by [ Saturday, 17th of May 2008 - 10:00 PM ]
Today a few of pwned.com's UK members gathered in London to meet up. Needless to say, the ground trembled with THAT much epicness in one place. LOL, just kidding... sorta. As one of the members who went I can say the other pwned.com people I met are just as awesome in person as they are in our community. The members who went were: Neil (Neil337), Kai (Phate), Gary (Horon), Darren (Mellowd) and Nicky (Navie). Luc (Loveducky) joined us at the pub later on in the day as well! Read More...

Rock Band Rip Off?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of May 2008 - 07:52 PM ]
The First Shot of the Drum Kit that will be used in GH 4 So Activision did what I knew they would. Try to copy it's best competitor to try and cash in on a market that they didn't get in on from the start. Yes, the pic above is of a new drum kit to be used in Guitar Hero 4. If you didn't hear already, the next Guitar Hero will have vocals and drums added into the mix. And this is the pick of the drum kit that will most likely be used in the game. Granted it is different from the Rock Band one, having three pads and two dedicated cymbals added as well. Read More...

Metal Gear Mania
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 13th of May 2008 - 06:05 PM ]
Metal Gear Mania The Metal Gear Craze Is Going On Konami seems to be revving up the hype for this game much like Rock star did for the latest GTA. Trailers and ads galore. Some of which kind of cool. This first little set of videos is a bunch of ads. Everything from, what I assume is, an energy drink ad all the way to a trailer complete with the guy who has been smoking way too many cigarettes doing a voice over. That would be the first one. It was awesome. Read More...

Boob Pudding
by [ Tuesday, 13th of May 2008 - 03:05 PM ]
Just when you thought those silly japanese had run out of innocent things to twist into some distorted view of sexuality... they put out boob pudding. Boobies you can eat, literally. Go on, I'll give you a few seconds for that to sink in... Here we have some pictures of the product... you even have to remove the cardboard bra from the suspiciously young looking girl before you can get to what we all know is going to happen: licking the boob. Not only is she winking, but she is also holding her boobs in her hands. Pedophilia and dessert... Read More...

God Of War III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of May 2008 - 03:36 PM ]
Amazon Taking Pre-Orders For God Of War III Being an avid fan of the God of War franchise, I nearly jumped for joy when I saw this on Amazon while shopping for a few books. Yes I read books too. But in any instance. I saw this, as well as a load of other sites, and decided to talk about it here for you. It's pretty much the first "solid" kind of information that has been released. But then again, this could all just be an early thing that they are trying to cash in on from the start. Read More...

To anyone who has seen Ringu or the U.S. remake, The Ring, is familiar with having only 7 days to live after watching a videotape. Well Square Enix brings a new IP to the Nintendo DS, which replaces the tape with a note.  You play as a young college student whom receives a note, known as "The Game Of The Curse" along with friends that says you must pass this on to someone else or die within 7 days.  You don't take it seriously until one of your friends dies in a tragic death after receiving the same note.  Now you must try and figure out the curse as you are approaching your turn to die. Crafting Beautiful Stars
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 8th of May 2008 - 08:05 PM ]
More Star Craft 2 News K, well not really news per say, but at least it is more video on how it is looking and shaping up. If they keep going on the rout it looks, my faith in Blizzard since the Activition buy out will be restored. The video of the game looks absolutely amazing and this is just a bunch of place holders for the Zerg and such. The intro where the human is armoring up looks almost to die for as well. One thing I liked to here is that it is going well and that they are keeping things that worked well in the past. Read More...

by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2008 - 10:53 PM ]
Debuting today is the official Gameplay Trailer of Mirror's Edge from EA developer DICE. It shows off the acrobatics of the lead character, Faith, who is a runner for criminal organizations. The basis of the story is she is trying to free her sister who is imprisoned by the totalitarian government that is pursuing her during her exploits. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2008 - 09:16 PM ]
Butt Loads Of Updates Out Of Playstation Day   Because I couldn't afford to go international and to the Playstation Day in London, I'm relying on one of my favorite news sites to hook up the cut. So there will be quite a bit here seeing as it all goes under the same news area. No point in doing a plethora of news posts when they can all be placed here. Enjoy Killzone 2 Dated for 2009 So not too much on this game, but the release date has been given for it. Well more a release month than anything. Read More...

Portal Is Still Alive...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2008 - 04:28 PM ]
More Maps For Portal This was a triumph... I'm making a note here... HUGE SUCCESS! Ok enough of that. But you really can't deny the fact that the game was a huge thing. It spawned all kinds of other media based off of just this little mod to Half Life. And it just keeps coming out. This time in more maps based from the 2D Flash version of the game. This is a 40 map pack and features a new "test subject" for these said levels. Yes you read it. Read More...

May 5, 1992: Wolfenstein 3-D Shoots the First-Person Shooter Into Fame
by Aaron BlueWolf72 Molloy [ Tuesday, 6th of May 2008 - 01:56 PM ]
1992: Id Software releases Wolfenstein 3-D, and it launches a huge computer-game category.  Wolfenstein 3-D may not have been the very first "first-person shooter," as the genre came to be known, but it was by far the most successful. What fond memories of Wolfenstein 3-D.  To be that young again and PWNED.com wishes you a Happy 3-D Day!   Players in the game assume the role of an American commando battling Nazis and their supernatural servants.
