Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Another week of video games in the bag and it was a huge one that was un expected indeed. I could have sworn it would have been a silent week given the proximity of E3, but it looks like they had to get all of the Far Cry 5 news out there to get us all hyped up for the video games still to come in the next few weeks. That and keep our minds off the delay of Red Dead Redemption 2 a bit and then be excited to see that LawBreakers is heading to the PS4 as well now. Guardians Of The Galaxy The second episode of Guardians Of The Galaxy has been given a date and it looks like we are getting more of the Guardians Of The Galaxy's backstory It looks like things may be going back to back for those Telltale Games titles now as it looks like we have a release date for the second episode of Guardians Of The Galaxy. As it stands, we will be seeing this new episode, title Under Pressure, on June 6th for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android devices. The Walking Dead The final trailer for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier's season finale is here to give us a taste of the latest story in The Walking Dead I was beginning to think that we wouldn't be seeing a full trailer for the final episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier here, but here we are with it. It is starting to feel like Telltale Games is mixing up all of their usual patterns but in a really good way. Gwent The public beta for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has kicked off and now players on all announced platforms can get in some games of Gwent to shape the game Not too long ago the closed beta for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game closed down on the PC version of the game and it gave us all a great glimpse at the game so far, as well as helped iron out some of the kinks in the mechanics to make it the game we all were addicted to inside another game. As of today (5/24/17) though, CD Projekt RED has opened the flood gates to allow everyone in on the beta as the public beta has kicked off. The best part…Gwent will also be available for the PS4 and Xbox One now so we can all get in on the testing and shaping of the game. Read More...

The Walking Dead A new look at the choices of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier that we've experienced is here just before the last episode of The Walking Dead's finale episode of the season As the next and last episode of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier's season comes at us, it looks like it is a bit of time to look back at the season so far and some of the big choices we've had to make during the run of the season. While it still has a lot to do to be one of my favorite Telltale Games to date, they sure have crafted a fun experience that deviates perfectly from the comics and previous seasons to keep us all guessing and wanting to see more of the human experience in this way. The Surge We sit down and review The Surge. It's almost like a Sci-Fi version of Dark Souls with other risks involved. Here's our review of The Surge Just as its name, The Surge popped into our lives and then was out for us to play in short order. That's not to say that Deck 13 didn't put in the effort to make it a great game, but we first caught wind of it not too long ago and now here we are giving it a review. Of course, Focus Home Interactive does have a lot of titles in the pipe currently and during the lead up to The Surge finally being released so maybe that is why we had what felt like a rush from announce to release. South Park A new release date for South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been set and it looks like we'll be back in South Park farting on everyone this October It looks like South Park: The Fractured But Whole may be just in sight now as it looks like we have a new release date for the game to look forward to. Unless it is hit with any further delays, it looks like Ubisoft is planning to bring us this game finally on October 17th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Assassin’s Creed With all of the recent Assassin’s Creed rumors floating around, it looks like Ubisoft has confirmed we'll see Assassin’s Creed & others this fiscal year While none of this will seem exactly new given all of the recent leaks, but it looks like the next Assassin’s Creed title is slated to be out here soon-ish with more information coming to us by E3 this year. Not only that title though, but many others from Ubisoft like South Park: The Fractured But Whole and Far Cry 5. Hellblade The latest developer diary for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has been released and it gives us a great look at Hellblade will integrate other character's faces With each new update for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice I have been overly impressed with the techniques and tech that is going into making this game come to life and hopefully pull off what the intent is. I know that Ninja Theory has a very specific idea they are going here for the game and have for a while. Injustice 2 More of the premier skins for Injustice 2 have been spotted out there in the world and we see more Injustice 2 characters shown off Only a few more sleep cycles until we all get to dive into the console version of Injustice 2 and see what hasn't been shown off to us just yet. We've been getting a lot of promises out of NetherRealm Studios that there is still a whole lot that we have not seen yet and this includes premier skins in the mix. These are the special skins in Injustice 2 that will completely alter the look and sound of one of the core characters into something completely new. We've seen this so far with Power Girl and Reverse Flash, but there have been promises of so many more. Read More...

The Surge With The Surge just about to launch we get a new cinematic trailer for The Surge as well as a look at one of the boss fights in the game We are almost here as The Surge launches next week on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It has been a fun ride so far with a lot of questions still needing answers from Deck 13, but now that we are a few days away it seems like a moot point as we'll be able to answer them all for ourselves here. Of course that doesn't help with the whole figuring out our thoughts on The Surge before it launches, but I am sure that Focus Home Interactive would rather us just take the plunge and hope for the best instead of knowing everything and opting to possibly not picking up the game. Injustice 2 As Injustice 2 is just about to launch, it is time to get a full recap on all of Injustice 2's ins and outs so we are all completely ready for launch We are a week out from the launch of Injustice 2 and it feels like we've seen and heard all there is for the game already. Outside of the finer details of the story in the game and specific gear we can collect, NetherRealm Studios has given us quite a lot to go on to make up our minds on if we are going to give the game a go here on the 16th. Hells, we only have a few more DLC characters to get shown off for Injustice 2 and we would have the whole package. Guardians Of The Galaxy We sit down and review Guardians Of The Galaxy — Tangled Up In Blue. This is the first episode of Telltale's version of Guardians Of The Galaxy. Here's our review on how they did With Guardians Of The Galaxy being the big thing right now in the Marvel film universe, it makes sense that we would see the first episode of the new episodic game release here to add to the whole experience. It is not linked to the film or comics, outside of the basics, and is completely something from Telltale Games for us to experience and have fun with before, after, and for a while after we catch the film.
