/26/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of June 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Finally we are back on track and getting all of the video game news and updates finally out there from E3. There was a whole lot to cover in the world of video games and we did our best to get everything we could during and after the week. This included some great hands on impressions for Mad Max, Guitar Hero Live, Drawn To Death, and Assassin's Creed Syndicate. These were also only some of the video games we were able to get to and we all know that there was a whole lot more but our team is limited here and we can only get to so many video games in the day.
