Review: Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures Episode 4: The Bogey Man
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 3rd of September 2009 - 05:22 AM ]
If you wish to read my review of Episode 1: Fright of the Bumblebees and get more background, click here. My review of Episode 2: The Last Resort is here. The most recent, Episode 3: Muzzled! is here. All good things must come to an end, so they say. As it is in overused quotes, so it is with the delightful Wallace&Gromit's Grand Adventures from Telltale Games. This marks the fourth and final tale of England's favourite inventor and his clever canine companion. Alliteration aside, Episode 4: The Bogey Man closes up any holes left in the moderately overarching narrative of the tetralogy while leaving more than adequate room to follow up with a new story for this duo. I See Those Wild Things Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of September 2009 - 01:39 AM ]
Where The Wild Things Are Screen Shots Maybe it is just me or is anyone else excited to see this film, Where The Wild Things Are. The only thing I'm not to keen on is the fact that they are making a game to cash in on my old memories. Cash in on all the new fans and kids that have never even heard of the story before. But what is new right? You have a movie that will drive people to see it, why not pump out a game? Read More...

Grand Theft Auto comes to iPhone and iPod touch
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 1st of September 2009 - 09:31 PM ]
Take2 interactive announced yesterday that they will be releasing Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the iPhone and iPod touch. With the release of the game on Nintendo DS, and PSP in late October, it’s no surprise that they are developing for the iPod touch/iPhone which is quickly becoming the next generation portable gamer system. I remember playing the original grand theft auto, and this new version is very reminiscent of that. The top-down, open-world style game play is really bringing back the roots of the original Grand theft auto. Read More...

Review: Guitar Hero 5
by Ben Brody [ Tuesday, 1st of September 2009 - 11:25 AM ]
So another one is out. I won't bother you with what Guitar Hero is, nor will I bore you with details about how the game is played, or whether it plays well. Yes, it plays well, and yes, it is same as it always has been, press the note on the bars then strum when the according color passes the bar. However, there are some new additions that make Guitar Hero 5 the best Guitar Hero yet. Party play is long overdue, and something that was almost added into Rock Band 1. Party play is just that, a mode for a party. Read More...

Collecting The God Of Trophies
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of August 2009 - 04:11 PM ]
God Of War® Collection So the rumors were out there. The feedback was out there. Sony listened and is going forth with it. God of War Collection is coming this holiday season. November/December for those of you who may not get our whacking American time frames still. Before my wit of title begin people all a fluster as it has in the past, let me touch on more. Not only are the releasing both God of War and God of War II on a BluRay making it so those without backwards compatible PS3s can enjoy them, but there is so much more. Like remastered it with anti-aliased graphics running at 60 frames per second. Read More...

Wolfenstein Review
by Ben Brody [ Saturday, 29th of August 2009 - 11:42 AM ]
Perhaps it's a little to old for some of you younger gamers out there, but Wolfenstein has always had a place in my heart. Wolfenstein 3D revolutionized the FPS genre, and while Wolfenstein doesn't have as much of an impact on the video game industry as Wolfenstein 3D did, it is certainly a fun filled game. The game is a sequel to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, which was released for the PS2, PC, and XBOX in 2001, and stars William “BJ” Blackowitz, who was the protagonist in the previous Wolfenstein games. While Wolfenstein departs from many of the nostalgic elements that RTCW had, it keeps the main tradition of Wolfenstein alive: Supernatural Nazis are trying to take over the world. Read More...

Calling In FFXIII Shots
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of August 2009 - 10:12 PM ]
And look, they were called in. Well at least seven of them. Seven glorious new looks at this highly anticipated game that seems to be forever off on the horizon; teasing all of us in North America or pretty much anywhere that isn't Japan since they do get it this Winter. Those damn Japanese*. These screens show off a little bit of the CGI that Square-Enix is well known for, as well as some of the in-game stuff and combat system. The aesthetics are something that has yet to let me down in any way for this game. I just really hope that the storytelling aspect of the game isn't being hurt at all because they are spending months trying to get the shine and opacity looking perfect in the ice levels. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of August 2009 - 09:00 PM ]
I Got A Car And A Date. Some Chicks N' Booze N' Stuff. Then I Ran To The Hills. All for some Hair Remover, and Now You Must Tell The Tale. All to rock out and be Six Degrees Of Schafer. Now I am a Rock God! Oh snap! Ok, no you don't, but I thought it a fun way to work some of these fun and metal achievement/trophy names into this. This being the official list of the Achievement and Trophies you will be able to collect this coming October Rocktober in Brütal Legend. For a game that was originally designed to be a multiplayer RTS, you would have expected to find more of the multiplayer stuff as trophies too. Read More...

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - Ultimate Character Reveal (Spider-Man)
by Jesse [ Thursday, 27th of August 2009 - 11:22 AM ]
Spider-Man is easily one of the most iconic superheroes ever created. Since being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker’s life has become a roller coaster ride of mammoth proportions. Living with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, Peter grew up trying to live by Ben’s example of great power and great responsibility. Peter was still a high school student when he first dawned a costume and has gone on to battle against such deadly enemies as Venom, Doctor Octopus, Kraven, and on and on. His most bitter enemy though, the Green Goblin, is a villain who will forever be known to Peter as he was the man responsible for killing Peter’s love Gwen Stacy. Read More...

It's About Time To Get Wet
by Kevin [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2009 - 10:36 PM ]
One of the more curious titles of the year has presented a demo for PS3 owners and Xbox owners. For the uninitiated, Wet is an action game that combines shooting and swordplay with all kinds of crazy acrobatics. The main character, Rubi voiced by Elisha Dushku, carries twin pistols and a sword and does all of the fun filled John Woo-esque moves that have become standard fare in most action titles these days. One of the better elements of the gunplay is that she automatically target an additional enemy which allows some ease and versatility with your firefight strategy. She also has the ability to fuse attacks together, and your acrobatics aren't limited to flipping off of a wall, but you can substitute a person instead of the aformentioned wall. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2009 - 08:23 PM ]
The Saboteur Screen Shots So The Saboteur tried to sneak by with a quiet showing of the game. Either because they were drowned out by al the Blizzcon news and other GamesCom news that was all a flutter. But you know what? We at AggroGamer here caught these sneaks trying to get past everyone's view. We caught the game in action here and we caught it red handed. Climbing, driving and sneaking on the peripherals of everyone's views. Read More...

Manhunting For Rumors
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of August 2009 - 03:48 PM ]
Manhunt 2 PC Rated AO Who wants to play Manhunt 2 the way it was originally designed to be played? You know the version that originally netted the game and AO (Adults Only) rating way back in October of 2007. The version that was deemed so violent, raunchy, and filthy that it was banned in a few countries and had to undergo massive censorships to be made into a M (Mature) rated game. I know I do. Maybe it would be the game everyone was hoping for. Read More...
