Allison Road It was announced today that the Kickstarter for Allison Road has been canceled but it is due to the fact that Allison Road will now have a publisher behind it It is usually never a good thing when we are talking cancelation in the video game industry but in the case of Allison Road it looks to be a good thing. The game hasn't been canceled and Lilith Ltd is still working on it but the Kickstarter campaign for Allison Road has been shut down. Guitar Hero Live Twelve more tracks have been added to Guitar Hero Live and while not all classics songs they are coming to Guitar Hero Live from past titles in the franchise Time to make the track list for Guitar Hero Live a not so round number of 121 now as we have twelve more tracks to add to the list today. It looks like the best melding of Dead Space and BioShock by Frictional Games with a bit of higher thinking and philosophy mixed in. SOMA A new web series for SOMA has been released and it is aiming to bring us all deeper into the story behind SOMA with prequel events If you've had the pleasure to play, start to play, or finish SOMA then you know one of the greatest selling points of the game is the story here. It is thought provoking, dark, and just an interesting tale to wrap around the horror events of this PS4 and PC title. In fact for some SOMA has left players wanting more out of Frictional Games in the way of said story. It is also a good week here when you get to see a whole butt-load of Fallout 4 and Rise Of The Tomb Raider news hit the web. The story trailer for SOMA has been released and it gives a bit more insight into the philosophical questions that SOMA will be raising Up until now I have been trying to make heads and tails of what SOMA's overall story will be about. The game launches next week on September 22nd for the PC and PS4 so it seems like it would be high time for Frictional Games to delve into the weirdness that they are known to create. Another premium show for Guitar Hero Live has been revealed with Avenged Sevenfold taking the bill and letting us play a live concert in Guitar Hero Live For the most part it the title above kind of explains the news here for Guitar Hero Live and the latest Premium Show that has been added to the list. It looks like Avenged Sevenfold is getting another crack with an Activision title here as we will get to play the three song long set here in FreeStyleGames' title in way of a live concert. We've seen a few before in other videos that Frictional Games has shown off but this one kind of takes the cake. At least in terms of setting the mood of SOMA and the horror it is trying to instill. There have been ten more tracks added to the ever growing list of Guitar Hero Live songs that will be playable when Guitar Hero Live officially launches There is still over a month before Guitar Hero Live hits homes around the world. October 20th will creep up on us like a bad burrito and we'll be jamming out to all the songs that FreeStyleGames could cram into Guitar Hero Live's disc. Of course this will be expanded based on all of the other options Activision is forcing into Guitar Hero Live to make sure we have a well-rounded set list of songs but we'll focus completely on the disc list as that will be available for all who purchase Guitar Hero Live no matter what. Another trailer for SOMA shows off more of the dark, deep seas that we will be fighting for our lives in when we play SOMA If there has been one upcoming title that has had me both intrigued and confused it has to be SOMA. Sometimes it looks like weird sci-fi horror title and then we get videos like we have below that make it look like some kind of dark deep sea adventure. At least across the board Frictional Games has kept the horror look no matter which vision of SOMA I am looking at. A new developer diary and screenshots for SOMA have been released all focusing on the atmosphere and sounds that will inspire fear in SOMA Given that SOMA is supposed to be a horror-like title it would make sense that there are a lot of creepy sounds during the game. Same goes with the fact that it is a Sci-Fi title as well so we should be expecting a whole lot of that as well. SOMA wouldn't be the title that Frictional Games is pushing if these elements were not present as we all should know that sound and music help drive emotions and tone in video games.
