by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of November 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Heavy Rain A new set of screenshots for Heavy Rain on the PS4 have surfaced to let us see how well Heavy Rain held up from last gen to next gen It has barely been a day since we heard that Heavy Rain was hitting the PS4 on March 1st with all of the upgrades. I figured we wouldn't see any updates or anything until after the PSX this year when Quantic Dream will have a chance to show things off to more fans out there. Looks like I may have been wrong as it looks like we have a few new screenshots for Heavy Rain on the PS4 to show us how well the characters and world are going to make the leap from the PS3 to the PS4. Happy day and more Heavy Rain please! Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of November 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
PS2 Emulation It has been confirmed that PS2 Emulation will be coming to the PS4 so we can have some form of backwards compatibility even if it is only PS2 Emulation Looks like PS2 Emulation is on its way to the PS4 so we can finally have some backwards capabilities with the console now. It has been confirmed by Sony so there is no more debate but based on some titles bundled in with the Star Wars Battlefront editions PS2 Emulation is here and it looks to work well. Few details have been officially stated about it but if things are true from what Digital Foundry found it looks like there is more that PS2 Emulation mixed into this whole update. Some rather interesting things in fact. Read More...

Review — Guitar Hero Live
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of November 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Guitar Hero Live We Sit Down And Review Guitar Hero Live. Things Have Been Changed Up Quite A Bit This Time Around To Make The Franchise Feel New; But Does It Pay Off? Here's Our Review Of Guitar Hero Live Looks like the rhythm game is trying to make a comeback and now we have the other main competitor in the way of Guitar Hero Live. This franchise is one of the ones that made the whole genre as popular as it has become over the years, even with its short hiatus, and FreeStyleGames is bringing it back to try and bring new life into the franchise. Not only is it a new game with, technically, new songs but Guitar Hero Live adds in a few new features and mechanics to said genre but do they help or hinder in the long run? Read More...

Allison Road's Kickstarter Has Been Canceled But It's A Good Thing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of October 2015 - 09:01 PM ]
Allison Road It was announced today that the Kickstarter for Allison Road has been canceled but it is due to the fact that Allison Road will now have a publisher behind it It is usually never a good thing when we are talking cancelation in the video game industry but in the case of Allison Road it looks to be a good thing. The game hasn't been canceled and Lilith Ltd is still working on it but the Kickstarter campaign for Allison Road has been shut down. Not because of anything like Konami getting upset or Hideo Kojima thinking that the game was too much like the one he was working on so long ago. Read More...

12 More Classic Songs Join The Guitar Hero Live Track List
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of October 2015 - 07:01 PM ]
Guitar Hero Live Twelve more tracks have been added to Guitar Hero Live and while not all classics songs they are coming to Guitar Hero Live from past titles in the franchise Time to make the track list for Guitar Hero Live a not so round number of 121 now as we have twelve more tracks to add to the list today. Quite a hefty starting catalog for FreeStyleGames to get in there and I'll take it. Especially since these new Guitar Hero Live tracks have all been pulled from previous Guitar Hero titles that Activision still has the rights to. Read More...

Review — SOMA
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 1st of October 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
SOMA We Sit Down And Review SOMA. Is It Worth Your Time? Is it the horror title that will bring the genre back to fun? Here's Our Review Of Soma As we move into the month of horror there has been one title I have been excited to dive into and it is SOMA. It looks like the best melding of Dead Space and BioShock by Frictional Games with a bit of higher thinking and philosophy mixed in. I won't delve into that too much as it is one of the pivotal aspects of SOMA and I'll keep this as spoiler free as possible but it did capture my eye. Now that September 22nd has come and past I have been able to play SOMA on the PS4 and it is time for my formal review of the game and if it will do what the videos and promos have claimed thus far. Dive Deeper Into The Story Of SOMA With A Web Series
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of September 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
SOMA A new web series for SOMA has been released and it is aiming to bring us all deeper into the story behind SOMA with prequel events If you've had the pleasure to play, start to play, or finish SOMA then you know one of the greatest selling points of the game is the story here. It is thought provoking, dark, and just an interesting tale to wrap around the horror events of this PS4 and PC title. In fact for some SOMA has left players wanting more out of Frictional Games in the way of said story. I'm looking for more story and gameplay personally but it looks like all we are getting at this time is an expansion into SOMA with a live-action mini-series that will be available on the web. This Week In Video Games 9/21/15 — 9/25/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of September 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It's always a great week in video games when you get to use a phrase like "butt theatrics" because it is used in a video game. It is also a good week here when you get to see a whole butt-load of Fallout 4 and Rise Of The Tomb Raider news hit the web. To go one step further it is another great week in video games when we were able to get out our review for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and sing all of the praises that we had for the game as it ate away at our time here. Other video games had to suffer for that one but it was completely worth it. Read More...

Allison Road Creeps Ever Closer To A Real Thing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of September 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Allison Road Allison Road has moved on from being a small demo project and is now looking for funding to make Allison Road the game/experience that fans have been looking for It looks like Allison Road is on its way to becoming a full title for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One as Lilith Ltd is now looking to crowd fund the game through Kickstarter. Pretty much the traditional rout for smaller teams to get funded but in the case of Allison Road it will most likely be the best case scenario given all of the fan support and requests as it looks like this is going to be as close to the famed P.T. SOMA's Story To Ask Us All What It Is To Be Human
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of September 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
The story trailer for SOMA has been released and it gives a bit more insight into the philosophical questions that SOMA will be raising Up until now I have been trying to make heads and tails of what SOMA's overall story will be about. The game launches next week on September 22nd for the PC and PS4 so it seems like it would be high time for Frictional Games to delve into the weirdness that they are known to create. SOMA has definitely shown that freak flag since its very first teaser trailer and now the culmination is here. Along with that we also have some more insight into the story we will be experiencing here in SOMA via a nice new story trailer. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of September 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Another premium show for Guitar Hero Live has been revealed with Avenged Sevenfold taking the bill and letting us play a live concert in Guitar Hero Live For the most part it the title above kind of explains the news here for Guitar Hero Live and the latest Premium Show that has been added to the list. It looks like Avenged Sevenfold is getting another crack with an Activision title here as we will get to play the three song long set here in FreeStyleGames' title in way of a live concert. For those who don't know Guitar Hero Live's Premium Shows are special "shows" that will unlock during your gameplay and completing various in-game challenges. Read More...

SOMA's Creatures Really Are The Fuel For Nightmares…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of September 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Have another look at SOMA's creatures and monsters that will be stalking the depths as we try not to lose our sanity with SOMA Get ready to live and breathe the horror that is SOMA as we have our first kind of look at the creatures that will be stalking us on September 22nd. We've seen a few before in other videos that Frictional Games has shown off but this one kind of takes the cake. At least in terms of setting the mood of SOMA and the horror it is trying to instill. If things pay off I can see SOMA replacing all that hype that Silent Hills had on the PS4 only this time on the PC as well. Read More...
