Immortal: Unchained Is Announced To Be Another Souls-Like Title Coming Soon
by Jana Lass [ Tuesday, 29th of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Immortal A new Souls-like shooter, Immortal: Unchained, has been announced and Immortal: Unchained looks to shake up the genre a bit but still keep it difficult It looks like we have another "Souls-like" title to look forward to now as Immortal: Unchained has been given a full announcement and is poised to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC at some point. You can read that as there has yet to be a release date set down for the game, but that does not mean that Toadman Interactive does not want you to at least hear about the title. This is of course why we are here right now and that is to talk about Immortal: Unchained now that it is out there in the world. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of August 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Another fine week of video games in the bag and there was still so much that we did not get a chance to cover this week. I guess that is what having another huge gaming event like Gamescom will do to us all when we are just trying to share it all. I mean, we had a lot of updates and news for Shadow Of War this week and a continued update for South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Not to mention some other great video games getting the announcement like Biomutant and Jurassic World Evolution. Read More...

by Jana Lass [ Friday, 25th of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Inmates Another psychological horror title is in the works, Inmates, and it looks like Inmates will be bringing all kinds of terror just as we have seen before Out at Gamescom it looks like we had another announcement in the form of a game called Inmates. It may sound like this may be some kind of commentary on the prison systems around the world, but in fact this is a new psychological horror game from Iceberg Interactive that will be driving right on to the PC in a few month. The actual release date is not set down just yet, but it has been stated that Inmates will release in the next few months so take that as you will. At a $9. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Secret Of Mana It looks like Secret Of Mana is getting a remaster, but this is not just a Secret Of Mana with better sprites. It is remaster with full 3D & voice overs If you were hoping for even more blasts from the past that have the Square Enix stamp on it, then get ready as it looks like Secret Of Mana is now heading to the PS4, PS Vita, and PC on February 15th of 2018. Yes, this game from 1993 is getting a remastered version for those platforms, but the interesting thing here is that it is going to be a fully 3D revamp for the game and not just one with updated sprites and textures. Yes, we are getting Secret Of Mana in 3D and with voice-overs to go along with it. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — Giant Consequences. This is the second episode of Telltale's second take on Mojang's famed Minecraft franchise. Here's our review on how they did The story continues as the second episode of Minecraft: Story Mode new season has released and is out there for those who want to take each with a bit of break in-between and not binge the whole thing. Giving yourself a break between each episode so you can reflect on what just happened seems to be the ongoing M.O. Read More...

Jurassic World Evolution Has Been Announced For Summer Of 2018
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Jurassic World If the Jurassic World films are not enough for you, then get excited as Jurassic World Evolution has just been announced to launch alongside the film We have another game that just received its announcement and that would be Jurassic World Evolution. Yes, we are getting a new game in the franchise here next year and it is coming to our PS4, Xbox One, and PC all around the same time that the next feature film drops. That makes this sound like a film tie-in to me and we all know how all of that goes. I am not saying that Jurassic World Evolution is going to fall directly into that design as many others have, but it does not sound like the best thing. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Marvel Vs Capcom More gameplay for Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite has been released and we get to see some of the darker characters for Marvel Vs Capcom in action with the Soul Stone Last week we were shown the last of the roster for Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite that will be coming at launch and we were able to see how dark things could go; in terms of characters. Now that we have seen them, it is time to see them all in action and Capcom has delivered us a new gameplay video for the game just to show all of that. Well, at least to show us how these fights in Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite could play out when the characters are in the best of hands or set up. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/14/17 — 8/18/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of August 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week There goes yet another week of video games in the bag. I swear that seems like the way we start all of these recaps out there. Nonetheless, we have hit the end of yet another week and it was filled with even more updates and news that could have been expected. There was a lot for Shadow Of War and Assassin’s Creed Origins yet again, and sadly we saw that Crackdown 3 had been delayed yet again until next year. Thankfully though, we have Agents Of Mayhem out there to feel those needs and if you are still on the fence for that title, we just published out review for it so you can get a better idea before purchase. The Dark Kingdom Is Rising In Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Marvel Vs Capcom More characters for Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite have been revealed as well as more of the new story for Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite we'll be experiencing soon Here we go with what I am guessing will be the final story trailer for Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite before September 19th. I am guessing that as it also fleshes out the full thirty character roster that Capcom has put together for this next big outing. That and it also looks like we may have a few different stories floating around here in Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite unless the showing here doesn't truly pan out as it looks like it will. I know I am seeing another Civil War kind of set up here as two different groups of thought debate on letting Thanos truly join in the fight for it all. Read More...

The Secret World Is Getting Optioned For Its Own TV Series
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Secret World It looks like The Secret World is finally going to be a TV series as a show based on The Secret World and its rebranding has been announced It only took about a decade but it looks like what I was hoping for with The Secret World is finally happening as it is being picked up for its very own TV series. That's right, the dark and horror filled MMO from Funcom is finally getting expanded into a series that will delve deeper into the world and secrets hidden within it. Not that the game or its rebranding of Secret World Legends doesn't do a great job of it already, but it will be fun to see a bit more of it all expanded upon and from others points of view. The Evil Within 2 Is Filled With The Twisted Art Of Stefano Valentini
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Evil Within 2 Meet a human monster of The Evil Within 2 that we will have to survive as well as understand in the grander scheme of The Evil Within 2 The Evil Within 2 is going to be filled to the brim with all of those horrific monsters and other terrors to kill us and haunt our dreams. There is no doubt in that as we've already seen what the minds over at Tango Gameworks have made before and what they are already bringing to the game here now. They would need to so they can keep up with all of the hype and anticipation horror fans have for The Evil Within 2 and are looking forward to seeing on October 13th with their PS4, Xbox One, and PC. I know I am as Bethesda has done a great job showing all of this off in a great setting and has the proven track record of doing just what we are talking about, but of course there has to be more than just horrible monsters to frighten us all. Review — Agents Of Mayhem
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Agents Of Mayhem We sit down and review Agents Of Mayhem. It's a Saints Row spin-off that is looking for its own identity. Here's our review of Agents Of Mayhem The time is now and Agents Of Mayhem has released to bring us all another title in a shared universe for Volition's other titles that have made huge splashes out there. Of course, this is all set to a theme of Saturday morning cartoons and over the top heroes with a third-person action-adventure game slapped in for mechanics, so I'll let you start to figure out the parallels between them all. Or you can look at the Agents Of Mayhem marketing that Deep Silver has thrown out there to get a feel for it all a bit more with a definite 80s feel to the theme as well. Read More...

Prepare For War As Call Of Duty: WWII's Private Beta Kicks Off
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Duty The private beta for Call Of Duty: WWII's multiplayer is about to start and here is what will be coming for Call Of Duty: WWII to be tested out I am hoping that you are ready to kick some Nazi ass here soon as Call Of Duty: WWII is about to unleash its multiplayer beta on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in just a short amount of time. While Sledgehammer Games has been hard at work making this another great entry into the franchise, they need help making sure it is a multiplayer experience you want and that Activision was able to secure a few more purchases by setting up a private beta as such for those who pre-ordered the game already. Pretty much in all other Call Of Duty fashion here and to give players a taste of what is to come. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/7/17 — 8/10/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of August 2017 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Another week has come and gone and we had even more to talk about in the world of video games than was expected. At least expected by me as we are getting close to the next big gaming conventions out there and you'd think that all the studios and publishers would be holding back. Then again, we have some great titles like Assassin’s Creed Origins and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus coming up and we need to talk about those video games for sure. Then mix in some extra coverage on SDCC that we've been working on getting out to you and a few new reviews and I guess I can see how we made it a pretty hectic week again. Read More...

Batman We sit down and review Batman: The Enemy Within — The Enigma. This is the first episode of Telltale's second take on the Batman franchise. Here's our review on how they did He we go with another trip into Gotham as the first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within has just dropped and is continuing the story mostly where we left off. That story being however you left Gotham after the events of the first time Telltale Games brought us this fun.
